Because Julian had admitted that he could hardly sleep because of the noise, Rebecca could not help thinking that she had disturbed the entire household the previous night and that everyone must have heard them.
The thought alone sent another flush across her cheeks, and she wondered how she was supposed to look any of the servants in the face now.
How was she going to walk through the castle knowing that they might all know what had happened between her and Cedric?
She was still lost in her embarrassment when Cedric closed the distance between them and reached up to tuck a loose strand of hair behind her ear.
"That's alright, Rebecca..." His voice trailed off for a moment before a small, teasing smile appeared on his lips. "Now everyone knows you're mine," he murmured.
Rebecca's cheeks grew even warmer, and she was beginning to wonder how many times she could possibly blush in one morning.
