Francis frowned.
He still had enough strength left to keep fighting. If he wanted to, he could kill Eron and perhaps half of the gods gathered here. His exhaustion was nothing more than an act. He wanted to see what they would do next.
However, defeating all of them was an entirely different matter.
Their sheer numbers and perfectly coordinated Authorities left him with no path to victory.
Worse, most of his parasite abilities were nearly useless against them. They were beings of pure divine energy, not flesh and blood. There were no biological weaknesses to exploit, no nervous systems to invade, no organs to consume.
For the first time in a long while, he found himself facing an enemy his powers weren't designed to counter.
He could also escape for the time being. He could spend years—perhaps even decades—growing stronger.
Eventually...
He would surpass every god standing here.
