Chapter 8 - The Echoes of Power and the Glimmer of Frost

Lu Kai stood amidst the hum of the training hall, the array of specialized stations a testament to the academy's commitment to developing its students. He had just been informed of his F-Class Platinum awakening and the subsequent scolding he'd received, which Master Jian had so decisively shut down. His thoughts were a chaotic storm, a whirlwind of confusion, humiliation, and the overwhelming novelty of this new existence.

Then, a sudden, jarring realization struck him, so potent it made him physically falter. "Wait a minute..." he muttered, his hand flying to his head, a desperate energy bubbling within him. "I forgot something important... My sister! And who *am* I? Umm... ummm... ummmm..." His mind reeled, trying to grasp the fragmented memories. The crushing weight of his F-Class rating, the shame, the sheer alienness of it all, had momentarily eclipsed his very essence.

He felt a wave of panic. *How could I forget? I am Arceus!* The divine truth resonated within him, a powerful counter-current to the despair. The sheer power and divinity of his true self, even suppressed by the system and the human form, surged forward. *Where has that system gone?* he demanded mentally, his divine will pushing against the mental fog.

A voice, not Niexi's, but the familiar echo of the Authy System, responded directly in his mind. **"Host, your query is noted. Your sister, Lu Er, has awakened Unique Frost Elemental powers. She possesses the innate ability to shape her frost into weapons, capable of manifesting thousands of icy blades in a single turn, freezing enemies to death. However, she has not yet learned specific named skills like 'Sharp Blizzard.' She must learn these through her own efforts; the System will not provide them to others."**

Lu Kai felt a profound sense of relief and pride wash over him, tinged with the divine recognition of his sister's own innate power. Unique Frost Elemental powers! But also a pang of concern, knowing she had to learn to harness it fully.

Suddenly, another system notification chimed, this one distinctly different, with a colder, more ancient tone that resonated with dormant power. **"WARNING: ANOTHER SYSTEM DETECTED. LOST EMPEROR SYSTEM DETECTED."**

Lu Kai's divine consciousness immediately probed. "Lost Emperor System?"

The Authy System responded, its tone shifting slightly, conveying a sense of ancient, detached observation. **"The Lost Emperor System belongs to the Lightning Monarch. It is theorized he has reincarnated here. He once fought against billions of enemies but ultimately lost. Thus, he has reincarnated again to seek power and a different outcome."**

Lu Kai's mind reeled. The echoes of ancient cosmic battles and hidden systems resonated around him. His divine perspective immediately grasped the implications. "This world," he thought, his essence vibrating with the weight of this knowledge, "will change drastically in the future."

"Lu Kai!" Niexi's voice, sharp and clear, cut through his internal turmoil. He turned, his divine senses still humming with recent revelations. He found her beckoning him towards the testing stations, her expression professional but observant. "Your turn. We need to assess your raw power."

The first test was the punching machine. Lu Kai, remembering his F-Class Platinum status and the limitations imposed by the human body and the Authy System's restrictions, decided to hold back, punching with what he considered his lowest sustainable power. He didn't want to reveal too much, not yet. The machine's readout flashed: **500**.

Next, a young man named Xiao Luo stepped up. He was around Lu Kai's age, with sharp eyes that seemed to hold a hidden depth, and a seemingly calm demeanor that masked an ancient power. He easily surpassed Lu Kai's score, his punch registering **700**.

Niexi nodded, unfazed by the difference, her gaze sweeping over both of them. "Good base strength from both of you. Now, let's assess your elemental power."

Xiao Luo stepped forward for his elemental trial. With a casual grace, he unleashed a demonstration of his power: a "Lightning Punch." The air crackled with energy as his fist crackled with raw lightning, a controlled, yet potent display. Niexi observed him intently, noting the quality of the lightning and the speed of his movements, her own senses likely probing for hidden depths.

Then, they moved to the gravity chamber. "For this test," Niexi announced, "Xiao Luo completed Level 5. Lu Kai, you will attempt Level 4."

Lu Kai entered the chamber. The oppressive weight immediately descended, a crushing force that would cripple a normal human. He pushed through it, feeling the strain, but also a strange, subtle resonance with his Platinum element. It felt like a hidden potential waiting to be unlocked. He completed Level 4, though it was a strenuous effort. He knew, however, that even his current limit was nothing compared to the true "Level 1" of the *System's* gravitational force field, a terrifying prospect he'd faced on the mountain – a power that made this academy's training feel like a gentle breeze.

Niexi observed their performances, her expression thoughtful, her own keen senses likely cataloging their strengths and weaknesses. "Your current levels are noted. The real challenge lies ahead."
