Four against one.
The advantage was ours.
Although most of the cannon fodder around them had already been cleaned up, Valleta did not look the least bit rattled. After all, the full combat power of this body of hers had not even been completely brought out yet.
Besides, there was no guarantee the people in front of her could beat her anyway.
Only that red armored spider had made her feel threatened.
As for that reckless fool charging straight at her, Valleta had to admit he really did have what it took to go toe-to-toe with her. But a brainless brawler like that was nothing to fear.
She spat out a venomous web coated in corrosive slime. Using that brief opening, the giant body behind her extended two energy-piercing cannons and fired a pair of blasts straight at the Captain rushing toward her.
Reckless, yes.
But that did not mean Steve was stupid.
He instantly dropped into a slide and dodged the attack. But that toxic web was already flying toward him. Realizing things were going bad, flames burst from his left hand and completely burned the web away.
The problem was that once the web was burned up, it released a thick poisonous smoke.
That corrosive gas even started eating into the body armor of many of the bystanders and NYPD officers watching nearby.
"Now that's what I call the Human Torch."
Kamen Rider Killbus raised one hand, and a blood-red mist condensed into a solid barrier, sealing the toxic smoke outside.
"Oh? So you know that other nickname too. Before he became one of the founding members of the Defenders Alliance, he used to be with the Fantastic Four. His codename was the Human Torch."
Tony said in surprise.
By all rights, almost nobody knew that, and Peter should have been way too young to know it even if it was public. Yet somehow he always seemed to know everything.
"Wait, that was real?! I was just making an actor joke..."
Peter said, speechless.
So what was this? A blind guess somehow hitting the mark?
"All right. Let's move."
The moment Kamen Rider Killbus gave the order, Gwen swung in first on her webbing, and the Electro-Pulse device in her hand fired off an electromagnetic blast.
Once the smoke cleared, it could not be called completely ineffective, but it definitely had not done much either.
You could say it was a lot of smoke, not much damage.
At the same time, Iron Man had switched over to his backup power source. If he stayed at thirty percent, he might shut down at any moment.
But while the backup source was syncing up, he could only maintain defensive systems and take hits passively. Fortunately, with Gwen and Peter around, he probably would not be targeted.
When the smoke finally dispersed, Gwen was already on Valleta's back. Thick strands of webbing were stuck all over her rear armor, slowing down her movements.
At that moment, Gwen looked like a beast tamer trying to control a crazed monster.
Valleta, blinded by rage, did not even notice Gwen on her back. She only stared at Peter standing calmly in front of her and twisted her face into a savage grin.
"You're already pretty scary-looking. Can you maybe not make that face too?"
Kamen Rider Killbus said with open disgust.
"You sharp-tongued brat! Do you really think switching forms means you can beat me?! You know nothing about Hydra!"
The grin on Valleta's face became even more twisted as her steel forelimbs lashed out.
But in Kamen Rider Killbus's eyes, her attack looked incredibly slow.
He could clearly see the cruel smile on her ugly face, the swollen veins bulging like centipedes, and the burn scars left all over her skin by old flames.
"How is that possible?!"
Valleta's eyes widened in shock.
She could not believe what she was seeing.
Her steel spider spears could pierce a tank with ease, yet the man in front of her had blocked them casually with one arm. And no matter how hard she pushed, she could not advance even a step farther.
"You know nothing about power."
Kamen Rider Killbus said coldly. Then, with his other hand, he yanked the lever on his belt.
"Killbus Spider Finish!"
A huge magic-like spiderweb phantom instantly spread across the ground beneath Valleta.
Kamen Rider Killbus began darting around her at an absolute speed of one hundred meters per second, while strands of webbing tougher than anything Spider-Man normally used tightly bound her in place.
To everyone else, all they could see was a red blur flashing back and forth. No one could tell what he was actually doing.
Kamen Rider Killbus had become so fast it was absurd. The entire space around them even started cracking with sonic booms.
Seeing that her restraint had bought them an opening, Gwen did not hesitate for a second. She swung away immediately, leaving the area that looked like it was about to explode.
As the giant magic spiderweb finished forming, Kamen Rider Killbus snapped his webbing and flung Valleta high into the air.
The sheer force lifted her five-meter-tall body clean off the ground and sent her flying more than ten meters up.
Then Kamen Rider Killbus jumped.
In an instant, his body shot a hundred meters into the sky. Four giant red spider-spears appeared behind him, gradually folding together into a drill-shaped spike. Then came his devastating kick.
Red lightning crackled across the sky, and the very air seemed to distort.
Boom!
Five seconds later, Kamen Rider Killbus and Valleta crashed down at the same time.
The ground split apart. Explosive smoke spread everywhere. The roar of the blast echoed nonstop.
And just outside the cloud of smoke, Kamen Rider Killbus stood with his back to the explosion.
Because that looked cool.
Hah.
Showing up and causing trouble on his birthday really was the fastest way to piss him off.
After landing that unbelievably destructive Rider Kick, the irritation in Peter's chest was swept away.
That kick had come close to a hundred tons of force.
There was no way she could still be alive after that.
Tony, who had just finished switching power sources, stared at the still-exploding impact zone and did not know what to say.
He had just recharged, had his secret weapon ready, and was all set to make his big move.
And the enemy was already beaten?
The Captain, standing nearby, listened to the continuing explosions and stared at the wrecked battlefield in a daze. He had fought Valleta head-on for several rounds and gotten nowhere, yet Peter had just taken her down like that.
The Captain genuinely had not expected such a small body to hold that much power.
Was he really getting old?
Outside the battlefield, the reporter, the cameraman, the audience watching on TV, the NYPD officers, and all the bystanders were equally stunned.
No one had expected Wraith Spider to become this powerful after switching into his armored form.
And this much more brutal.
Suddenly, Peter's Spider-Sense blared a warning. His body reacted on instinct, and Kamen Rider Killbus leaped backward, vacating his position.
As the smoke from the attack began to thin out, chunks of precision steel armor started dropping off the giant five-meter spider monster piece by piece.
But Peter could tell clearly.
The fight was not ending that easily.
This was probably Hydra's contingency plan.
Or else she still had a bigger trump card left.
