The micro-missiles were too fast. In the blink of an eye, the sharp metal warheads were right in front of his face.
Harvey hastily chanted "Protego" in his mind.
A transparent magical shield materialized.
BOOM—
The fierce explosion and flames engulfed him.
A few seconds later, the smoke and dust cleared.
Harvey, completely unscathed, looked highly annoyed at Tony Stark, who had landed right in front of him.
"Another guy delivering himself to my doorstep for a beating!"
With a clack, Tony Stark flipped open his metal faceplate, glaring at Harvey with eyes full of resentment.
"You killed so many people, and you can still smile..."
Harvey interrupted directly, "So this is how the world-famous Iron Man operates? Completely unreasonable?"
"If S.H.I.E.L.D. hadn't attacked me with rocket launchers first, would I have been forced to fight back?"
"Am I supposed to just stand here and let S.H.I.E.L.D. bombard me with missiles?"
"That makes no sense, does it?"
Tony Stark was rendered speechless for a moment. He hadn't expected S.H.I.E.L.D. to act so ruthlessly either, leading with a rocket launcher barrage right off the bat.
"I admit, S.H.I.E.L.D. should have tried communicating first instead of forcefully rescuing the hostage. Their methods were indeed a bit excessive."
"But you kidnapping Steve and stealing Loki's scepter... your actions aren't much better..."
Harvey cut him off, "Alright, enough nonsense. We're going to end up fighting anyway. Are you ready?"
The moment he finished speaking, Harvey took the initiative to attack, firing a red Disarming Charm from the tip of his wand.
Tony Stark had already learned from S.H.I.E.L.D. that the sorcerer in front of him possessed a wide variety of mysterious methods.
Facing the red light shooting toward him, he didn't dare to be arrogant and take it head-on.
The repulsors in his palms blasted a powerful stream of air, propelling him two meters to the right as the red light grazed past him.
Seeing his probing attack fail, Harvey began to get serious.
He turned into a magical turret, firing a continuous barrage of colorful spells from the tip of his wand.
"Immobulus!"
"Impedimenta!"
"Petrificus Totalus!"
"Confringo!"
"Confundo!"
Harvey first used the Freezing Charm to slow him down, then moved the rubble on the ground next to his enemy to restrict his movement space.
Next came a Full Body-Bind Curse to completely control the enemy.
Finally, three consecutive Blasting Curses engulfed Tony in explosive flames.
Coupled with the Confundus Charm to disorient the enemy.
Tony Stark was battered senseless by this combo, swaying unsteadily in the sky.
For a moment, he could barely even tell up from down.
If it weren't for the tough gold-titanium alloy exterior of his armor, he probably wouldn't have lived to see tomorrow's sunrise.
[Sir, wake up!]
"Jarvis... take over the suit..."
Tony also realized that things couldn't go on like this.
Taking a beating without fighting back meant he would lose sooner or later. Before his consciousness completely faded, he hastily had his AI take over the armor.
[Intelligent combat system online. Combat plan formulated. Locking onto target...]
When Jarvis took over the Mark VII Iron Man suit.
Harvey immediately noticed that the enemy's agility, coordination, attack accuracy, and overall combat power had increased significantly.
Previously, Tony's repulsor blasts had no aim whatsoever, and Harvey didn't even need to dodge.
Now, the enemy's attack precision had clearly leveled up.
"Swoosh!"
With lightning-fast reflexes, Harvey sidestepped a repulsor blast and couldn't help but sigh:
"As expected of the protagonist. Put him in a desperate situation, and he instantly powers up right in front of me. Since that's the case, I have to get serious too."
Waving his wand, Harvey began to cast large-scale offensive spells.
"Thunderstorm!"
"Fiendfyre!"
"Sectumsempra!"
"Reducto!"
Lightning, fire dragons, invisible blades, and explosions continuously erupted across the night sky.
More than half the heavens were illuminated in brilliant neon colors by the various magical attacks.
[Mark VII armor damage level: 87%]
[Combat plan altered. Executing Combat Plan No. 7. Evacuating the battlefield immediately...]
Jarvis controlled the Iron Man armor to accelerate fiercely, breaking away from the battlefield and shooting straight into the sky.
"Rumble..."
When the armor's flight speed broke past Mach 2, it instantly set off a series of sonic booms that echoed through the clouds.
Seeing the Iron Man armor fly further and further away, it was obvious he was running away because he couldn't win.
Harvey had no intention of stopping him.
After all, he didn't want to actually kill the guy either.
As the absolute main protagonist of the Marvel Universe, killing Iron Man could trigger numerous butterfly effects.
If the Time Variance Authority noticed the anomaly in this universe, or if an extremely perilous cosmic incursion event occurred...
Then Harvey would really be screwed.
So, after Iron Man flew away with his tail between his legs.
Harvey, whose anger had mostly subsided, cast the Muggle-Repelling Charm over the surrounding area once again.
When the spell took effect, the few surviving S.H.I.E.L.D. agents around the villa left on their own.
Harvey landed on the ground and returned to the first-floor living room of the villa.
Wanda had been obediently staying in the living room the whole time. Right now, her face was glowing with amazement, looking at Harvey with eyes full of worship.
Having watched Harvey's one-sided massacre of the enemies from start to finish, that unstoppable posture had instilled a deep sense of security in Wanda's heart.
"Harvey, the way you looked just now was truly mesmerizing!"
Wanda's display of a young girl worshiping a strong man made Harvey feel very pleased.
"I'll show you an even more fierce and powerful side of me in bed tonight, but right now we have to move." Harvey teased before continuing:
"After all, S.H.I.E.L.D. has already found this place. If we stay here, it will definitely attract an endless stream of trouble."
"So it's best to move early."
Wanda nodded obediently and asked, "Then where are we going next?"
"To an estate in upstate New York."
Harvey opened a portal, indicating that their new home was on the other side.
Wanda didn't hesitate and walked right in.
"Go to the bedroom and wait for me first. I still have to grab some important valuables." After giving his instructions, Harvey closed the portal.
Moving was no simple task.
That pile of important alchemical tools, potion ingredients, plant samples, and other items in the experimental base all required Harvey to move them personally.
There were also many daily necessities in the villa that Harvey was accustomed to using, such as sofas, chairs, beds, and other items that needed to be taken away.
"Tsk, tsk. Figuring it all up, moving is quite a massive project. Better start working early then."
Starting with the most important experimental base first.
Harvey cast the Levitation Charm, taking all the bottles and jars containing potion ingredients with him.
Then came the leather sofa in the living room, the rocking chair, the magical portraits, the antique wall clock...
Everything that caught his eye was taken away.
By the time the entire villa was practically emptied, it was 1:00 AM.
"Just one final step: cleaning up the battlefield."
Harvey first confirmed that the Muggle-Repelling Charm was still active, then waved his wand, casting Fiendfyre to cremate all the corpses near the villa's garden and front gates.
Finally, he cast Reparo to fix all the traces of destruction caused by tonight's fierce battle.
"Finally done. Phew!"
After tossing around for so long, between the intense battle and moving houses, Harvey was exhausted too.
Carrying the unconscious Hermione, Harvey stepped through the portal and arrived at a private estate on the outskirts of Binghamton, upstate New York.
