Chapter 6 - Chapter 6 :Biology Tour A Secret Rainy Night

The massive wooden door of the ancient library creaked open, swallowing Aryan and Megha into a world of haunting silence. Outside, the monsoon was at its peak. The wind howled like a wounded beast, rattling the broken window shutters against the walls with a rhythmic 'thud-thud' that made the atmosphere even more mysterious. Inside, it was pitch black, and the only sound Aryan could hear was the frantic, rapid beating of Megha's heart.

Megha's foot was bleeding, her face pale with agony. Without a second thought, Aryan swept her up into his arms and carried her to a dusty, antique wooden bench. He pulled a clean handkerchief from his pocket and began to gently dab away the blood from her wound. Megha winced, her fingers digging deep into Aryan's shoulder for support. Outside, a sudden bolt of lightning tore through the sky. In that brief, electric blue flash, Aryan saw the vast, towering shelves of the library, where thousands of old books stood like silent witnesses to history.

The darkness only amplified Megha's fear. She gripped Aryan's hand, her fingers cold and trembling. Aryan searched the shadows for a light and finally found a half-burnt candle and an old matchbox tucked away in a corner. The matches were damp from the humidity; he struck one after another, but they only hissed and died. Finally, on the fifth try, a tiny flame flickered to life, bringing a spark of hope into the heavy darkness. To protect it from the draft, Aryan carefully placed the candle inside a glass lantern sitting on a nearby table.

In that soft, golden glow, Aryan looked at Megha. Her lips were wet from the rain and shivering uncontrollably. A few stray tears traced a path down her cheeks. It felt as if this magical, dark night was trying to say something—as if nature itself had conspired to bring out the words they had both kept locked away for years.

Aryan's chest tightened with a strange, nervous energy. He realized that if he didn't speak now, in this perfect moment of solitude and rain, he might never find the courage again. He took Megha's cold, damp hand firmly into his own.

Clearing his throat, Aryan began in a low, husky voice, "Megha, I've wanted to tell you something for a very long time. Every time I tried to say it, the words seemed to vanish into thin air. But tonight, there is no wall between us. If I don't say it now, I will live the rest of my life as a coward."

Megha looked at him, her eyes wide and blurry with unshed tears. She stepped down from the bench with difficulty and stood close to him. "What is it, Aryan?" she whispered, her voice trembling. "Why all this buildup?"

Aryan's voice was thick with emotion. He looked deep into her eyes, searching for his entire world in them. Finally, with a heart full of devotion, he spoke: "I love you, Megha! I can't even imagine a future without you. I love you so much!"

The moment the words left his lips, Megha's tears finally broke free. The long years of silent waiting were over. She couldn't hold back anymore; she buried her face in Aryan's broad chest, sobbing with relief. Clinging to him with all her might, she replied in a broken voice, "I love you too, Aryan... so, so much! I've been waiting for so long just to hear you say that."

Outside, the rain intensified, but inside that abandoned library, a new spring was blooming in the hearts of two teenagers. Every drop of rain falling on the roof became a witness to their bond. Just before the biggest exam of their lives, they found a sanctuary—not in a building, but in each other's arms.
