Bam!
My back slams against the house walls due to being punched. By who might one ask, a Gorilla and i don't mean that in any poetic way but literally a gorilla.
"cough..... cough quick question Sai how is it that this place is equip with state of the art technology years ahead of mankind when it doesn't have a security system"
Standing up as i complained with Sai who had entered my consciousness."don't blame me, i have never been in a situation where anyone pulls up to your home uninvited with threats"
Sigh as i stood up dodging a canon blast from the weapon carried by the Gorilla!
A flashback to 30 minutes ago
Right after i was done training and walked out of the basement i found this talking gorilla in the living with everything looking like world war 3 passed by the place, turns out The Brain had some few parts in experimenting on me and was among the first to notice the energy signature from my body back then.
Now that i hard escaped, he obviously tracked me down and sent his most competent minion after me.
Real time
"You could end this in three seconds if you just let the fire out," Sai noted, her voice echoing in my mind with an annoying amount of academic detachment. "One concentrated burst would turn that primate to ash."
"And risk having an obsessed literally walking brain chase me halfway the entire planet, am sorry but I don't like that level of stalkers" i reply as I jump over the coffee table avoiding another blast attack!
"Okay i get that but why don't you absorb the attack and reflect it then!" Sai asks with a bored tone and somewhat confused manner.
"Am not gonna lie here but i forgot i could do that, you made me train but forced me to not just that ability it just skipped my mind" i wait patiently.
The gorilla roared—a sound that vibrated the fillings in my teeth—and swung the massive cannon toward me again. The barrel glowed a violent, charging blue.
"Now!" shouted Sai as i moved in front of the barrel taking in the full attack before grabbing it in my fist punching its canon and it.
Boom!
A loud explosion echos as the Gorilla is sent flying through the house outside followed by a powerful shock wave! I did risk waiting to see if the fight was over especially knowing DC villains with backup plans so i froze time and flew out of the area.
I resume time once i was in a town far from the place and start moving through the streets sight seeing, the pain from the fight was slowly healing and the wounds already gone like they were never there!
As i moved through the crowds and arrived at a small cafe to try some hot chocolate cocoa, something i only heard my brothers and siblings from my past live take about so often and the delicious treats so i wasn't about to let a fight against a gorilla ruin this day plus i was planning to join the young justice or teen titans.
I wasn't only training in the basement but learning about the world am in now, i certainly didn't wanna wake up one morning and find out Louis Lane died in the hands of joker or worse the Joker was killed.
Shivering at those thoughts, sometimes i understand why batman fears his team and has backup plans for everyone. Anyway the young Justice have just been formed some two years back and the titans longer thanks to the newly young superhero Nightwing or just Dick Greyson previously Robin. So am sure i could join them since they are all in their initial stages.
"Well, looks like someone has everything thought out!" exclaims Sai as i ordered my pastries and sat in a corner of the cafe "what am i to do! believe it or not but am a big fan of some of them."defending myself as i lean back on my chair.
"Really that's all or are you just thinking of which girl you can easily make yours!" teased Sai making me flushed and a bit embarrassed "hey, its bad peeking into people's heads plus do you blame me for thinking that!" i retort back defensively.
"fufufufu no i don't blame you, in fact am intrigued by your idea, i have seen the multiverse and realized that these teams have the most messy relationships but let's see your charm work, two candidates are available right now good luck!"
Wondering what she meant by that when suddenly someone grabs my drink before sitting by the window "We meet again fire boy, you seem different!"
"come on now hammerhead, we don't want another fight involving these people" says cliff as he sits opposite me and lastly "Greetings my name's Megan!" introduces herself before sitting near hammerhead.
I rubbed my head a bit feeling like things got very complicated. "well first off my name's Mike not fire boy secondly how did you people even find me and lastly stop trying to enter my head!"
I respond calmly before warning Megan aka Miss Martian because i could feel her mental energy slowly probing my brain
