From there, I headed straight to Countess Agatha Gasfelle’s room.

There were quite a lot of maids in Agatha's room. They were maids Agatha had brought with her from the county, and even the head maid, whom I had seen a few times since I arrived at the duchy, were all here. And as far as I knew, the head maid had been personally selected and sent by house Gasfelle.

She was a middle-aged noblewoman from a lesser noble family and was about twenty years older than me. It was my assumption that she acted as Agatha’s eyes and ears, keeping her informed of what was happening at the duchy while the countess was away.

I was willing to bet the handkerchief I had been making for Abel that she was one of the many nameless NPCs who played a part in making his childhood as miserable as possible.
