In a spacious room, a figure streaked through the air and slammed into the wall.
"Want to go again?" Asagami Fujino wore a delighted smile as she watched Ryusei get sent flying. Given her strength, she had no opponents left in most of the world, making it impossible for her to have a good workout. But now, Asagami Fujino had discovered that those blessed by the world—the so-called children of destiny—were incredibly durable. With the world's blessing, as long as they didn't exceed a certain limit, they were practically unkillable, possessing extreme regenerative abilities when their lives were in danger.
Ryusei was currently in that state. Although Asagami Fujino had placed dozens of healing magic circles in Ryusei's body to keep him recovering, otherwise, after taking so many hits from her, even with the Divine Protection of the world, his bones would have long since shattered into powder, leaving him dead beyond repair.
"Again!" Ryusei struggled to crawl up from the floor. His body was now a full size larger than before, all from being beaten by Asagami Fujino; his entire body was swollen.
However, Ryusei could no longer feel much pain. From the initial intense agony to the recovery from the magic circles inside his body, the two conflicting sensations had numbed a portion of his pain nerves.
Through constant beatings, Ryusei had also realized the benefits; his body's resistance to damage had increased, and something was about to erupt from within him.
"It seems the Sixth Sense is coming soon."
Asagami Fujino's smile grew wider. There were many ways to activate the Sixth Sense, the most common being self-training to push past physical limits. However, the fastest method was to place oneself in danger or experience an emotional surge. In the original history, Ryusei had activated his Sixth Sense after being stimulated by the belief that September Days had killed the people at VV Academy, forcing September Days to retreat.
Being beaten was also a method—keeping the body under constant intense stimulation to maintain a heightened mental state, thereby triggering the existence of the Sixth Sense. There were other, faster ways to let Ryusei activate his Sixth Sense, but Asagami Fujino chose this method because she wanted a punching bag to have a good workout.
"Here I come."
As the words fell, Asagami Fujino vanished. Ryusei, who had just stood up, was sent flying again, slamming hard into the ceiling. Then, with another punch, Ryusei flew back to the floor, then the ceiling, then the floor, cycling like that.
"Ah!"
Ryusei, slammed onto the floor once more, suddenly shouted and punched forcefully to his right, colliding with a fist. Unlike the evenly matched scene he had imagined, Ryusei's hand instantly twisted into an irregular shape, and his whole body flew away again, this time smashing through the wall and flying outside.
"Finally activated." Asagami Fujino looked at the large hole Ryusei had smashed into the wall and nodded with satisfaction: "Now then, this guy Ryusei is going to owe a lot of money again."
The people downstairs watching TV heard the noise, but didn't react much. They had all seen the scenes of Asagami Fujino training Ryusei and were used to it now. From initial sympathy, they had become spectators, eventually getting bored and leaving, finding the TV more interesting.
"By the way, is Sakuya cooking tonight?" September Days, holding Cthulhu, had eyes sparkling. Ever since she tasted Sakuya's food yesterday, she had been thinking about it. Even though the breakfast Ryusei made this morning was quite good, better than some restaurants, it made September Days feel that handing Ryusei over to Sakuya for training was an absolutely correct decision. The change in just one night was simply miraculous, but in September Days's opinion, it still couldn't compare to Sakuya's cooking.
"I'll do it tonight." Asagami Fujino suddenly appeared on the stairs.
"Are you finished, Fujino?" Alice asked with a smile.
Asagami Fujino nodded, then looked at September Days: "Ryusei is probably going to owe you some money again."
"Huh? What do you mean?" September Days asked, confused.
"Ryusei smashed the wall, so it'll probably cost a lot of money to repair." Asagami Fujino said, walking over to the sofa and sitting next to Sakuya.
"Whatever. I don't think he'll ever be able to pay back that hundred million." September Days said nonchalantly.
Asagami Fujino thought about it and it seemed to be true. In the original history, Ryusei never paid off the debt of one hundred million in the end, remaining a pauper, and eventually turning from a Demon King into a Tiger Man; he really lived a regressive life.
"Then that's that." Asagami Fujino reached out a hand to Sakuya and said: "Sakuya, come help me."
"Mm." Sakuya smiled, took Asagami Fujino's outstretched hand, and entered the kitchen with her.
"Alice, tell me, can that guy really cook?" After Asagami Fujino left, September Days couldn't help but ask Alice on the side. In just one night, September Days and Alice had gotten along very well. Despite having met for less than a day, they were like lifelong friends. September Days had initially found it unbelievable, but eventually attributed the situation to her and Alice being fated and hitting it off immediately.
"This..." Alice tapped her finger on her chin, thought for a moment, and said: "I haven't seen Fujino cook before."
"Eh?!" Hearing Alice's answer, September Days couldn't help but feel worried. She worried that Asagami Fujino might make a murderous meal, right?
April, on the side, also looked over, also worried about Asagami Fujino's cooking skills. These worries were not unfounded; after all, in their impression, Asagami Fujino was someone with boundless strength. Someone like that shouldn't have practiced cooking, right?
"Don't worry." Alice smiled and said to September Days: "Fujino will be fine. I remember that Sakuya's cooking skills were taught by Fujino."
"Does that mean it'll be even better than Sakuya's?!" Thinking of this, September Days felt her stomach growling.
"I suppose so?" Alice was also a bit uncertain. In the year she spent alone with Asagami Fujino, she had never seen Asagami Fujino cook; as for food, it was always prepared by Sakuya and then delivered.
"Don't worry." Asagami Fujino walked out wearing an apron: "The things I make are absolutely fine. You'll see when the time comes."
Cooking was a first for Asagami Fujino; she had no experience in the kitchen before, at most just simple barbecues. But don't forget, she was a cheater!
