Prologue – The Silence of the Fall

At the highest and most unreachable point of existence, where time does not dare to run and space is nothing but an idea, there is no desire. There is only totality.

The quintessence of knowing—perception in its most absolute and unnameable form—comprehended every law, every world, and every end. But the apex carries an inescapable void: it observes all things, yet feels the weight of none. It knows every path, yet has never trudged through the dust.

To understand the true nature of a root, it is not enough to look down at the tree from above. One must accept being smothered beneath the cold earth. To comprehend the real tension of a thread, it is not enough to watch the cosmic loom. One must allow oneself to be bound by it. To experience the Dao in its fullness, perfection had to be abandoned.

Thus, the immensity made a choice.

The unnameable entity detached itself from its omnipresence and plunged toward mortality. It erased its own vastness, squeezing an infinite ocean of knowledge into the fragile, narrow, and bloody shell of a human body.

The Heavens did not roar in warning. The Earth did not tremble in reverence. The descent occurred in the most terrifying silence, for the world was simply too shallow to notice the weight it had just swallowed. The firmament continued its arrogant cycle, blind to its own fracture.

Meanwhile, within time and space, beneath the gaze of the powerful, under the mundane roof of a forgotten village at the edges of the world...

An ordinary boy with serene eyes began to carve his bamboo flute.
