" I carry you , treat your wounds, admire how cute you are....and you don't even open your eyes?"
Her lips curved, amused rather than annoyed. " Rude.".
Her gaze drifted toward the rabbit she had cleaned earlier. " ....Right. food first," she said ,pushing herself up. " Even if you're asleep, I still have to eat."
She paused, glancing back at him again. " And you too," she added softly." You look like you'll break if I don't feed you soon."
Selina dragged the rabbit closer and sat cross-legged, staring at it thoughtfully.
"Now ... Problem," she muttered."I have meat but no fire."
She tilted her head , frowning slightly. " I can't exactly eat everything raw forever."
She rested her chin in her hand, thinking."fire".she murmured slowly."fire fire fire".
Something flickered. Selina blinked. " ....Hm?". She lifted her hand and froze. A tiny flame danced at the tip of her finger.
For a second, she just stared. " No way, you are joking. " The flame pulsed softly in response.
Her expression shifted instantly, suprise melting into delight
" Wait...wait .. wait" she laughed under her breath. " No way ....I can do that?"
She wiggled her fingers slightly brighter. Selina grinned." Fire magic..." She said , savoring the word. " Now this is more like it ."
Then she paused. "Still no pot ." Her expression flattened instantly . ".... And no seasoning"
She stared at the rabbit "...why does survival always come with extra problems." She sighed, tapping her cheek thoughtfully.
"... Roasting is easy, " she muttered." But you ..." She glanced at the unconscious beast, her gaze softening just a fraction. "...you won't be able to eat like that."
She leaned forward.".. soup would be better." After a moment, she pushed herself up." Alright, look like I am going out again." She said.
Her body shifted smoothly, her legs merging into a long , powerful tail as she returned to her snake form. Instantly, she felt the difference larger , stronger and ,more fluid.
"Mmmm ...I do like this form," she murmured, glancing at her tail. " Elegant and dangerous... And very useful" . A smirk tugged at her lips.
She slide out of the cave , the forest welcoming her with quiet sounds and shifting shadows. "Let's look for something to make a pot shall we."
She turned her attention to the ground, scanning carefully. " ...stone...". She murmured. " Something strong for heat."
Her gaze landed on a dark , dense rock partially buried nearby. "...This one". She tapped it lightly , testing. "Hard ...compact ...not brittle and smooth" she said. "Good"
Her claws extended , sharp and précise." Let's see what I can do." Slowly and carefully, she carved into it, shaping the interior into a hollow. It took time , effort but eventually, she leaned back , examining her work.
"...Not pretty" she admitted. " But it'll do."she filled it with water closely." ....no leaks " she said in satisfaction." Perfect " she the took her time to wash it clean even without soap at least it should be clean.
Back in the cave, she shifted into her human form again, smaller and lighter now. She set everything down and stretched slightly.
" Alright , cooking time."she said .she arrange stones, placed the pot and gathered dry wood. Then with a flick of her fingers flame.
Selina smiled immediately." I'm never getting tired of that ." She said
She cleaned the meat, cut it into pieces, and dropped into the pot. "No spices"she muttered. " So this better taste good naturally."
She stirred slowly, watching as the broth began to form. "Smells ... surprisingly nice," she admitted. Time passed, the cave filling with warmth and a rich aroma.
Selina inhaled deeply. "... okay" she said clearly impressed " I'm better at this than I thought." She glanced toward the small white beast.
" ... Perfect timing for you."scooping a portion, she let it cool before walking over and sitting beside him. " Hey" she said softly." Wake up."
No response.she sighed lightly."...of course." Carefully, she lifted him into her arms, adjusting him so he rested securely.
" You're really high maintenance," she murmured ." Good thing I don't mind." She tilted the soup slightly, letting a small amount touch his lips." Come on," she coaxed" drink".
.At first nothing then ,a faint twitch. Selina's eyes sharpened "... There we go." His nose moved slightly, reacting to the scent. Then slowly, instinctively, he began to drink.
Selina smiled, clearly pleased. " Good" she murmured. "That's it." She fed him slowly, patiently, watching as his breathing steadied." You like it , don't you."she tease softly. " Of course you do I made it."
A few more sips. Then his body shifted. Selina stilled "... wait ".
His eyes fluttered open. And for a moment, everything seemed to pause . Selina leaned closer instinctively, her gaze locking onto his face . Then she froze.
"...oh"
Her eyes widened slightly, genuine suprise flickering through her expression. " ... You have ..." She leaned even closer, studying him carefully " two different eye colors?"
One eye was a clear , icy blue sharp, almost cold. The other was a deep gold , glowing faintly in the dim cave light.
Selina's lips slowly curved upward, her expression turned delighted. "That's unfair" she whispered. " You're cute and interesting?"
The smalled animal blinked weakly, clearly still disoriented.
Selina chuckled softly. Clearly entertained ." Hey can you understand me?" She said tilting her head . No answer just a faint , confused look.
She smiled wider , her tone turning playful again." ... You dottalk, you don't wake up easily, and no you just stare?"
She tapped his nose lightly you're really testing my patience." But her touch was gentle. She lifted another portion of soup."Drink,"she said softly." You need it."
This time he responded more easily drinking without resistance. Selina watched him closely , her gaze lingering on those mismatched eyes ." Blue and gold" she murmured. "Cold and warm.." . Her smile deepened slightly.
