Chapter 10 - the voss's brothers

•the voss's brothers•

The SUV car engine hummed quietly.

Inside the tinted vehicle, Josh Voss leaned back in his seat, one arm resting lazily against the window.

But his eyes—

His eyes were locked on the scene outside.

On Lila.

On Adrian.

On the entire crowd whispering around them.

Josh smirked slowly.

"So this will be interesting."

The driver didn't respond.

He knew better than to interrupt when a Voss was talking.

Josh tapped his fingers lightly against the armrest.

Interesting.

Very interesting.

Because Adrian Voss—his older brother—always created scenes but has never, ever

never defended anyone publicly yet to give a f**k about anyone.

Never made headlines without meaning to.

And yet—

Josh had just watched him claim a girl in front of an entire campus.

Josh chuckled.

"Oh well looks like brothers has a new obsession dammnn ....she in real trouble now."

The car door opened.

Josh stepped out.

Immediately, the air shifted.

Students whispered again.

"Another one…"

"That's Josh Voss!"

"The younger brother!"

Marcus groaned under his breath.

"Oh fantastic."

Maya—still shocked—grabbed Becky's's arm.

"Why are there TWO of them here?!"

Josh walked toward them slowly, hands in his pockets.

Confident.

Relaxed.

Dangerous.

He stopped a few steps away and looked Lila over carefully.

Curious.

Calculating.

Then he smiled.

"So you're the one causing chaos."

Lila blinked.

"I'm not—"

Marcus cut in.

"Oh she definitely is."

Adrian's voice turned colder.

"Josh. Why are you here?"

Josh shrugged lazily.

"I heard my brother was trending on Westbrook campus."

He gestured around at the watching students.

"And clearly the audience is enjoying the show."

He then glanced around.

And his expression changed.

Phones.

Too many damn phones.

Recording.

Whispering.

Posting.

Josh sighed slightly.

Then he turned his head.

"Daniel."

One of the suited men stepped forward instantly.

"Yes, sir."

Josh's voice was calm.

Too calm.

"Tell everyone here to delete those recordings."

The bodyguard nodded.

Josh added softly—

"And explain what happens if they don't."

The bodyguard stepped forward.

His voice was firm and cold.

"You heard him."

He looked directly at the crowd.

"Delete the videos."

The students froze.

Some laughed nervously.

One guy muttered,

"You can't make us—"

The bodyguard stepped closer.

His expression didn't change.

"But we can."

Silence.

Another guard spoke calmly.

"If any footage appears online…"

He paused.

"You will regret it."

Phones began disappearing instantly.

Students started deleting videos.

Jason Carter looked devastated as he erased his recording.

"Great my best story… gone."he muttered

Marcus leaned toward Maya.

"Welcome to billionaire damage control."

Within seconds, the crowd had gone from excited—

To terrified.

Josh nodded in satisfaction.

"Good."

Then he turned back toward Adrian.

Their eyes met.

A silent conversation passed between them.

Adrian sighed quietly.

"This wasn't necessary."

Josh smirked.

"You caused a scene."

He glanced at Lila again.

"I'm just cleaning it up."

Lila stood there frozen.

She couldn't believe what she had just witnessed.

People were literally deleting evidence because of them.

Maya—still holding Beckys arm—whispered,

"Okay… this is officially insane."

Marcus rubbed the back of his neck.

"Yep it's insane."

Josh finally stepped back.

"Well," he said casually.

"This was entertaining."

He looked at Adrian.

"You ready to leave or what bro?"

Adrian glanced at Lila one last time.

His expression like he doesn't give a damn what just happened now.

Then he spoke .

"You better stay the f**k away from Megan for now understood."

Lila opened her mouth—

But before she could say anything, Adrian turned away.

He and Josh walked toward the car.

The two brothers headed toward the car with Marcus behind them .

Students parted instantly to make way for them.

No one dared speak.

No one dared record.

The car door opened.

Josh paused before entering.

He looked back at Lila one last time waving at her and smirked before muttering.

"See you around ."

Then he got inside the car.

Adrian followed next then marcus.

The door shut.

Seconds later—

The black car drove away.

The parking lot slowly returned to life.

Students began whispering again.

But this time—

More cautiously.

Lila stood there frozen trying to process everything.

Her heart still racing.

She looked at Maya then Becky.

"I think… my life just got really complicated."

Maya was still staring at the road where the car disappeared.

"I think… you just got adopted by the voss."

Becky sighed.

"Honestly?"

She glanced at Lila.

"That's not even the worst possibility."

Lila stared at them both.

Still trying to process everything.

Because one thing was now painfully clear.

Meeting Adrian Voss…

Had changed everything.

And there was no going bac...🖤k
