PROPOSAL: THE LIBRARY OF UNWRITTEN ECHOES

WORLD: A silent, infinite library exists at the soft, fraying edge of reality. It is not a place of books, but of Resonance Shelves. Each shelf holds the tangible echo of a story that was almost told—a dream abandoned on waking, a novel's first page forever blank, a lie swallowed instead of spoken, a destiny refused. The echoes manifest as faint, whispering objects: a key that fits no lock, a compass needle spinning endlessly, a single petal from a flower that never bloomed.

CONFLICT: The Library is curated by the Lacuna, beings of profound stillness who maintain the sacred quiet. They are threatened by Interlopers—artists, madmen, and broken-hearted souls from our world who, in moments of extreme creation or loss, accidentally tear through and stumble into the stacks. Their very presence, their noisy potential, causes the unstable echoes to react, sometimes violently. An Interloper's unchecked hope or despair can give an echo just enough energy to become a Plot Ghost—a half-formed, narrative-hungry entity that desires only one thing: to be written into existence, by any means necessary.

OUTLINE (CHAPTER 1 - THE FIRST TEAR):

Our Protagonist: Leo, a graphic novelist with paralyzing writer's block, stares at a blank page. In a fit of frustration, he crumples the paper and throws it. It doesn't hit the wall. It rips the air, revealing a corridor of impossible, silent shelves.

The Intrusion: Leo steps through. The silence is a physical pressure. He sees a shelf where a faint, ghostly chess piece (a knight) rotates slowly. Without thinking, he touches it.

The Echo Awakens: The knight's whisper fills his mind: "The forgotten gambit... the king in the corner..." The echo, starved for narrative, latches onto him.

The Curator Arrives: A Lacuna, appearing as a human-shaped void in the air, a silhouette of absolute quiet, gestures for him to leave. But it's too late. The echo has stirred. From other shelves, other half-ideas begin to drift toward the noise of Leo's mind—a wisp of romance, a shard of betrayal.

The Ghost Forms: These fragments coalesce around the chess knight, forming a shimmering, unstable figure with too many eyes and a voice made of cliffhangers. It points a finger that is both a quill and a blade at Leo. It wants him to finish its story.

The Choice: The Lacuna moves to erase both the Ghost and Leo to restore silence. Leo's only way out? To do the one thing he can't do in his own life. To improvise. He must give the Plot Ghost an ending on the spot—not with a pen, but with action and choice—to satisfy its hunger and dissolve it before the Lacuna consumes them all.
