Over a month had passed since Emilia ascended the throne. During this time, Emilia handled Lugnica's affairs in the mornings, while her nights were spent entangled with Fujino in the palace. Sometimes, it wasn't just the two of them; even Echidna, Teresa, Satella, and Rem were occasionally pulled into Fujino's escapades.
For a month, Fujino lived quite lavishly, thoroughly enjoying herself.
On this day, Emilia had shed her queenly attire, returning to her usual clothes. Gone was the lofty, imposing aura of a monarch, replaced instead by a gentle, graceful tenderness.
"Is Fujino leaving today?" Emilia asked softly, nestled in Fujino's arms.
"Mm," Fujino nodded. "There's nothing particularly fun left to do here. It's time to go, and there's also a matter I need to attend to."
The matter Fujino spoke of was naturally the call from the Katanagatari world. Over the past month, this summons had grown increasingly frequent. It seemed that before long, Nanami would fall by her brother's hand.
"When do you plan to leave today?" Emilia asked gently. Emilia's entire heart now belonged to Fujino. She held no particular attachment to this world, and the Kingdom of Lugnica was, to her, merely a toy she had grown tired of. For her now, being by Fujino's side was the greatest happiness.
"We'll set off once Rem and the others have packed. However, I might not be able to stay by your side for a while," Fujino said apologetically, gently stroking Emilia's silver hair.
"It's alright," Emilia smiled tenderly, wrapping her arms around Fujino's soft form. "I'll wait for Fujino to return."
Fujino looked at Emilia, saying nothing more. Instead, she simply kissed her. At times like this, words were superfluous; actions better conveyed one's heart.
Though sometimes, Fujino truly Felt she had fallen into decadence.
In the Interdimensional Gap, countless dimensional worlds floated in an orderly fashion within the vast starry expanse. Fujino drifted in the endless cosmos, facing a small sphere emanating a dark aura.
This small sphere before her was the Re:Zero World. The dark aura signified that this world was on the brink of destruction.
The world will, also known as the world's origin, is the fundamental force that constructs and sustains a world. As Fujino took this origin away from the Re:Zero World, the world, now lacking its foundational support, began its march toward ruin.
The Re:Zero World was now plagued by all manner of natural and man-made disasters. The land was ravaged, and casualties among its inhabitants mounted with every passing moment.
Even if Fujino did nothing, it wouldn't be long before the Re:Zero World collapsed on its own.
However, Fujino decided to act. For her, the Re:Zero World still held other uses.
Within the Interdimensional Gap, each dimensional world could be seen as a star. In the Marvel world, Thor's Mjölnir was forged from the core of a dying star, possessing immense power. What Fujino intended to do was to forge a weapon from the remnants of the Re:Zero World. Although she had extracted the world's origin, leaving the world itself with little remaining power, a weapon forged from a world—in terms of sheer quality—would be on a cosmic level.
Fujino reached out and made a grasping motion toward the Re:Zero World in the distance. Immediately, all life on the Re:Zero World was destroyed. As Fujino kneaded it, the remains of the world transformed into a small, pitch-black sphere. This was the compressed appearance of the entire Re:Zero World, or one could say, the purification of a world.
A wisp of white flame emerged from the palm of Fujino's other hand. This was the manifestation of the concept of fire that Fujino had grasped. In terms of temperature, it was higher than that of the sun's core. This was not the limit of the white flame; as long as Fujino wished, the temperature of the flame could be limitless, though the current temperature was sufficient.
The black sphere floated into Fujino's hand. Under her control, the white flame covered the black sphere. The terrifyingly high temperature caused the black sphere to instantly turn into a black liquid.
The white flame dissipated. Fujino used her powerful mental energy to control the black liquid before her. Under her mental control, the black liquid rapidly changed, finally forming a longbow.
The bow body was pitch black, with no other colors—only pure black.
Fujino looked at the black bow. After a moment of thought, she waved her finger, and the black bow changed, its color shifting to resemble wood.
"That's better." Fujino nodded in satisfaction, then took the source power of the Re:Zero World from the System Space. She extracted a strand of source power, and under her control, the white thread of source power merged with the longbow to become its bowstring.
"Mission accomplished." Fujino picked up the completed longbow and played with it for a while. She then used her finger to write countless golden runes in the void. The countless golden runes floated in the void before beginning to move one by one. The golden runes arranged themselves in sequence and then merged into the longbow in Fujino's hand. Once the golden runes merged into the longbow, they completely dissipated, buried within the interior of the bow.
"I'll leave this to Eirin." As she spoke, Fujino looked at a world not far away—that was the world of Gensokyo. Fujino gave the longbow in her hand a gentle toss. The longbow broke through the barrier of the Gensokyo world and entered it. After doing this, Fujino again threw the source power of the Re:Zero World into the Gensokyo world, letting Gensokyo begin to devour the source power of the Re:Zero World.
"Alright, it's finally over. Time to keep my appointment."
Fujino looked at the world of Gensokyo. At this moment, only about forty years had passed since she left Gensokyo. The time flow difference between the Gensokyo world and the Re:Zero World was not significant. Fujino estimated that after she finished dealing with the Katanagatari world, she could still go to other worlds to wander around and have fun.
The current Gensokyo world was still a bit too boring. Rather than waiting for the plot to develop in Gensokyo, it was better to go play in other worlds. In this regard, Fujino, Touko, and Aoko were very similar; none of the three liked to stay in one place for long.
Perhaps they would in the future, but definitely not now.
Fujino locked onto the coordinates of the Katanagatari world and began to head toward them. Since she was between dimensions, there was no need for Fujino to open a dimensional channel; she transformed directly into a beam of light and set off toward the Katanagatari world.
