Chapter 260 - Chapter 260: Clash Again!

As Liu Yuan's cold command fell, the members of the Sun Moon Empire's Imperial Enshrinement Group hiding behind the ridge no longer concealed their auras.

In an instant, streaks of light of various colors plunged down from the smoke-shrouded heights, carrying overwhelming pressure.

Jing Hongchen was fully encased in the Mortal World's Blessing Armor. Several Ninth-Rank Soul Tool Interference Balls hovered behind him, continuously releasing sizzling low-frequency pulses that forcibly severed lingering evil-energy sensing.

Kong Deming strode forward in his silver robe. Each step sent violent ripples through space itself as he gestured calmly, pre-locking multiple spatial coordinates and opening an absolute attack route for those behind him.

Below, amidst the ruins, dark red firelight flickered endlessly.

Above the collapsed remains of the White Bone Assembly Hall, three terrifying figures finally emerged from the thick smoke.

Ye Xishui was in a wretched state. Her once-neat dark red robes were scorched in multiple places by the earlier bombardment, her cloak torn and tattered. Extreme rage twisted her expression into something hideous. Around her swirled blood-colored vengeful spirits so dense they were nearly black, their corrosive power melting the ground into deep pits with every movement.

Long Xiaoyao guarded her flank. His Dark Holy Dragon Martial Soul had fully materialized, a massive black dragon coiling above the ruins as it spewed dragon breath, trying to dispel the residual soul-tool radiation and heat.

At their center stood the cult leader, Zhongli Wu, gripping a pallid Death God Bone Staff. Ghastly green ghost fire flickered within his eye sockets. Half of his body had been blasted apart by the earlier explosion, yet it was rapidly scabbing over under the maintenance of forbidden evil arts.

Both sides halted on an open gravel plain roughly two hundred meters from the crypt's entrance.

"Kong Deming, Jing Hongchen," Zhongli Wu hissed, staring at them with bone-deep hatred, "has your Sun Moon Empire truly gone mad? Using stationary soul tool shells of this level—are you trying to drag the entire outskirts of Bright Capital down with you?"

Jing Hongchen sneered, the cannon barrels behind him beginning to recharge. "Zhongli Wu, instead of worrying about Bright Capital, you should worry about how many of you gutter rats can survive today. Inviting wolves into the house, murdering your own kin to seize power—your Holy Spirit Cult has stretched its claws too far. Today, we cut them off."

Ye Xishui stepped forward, her gaze bypassing Kong Deming entirely and locking onto Liu Yuan at the front of the formation. A cruel smile curved her lips.

"Little bastard, it's you again. I knew sparing you last time was the greatest mistake of my life. But it doesn't matter—deep within this Evil Demon Forest, even that green dragon won't save you."

Long Xiaoyao let out a low sigh and turned to Kong Deming, his voice tinged with weary confidence. "Deming, you should understand. Even after that bombardment, Xishui and I are still standing. Two Limit Douluo, plus Zhongli Wu and six remaining Titled Douluo Elders. Your Ninth-Rank Soul Engineers are formidable, but if we fight to the end, few of you will leave this place alive."

His words were not without basis.

Though the Holy Spirit Cult's headquarters had suffered catastrophic losses and its lower ranks were nearly wiped out, over seventy percent of its top-tier combat power remained. Besides the two Limit Douluo and the ninety-eighth-rank Zhongli Wu, six Elders survived—most of them Super Douluo above rank ninety-five.

On the Sun Moon Empire's side, aside from Kong Deming, Jing Hongchen, and Ye Yulin, the remaining five enshrinement members were also Titled Douluo. Against the bizarre and desperate methods of Evil Soul Masters, their numerical advantage was far from decisive.

For a moment, an oppressive silence blanketed the battlefield.

Evil qi surged skyward from the Holy Spirit Cult's side, faintly forming a colossal skull in the air, opposing the starlight and metallic brilliance radiating from the Empire's forces.

