Chapter 21 - Diamond tier membership card

Eden Grace

Eden stared at her phone, her fingers trembling slightly as the screen loaded one billion dollars!

She lifted her gaze and looked at Cassian, disbelief written all over her face.

A smirk curved Cassian's lips. "What? You said you wanted to work, right? I delivered what I promised, so do not ruin this arrangement. If you create a mess or break the contract, you will pay triple the money."

Eden's eyes narrowed, "You really think I would risk everything after coming this far?"

A faint amusement lit Cassian's face. "Then…surprise me, Eden. Do what you wish to do."

Eden had never imagined holding this kind of power, this kind of freedom, in her hands.

This was not just money. This was power. The kind that could rewrite her fate and crush those who had once broken her.

A faint, dangerous smile touched her lips. "Watch me." she said quietly. Not as a request, as a promise.

Cassian let out a low, silent chuckle, his silver eyes gleaming with dark amusement as he watched Eden walk away.

"God," he murmured, voice thick with restrained excitement. "I have never been this excited. I can already smell the chaos coming."

Inside him, Rael stirred, its voice sharp with thrill and hunger.

'You are right. This is exciting!'

Now that Eden had a lot of money in her hand she had many plans in her mind.

But first and foremost she was going to buy what she wanted to buy the most.

Lots of rare compounds and herbs she had always dreamed of buying!

The materials she wanted were so rare and potent that only elite laboratories and senior physicians had access to them. And the things she had once studied only in textbooks now she could finally afford it with the money Cassian gave!

"Okay, let's go…!" Eden exclaimed in determination and in the late afternoon Eden finally arrived at the most famous apothecary of Valemont City!

A place whispered about in every pack and territory, a place where only alphas, nobles, and elite healers were allowed to step inside.

Everything about the place spoke of control and exclusivity. Eden's eyes widened as she stepped inside, her breath catching. "Owah…I always wanted to come here…!"

This apothecary of Valemont was not a regular store. This was the core supply hub for rare herbs, toxin antidotes, and wolf-enhancing compounds used by pack healers, high ranking warriors, and research alphas. Influence was traded here as much as medicine.

Power decided who entered.

And today, Eden had it.

Eden could not hide the spark in her eyes as she approached the counter.

"Excuse me. I need Ginseng Reishi Extract, the highest grade you have. And Aconitum Purum, in the highest grade. Also, some Szechuan Pepper Compound, and…oh, the rare Cordyceps Sinensis, if it's in stock."

The young staffer nodded respectfully. "Of course, ma'am. May I see your access card?"

Eden froze for half a second. Access Card?

Then she remembered. The black and silver card engraved with the Alpha Crest, Cassian had given.

"Oh. Yes." She quickly took it out and handed it over.

The moment the staffer saw it, her face drained of color.

"Oh my, isn't this…diamond tier membership! Only supreme alphas and their chosen companions possess this…!" She looked at Eden again with a new, careful respect.

"Please wait ma'am! I will personally arrange everything for you!!"

She turned in a hurry and collided with someone.

"What the…whatch where you going!" A male's voice cut through the space with sharp arrogance.

Eden looked up and stiffened.

Dave Kallis. A high ranking beta herbalist, loyal to Freya's pack faction, known for arrogance and cruelty.

His aura was aggressive, dominant, and deliberately oppressive.

"Oh sorry, sir!" the staffer bowed hurriedly but Dave had already snatched the order slip.

"Ginseng, Cordyceps…?" He scoffed. "Who dares order these?"

Dave's gaze lifted from the paper and landed on Eden and for a brief moment, surprise flickered across his face.

"Eden Grace..!? What are you doing in a place like this?" Dave had not expected to see her here, as if she had come where she wasn't supposed to be.

Eden however didn't cower instead she looked straight in his eyes. "Why else, I'm here to buy these of course."

Dave let out a mocking laugh. "Buy? You..out of all people…? Do you even know how much this costs? Even if you combine every salary you have ever saved, it would not be enough to afford even a fraction of this order."

Eden had expected this because he was a senior who had always been insulting her and comparing her to Freya, so his contempt no longer surprised her.

"I have all the money to buy it, Dave. If that's what you are asking for…so just get the order." Eden said blandly.

Dave's eyes darkened. " You expect me to believe that? From a disgraced healer expelled from her pack? Tell me. Did you kill Ria Mehta, or did fate do it for you?"

Dave's words struck like a blade. The memories she had tried to bury surged in like a dark wave.

"I did not kill her," Eden's voice was tight with restrained anger. "Don't spread baseless rumour, you have no right to speak like that without any proof."

"Proof?" Dave said arrogantly. "Public opinion is proof enough that you did something. Just admit it."

Eden clenched her fists. "If you are done, give me my order."

Dave's smile sharpened into something cruel. "This place serves wolves who matter. Not fallen strays like you. Our reputation would rot if we sold to you. Leave. No. Order. For. You."

Eden stared at him, "Why? I have the card and the money."

The staffer hesitated. "Sir… she has Diamond Tier access…"

Dave froze. "What?"

His gaze snapped to the card.

"Diamond Tier?" he laughed darkly.

He looked at Eden with an amused face, "Did you steal this from someone?" His gaze turned cutting. "Or did you sleep your way into an alpha's bed to get it?"

Gasps filled the air.

Eden's eyes hardened at his insult, "Mr. Dave watch what you are speaking."

Dave laughed arrogantly, "What? Isn't that it? Well…even with the card, do you really think you can access anything here? This isn't a playground. You have no knowledge, no credibility. We don't hand rare herbs to random people, least of all to someone like you."

Eden's baffled at his audacity. "I know exactly what I am buying. In fact I know almost everything here."

"Oh really..?" Dave picked up a small vial of herb, his eyes glinting with mockery. "Tell me then what is this, and what is it used for?"

Eden met his gaze steadily. "Bacopa Monnieri, commonly used for colds and headaches. Also a calming herb for stress. But it also has far more potent applications many don't know…"

Her voice gained quiet authority as she added, "It can also be used for treating seizures, toxin-induced spasms, and nerve pain. Its benefits go far beyond common knowledge."

Dave laughed loudly, "Seizures? Toxin-induced spasms? Ridiculous. You really think this basic herb can do all that..?"

Dave's eyes narrowed further glinting with mockery. "Miss Eden, you were always like this, always exaggerating, always trying to show off, even though you're nothing."

The bystanders leaned in, whispering and snickering, their amused glances bouncing between Eden and Dave, clearly enjoying her humiliation.

Eden's lips pressed into a line, her composure unshaken. "I know it sounds unlikely to most but I can prove it, if you dare to test me."

Dave scoffed. "Prove it? You are nothing but a failure. Miss Eden, how much more boastful can you get?"

"You…."

"What's going on here..?" An older man's voice cut through the crowd.

Instantly. A powerful presence flooded the hall. Every werewolves stiffened.

An older man approached, tall and commanding, silver hair tied back, golden eyes sharp with authority.

Dr. Martinez. He was the Supreme Alpha Scientist. Founder of the pharmaceutical empire!

"Dr. Martinez!!! Why are you here!?" Dave hurriedly moved towards him, getting tensed all of a sudden.

Dr Martinez's reputation preceded him, being renowned across continents as the ultimate authority in herbal medicine and pharmaceutical innovation, a man whose approval could make or break even the most celebrated doctors.

And he was looking straight at Eden now..!
