Chapter 8 - C-8

Jason breathed in, letting the high from seeing the numbers go up wash over him as the changes from the level ups suddenly caused his mind to go haywire.

He felt his mind stir, sharpening and expanding but he put the slightly euphoric feeling at the back of his mind—he had other things to do.

' So exp rewards don't multiply even if I obtain an achievement reward for them?—Noted.' He mentally logged that thought, deciding to move on.

He thought whether to view his status immediately or accept the rewards firstband ultimately chose the latter.

He was sure that these rewards were included in his Reward Multiplier and was excited to see what each of the rewards would turn into after being upgraded.

[—Congratulations on being the first person on your server to create a Grade C item.

—Rewards - 1 World Point, Pioneer[Title].][Receive Y/N]

[—Congratulations on being the first person on your server to create a Grade B item.

—Rewards - 3 World Points, B Grade Skill Token.][Receive Y/N]

So stilling his heart he agreed to both notifications with anticipation.

~•X10 Reward Multiplier Effect activated!•~

[— Error Error Error —]

[—Rewards Received - 10 World Points, Pathfinder[Title]-]

[—Rewards Received - 30 World Points, A Grade Skill Token.]

' Now to see what upgrades they both have.'

He slipped the world points, he'd think about the windfall of 40 Points he had when he looked at the World Shop to redeem his token.

For now he wanted to see the changes to title, which would be the changed the most by cheat.

As for the token, he had hoped it would jump to S rank at least but he guessed that was putting too much hope on a 10X multiplier.

So clicking on each of them he obtained their description, causing him to immediately grin when he saw the changes from the newly upgraded title.

[—Pathfinder[Title] ~Grants a +300% boost to all NPC Reputation gains.

~Grants a +300% universal(any) skill learning rate boost.

~Grants a +50% Loot Drop Chance.]

[—A Grade Skill Token ~ Allows the player to pick any A Grade Skill inside the World Shop for free.]

He was extremely happy with what [Pioneer] turned into.

The reputation gain boost was ridiculously better, then the boost to learning skills.

That was incredibly useful as that meant that not only could his skills level up faster, he'd also pick up skills that he manually learnt faster too and level them up.

With his class boost to learning skills associated with genealogical studies then it made for a really substantial boost.

Then finally, the loot drop boost.

He didn't know the set percentile chance for loot to drop so a 50% boost to that was massive help.

Dismissing his new title he then focused on the token.

He breathed in for moment, then finally called out.

" Open World Shop."

[—Ding! Opening World Shop.... transfering players consciousness to the Shop Archive!]

" Wait wh—" Jason blinked, then the next moment he found himself standing in a black void.

And he wasn't alone.

Standing infront of him was a curious sight.

A woman, wearing a gown that seemed to be made out of galaxies, her face as smooth as porcelain with a dusky pigmentation with hair as white as snow.

" Do you want to see the Shop Archive?" She asked him, looking straight into his eyes with a befuddled look with a tilt of her head.

Jason blinked then looked around, then back at the woman and decided to just go with the strangeness of his situation.

" Yes please." He said, nodding at her.

She nodded too, then waved her hand and infront of Jason materialised different system screens.

Each of them had different things listed on them.

Item Shop Panel, Skill Shop Panel, Ability Shop Panel, Domain Shop Panel, Legacy Shop Panel.

" Would you like me to explain what each panel promises Mr Ark?—Or would you rather have it downloaded into your brain instead?" The White haired woman chimed in.

Jason looked up at her and considered, he was about to let her explain it just so he could further listen to her voice as she did.

She had a beautiful and alluring voice, seemingly having been created just to tempt him.

He wouldn't be surprised if that was the goal of the games creators had in the first place, to lure you in and the next thing you know she's giving out a sales pitch for a useless item.

But he didn't know how time worked in this place, or even what was off his game body and he didn't feel like listening in on her for more time than he had.

" Just download the information, thanks." He decided, his eyes returning on the multiple screens infront of him.

" Wise choice." She said, confusing him for a moment before he found a stream of knowledge suddenly working itself inside his mind.

When the stream of information was complete he looked at the panels with a new light, understanding dawning on him.

He first focused on the Item Shop Panel, scrolling through the various items inside in wonder.

Here he could find items that he knew were related to the Marvel Universe, from Infinity Stones that worked on every universe in the Marvel Multiverse to the perfected super soldier serum all the way to T'challa's black panther suit to items that he had never heard of before.

He found it all, some of the items even had blueprints which were cheaper than the items themselves, only items that could be possibly created anyway.

But Jason immediately saw a problem.

All these items were fucking expensive!

The super soldier serum was priced at 50 World Points, atleast it granted 10 serums so it wasn't as if it wasn't useful.

The suits, from Iron Man's to T'challa's though started at 100 World Points and that was for the early models, later models scaled up in prices.

Jason quickly dismissed that screen, not interested in the least.

He skipped the skill shop, saving it for last before he went through the others first.

The Ability Shop was as he expected, hundreds of thousands of abilities from the weakest which still at minimum costed about 10 World Points to world shattering abilities like molecular manipulation which had its price range all the way in the millions.

He highlighted some genuinely useful abilities, promising to come back and buy them later when he was well off.

Then next up was the Domain Shop Panel and he salivated.

Magic, that was what Domains stood for.

Domains of magic.

He salivated as he read through the Domains, Domain Of Fire, Domain Of Ice, Domain Of Elements, Domain Of Space and Domains of Time.

There was every domain of magic one would think of, even esoteric domains such as Domain Of Information which was a domain that he was interested the most in and had highlighted for later.

But each Domain was fucking expensive, and he saw that each domain had stages in it.

Basic all the way to Supreme, depending on which stage you bought then that was how masterful you were in said domain.

Each higher stage costed extremely higher than the last though, he felt like biting his fingers off as he scrolled through the list of domains in pity.

Finally he stilled himself though and viewed the Legacy Shop Panel and his eyes widened to a point he was sure he looked comical to the lady infront of him.
