At night, a cold wind blew on the rooftop. September had changed into her September Days outfit, preparing to make a move on her next target, the 'tear of the goddess'.
"What are you doing in the middle of the night?" Asagami Fujino's airy voice came from behind. September instinctively kicked backward.
Of course, Asagami Fujino caught it with one hand without a doubt, giving it a stroke in the process.
"What are you doing!" September hurriedly pulled her leg back in embarrassment, took a step back, and glared at Asagami Fujino.
"I saw you going out to work in this freezing weather, so of course I came to show some concern~" Asagami Fujino maintained that same airy tone.
September grew even angrier, wishing she could give Asagami Fujino a hard punch. But she knew it was useless; she had tried before. Sneak attacks didn't work, and she would only end up being caught and toyed with by Asagami Fujino. Thinking of this made September even more furious.
"I don't need your concern," September said coldly. She turned to leave but found her body unable to move. September immediately guessed it was Asagami Fujino's doing, so she took a deep breath and shouted, "What exactly do you want?!"
"I'm not doing anything. I'm just giving you a layer of insurance." Asagami Fujino walked up to September and reached out a hand.
"What are you doing?!" Seeing Asagami Fujino reach out, September thought she was going to take advantage of her again. She wanted to do something, but her body wouldn't move. She could only watch as Asagami Fujino's hand got closer and closer, and September couldn't help but close her eyes.
"What's with that look like you're facing death?" Asagami Fujino looked at September speechlessly. She pressed her hand directly onto her shoulder, and a surge of energy flowed into September's body.
"Eh?" September opened her eyes, realizing she had misunderstood Asagami Fujino. Her face couldn't help but turn red, but she soon felt some miraculous changes happening inside her body.
"This is...?" September looked at Asagami Fujino in surprise and uncertainty.
"The Seventh Sense. I've helped you activate your Seventh Sense," Asagami Fujino said, withdrawing her hand from September's shoulder.
"Really?" September had now regained control over her body. She could feel a powerful force within her.
The Seventh Sense is an ability possessed by the Gusilan Kingdom and its descendants. Its power surpasses the Sixth Sense. While activating the Sixth Sense multiplies one's physical attributes, the Seventh Sense is a qualitative change, like the difference between a human and an ant—though this gap depends on the awakened ability.
The Seventh Sense is not exclusive to Gusilan descendants. Ordinary people can also develop it, but there are side effects. If an ordinary person develops the Seventh Sense after the Sixth Sense, the side effects don't appear immediately; instead, as they age, their body gradually shrinks until it disappears.
To reach the peak, full-release state of the Seventh Sense, the user's body can temporarily return to an adult stage at a critical moment. If they intend to use it one last time, it becomes life-threatening, and they will completely vanish from this world.
Of course, these side effects are not impossible to offset. Besides being a descendant of Gusilan, there is another way.
The reason September hadn't awakened her Seventh Sense for years was that she couldn't find an elemental stone that was compatible with her. elemental stones are items that can perfectly trigger the Seventh Sense. There are many elemental stones, but the most powerful are those with the power of the eight elements. October's Fire Control Technique was awakened by relying on the fire elemental stone.
The power of the eight elemental stones can only be fused by a compatible being. September's ability is Light among the eight elements, which cannot be awakened on its own and can only be awakened using an elemental stone.
"I have to remind you of one thing." Asagami Fujino looked at September. "I've only temporarily activated your Seventh Sense. Without an elemental stone, you cannot perfectly activate your Seventh Sense yourself. You should know this."
"Temporarily? For how long?" September asked. She certainly knew that her Seventh Sense required an elemental stone to activate, but she still hadn't found the one that belonged to her after all this time.
"You can use it for about ten minutes. That's enough for your ability."
September's ability, the Light Control Technique, is an absolutely broken ability in the stolen star world, similar to the Flash from the DC Universe. September can reach speeds exceeding light and then perform time travel. In the original timeline, September used light-speed travel to go back 9,000 years, inherited the power of a True God, and then returned as a True God to save the world.
"By the way, why are you helping me activate my Seventh Sense?" September asked in confusion.
"Because today, your siblings are guarding your target, waiting for you to show up. And I have some things to deal with today. If you get caught, I won't have time to save you," Asagami Fujino said leisurely.
"I won't get caught." Annoyed by Asagami Fujino's words, September turned her head away.
"Um... thanks."
It was as faint as a mosquito's buzz, but Asagami Fujino definitely heard it, and the curve of her smile widened.
