And you who were caught in the mess and was fired along with your branch, finished you got nothing to do and everyone in your branch was given a ship to send you all to your respective world's.
However, the government of your branch was working, not wanting their secret to be known sent frigates to silence everyone in the ship.
But the ship contains the branch which has one of the brightest minds and saw this and narrowly escaped from the enemies clutches and successfully escaped, touching down an unknown planet, the ship was badly damaged and only forty percent of the branch survived.
Unaware of the new planet, and thought they had escaped, the frigates secretly followed them behind to a planet and used it as a mask to hide the deaths of this branch and use it as an excuse for the government they worked against its enemy countries.
The arriving frigates unknowingly thought this was a normal planet capable of having life, but they were wrong, so wrong that when they pointed all their cannons to the ground, many life signatures rose, appearing across every part of the map filtering large green map to red.
This was one of the hive worlds, the only surviving swarm, the last remaining planet to house zergs.
Overtime the enemy ships in the air were destroyed and fell.
Seeing this the branch members were filled with dread.
After the enemy ships fell and exploded, the surroundings became noisy and zergs surrounded them, their escape to survive ended with them at the mercy of the zergs.
The zergs who saw them, didn't take a few seconds break and took them away, they were taken underground and entered a large cave and brought before a juvenile Queen zerg roughly the size of six meters and the area around them are full of eggs.
A two point three meter zerg arrived before the Queen zerg and told her, the Queen zerg nods and you though every one will become food took notice of this and hurriedly ran and negotiated with the Queen zerg and proposed to modify and enhance them with the help of his branch to pave the zergs a way again to the stars.
The Queen zerg agrees and you sighed and hearing this news brought tears of happiness to the entire branch.
They were after all bested in the field of biology and because of that they worked in a massive project to modify ships and mechs to gain the traits of zerg's and they had a breakthrough in this technology.
Sadly they were fired before they can incorporate this.
Now with the approval of zergs, they started working and modifying its species weakness and gained alot of qualitative transformations. Improving the same one insect form they had to many variations.
The juvenile Queen zerg too gained the ability to produce not just one data of the same zerg, but hundreds, from birthing other Queen Zergs, it can now birth behemoths in the swarm and zergs having long range attacks. The branch's potential of evolving zergs to a new high was not what the government could think of them achieve.
Sooner or later their dreams of getting revenge are no longer far away, symbiotic zergs transformed the broken ships, becoming newly made ones into entirely new zerg capable of unleashing high intense laser and produce energy shield.
And these researches from this branch keep improving everytime a zerg dies and added and used DNAs of other living organisms in planets.
Feeling delighted with the help of this branch of researchers, the Zerg Queen did not idle and produced many Zerg Queens that differ from her and sent them to nearby planets to make the swarm larger, turning them into hive worlds
Years later, the goverment that tried to silence them faced the horror of Zergs again. From Ships made of zergs that carry armies inside and can fire weapons from its cannons, large zerg moons made up almost entirely of one colossal zerg, countless number of sizes and different variations filtering around them like grains of sand.
Now the government shall know the consequences of going against their fellow humans.

I know zergs can be exaggerated, but you can't deny that some versions of them are just large insects with superhuman strength like the ones from starship troopers. So here's the catch, what if such versions of zerg were to meet humans and transform them into the monsters of themselves from stellaris, Tyranid, starcraft, dead space, halo, mass effect etc.
Such concept is not explored more and if it were, it's likely to be discontinued or hiatus from the author like her Majesty's swarm.