Then Liu Yuan spoke.

His clear, icy voice cut through the ruins, shattering the stalemate.

"Long Xiaoyao, you overestimate yourself—and underestimate me."

He turned to those beside him, issuing orders without hesitation. "Old Kong, Zhongli Wu is yours. His soul-controlling tricks are perfectly countered by your spatial laws. End him as quickly as possible."

Kong Deming nodded calmly, his silver robe fluttering without wind. "He won't escape."

Liu Yuan then looked toward the Snow Empress. Their eyes met, understanding passing without words.

"Xue'er," Liu Yuan said softly, "Long Xiaoyao is yours. He's a Limit Douluo—only you can pin him down completely and keep him from interfering."

The Snow Empress inclined her head slightly. The emperor sword's cold qi spread outward, freezing the scorched ground beneath her feet into solid ice. "He won't leave my ice-bound domain."

Finally, Liu Yuan turned to Ye Xishui, who was glaring at him with murderous intent. His gaze was utterly calm, as though he were already looking at a corpse.

"As for Ye Xishui—since she's so interested in me, I'll personally see her off."

A brief silence fell across the field.

Even Jing Hongchen, who had witnessed Liu Yuan's power before, felt a chill crawl down his spine.

After all, Ye Xishui was the infamous Death God Douluo, her methods even more insidious than Long Xiaoyao's.

Ye Xishui froze for an instant before bursting into shrill laughter, fury blazing in her eyes. "Hahaha! Liu Yuan, do you really think that with your rank seventy-something spirit power and a beast spirit, you can face a Limit Douluo head-on? Last time was nothing but my carelessness. Do you think you can repeat it?"

"Is that so?"

Liu Yuan sneered.

Without another word, he pushed off the ground and shot a hundred meters into the sky.

"Dynamax—Mega Rayquaza!"

At his low shout, the clear sky twisted violently. A dark red vortex formed overhead, three enormous pink clouds spinning within it. Jade-green divine light pierced heaven and earth, and amid a deafening dragon roar, a colossal dragon body expanded within the void.

This time, Liu Yuan held nothing back.

The pressure of Dynamax locked directly onto Ye Xishui. That overwhelming force, born of higher-order laws, instantly silenced the clamoring Evil Soul Master Elders. Several collapsed to their knees, unable to withstand the crushing might.

Ye Xishui's expression changed dramatically. Sensing that familiar, terrifying pressure, she shrieked and activated her Martial Soul True Body. A massive Death God phantom rose behind her, countless blood-red ghostly hands blotting out the sky as she tried to resist the descending dragon might.

But Liu Yuan gave her no time.

"Extreme Speed!"

He thrust his palm downward.

High above, Mega Rayquaza surged through dark red thunder, its immense body turning into a blurred jade-green afterimage. Empowered by Dynamax, the force behind its movement transcended ordinary physical limits.

The air itself did not tear—it was forcibly evacuated.

All Ye Xishui saw was a mountain-sized dragon claw filling her vision. Before she could activate a defensive spirit ability, the shockwave alone shattered her Death God True Body's protective barrier.

Bang—!

A dull impact echoed across a hundred-mile radius.

The towering Death God phantom disintegrated on contact, collapsing like a fragile red illusion. Ye Xishui spat out a mouthful of blood mixed with internal fragments as her body was hurled hundreds of meters away, smashing through a surviving white bone tower and burying her deep beneath the rubble.

In a single exchange—

The once-dominant Death God Douluo was completely and utterly wounded by Mega Rayquaza's full-powered Extreme Speed.

The Holy Spirit Cult's Elders stood frozen in disbelief. Staring at the colossal beast blotting out the sky, their rage turned into raw terror.

High above, Liu Yuan's jade-green hair whipped in the gale as he raised his right hand once more, eyes cold as ice.

"Since you call yourself a Death God…"

"Then go and experience death."
