Chapter 67 - Killer move—Prairie Fire.

Killer move—Prairie Fire.

In the next instant, a violent aura surged from his body. The primeval essence within his aperture dropped sharply, nearly a sixth of it consumed in one go. Without the reduction from Fire Source Gu, the cost would have been even more terrifying—enough to drain half his reserves in a single use.

Bang!

Lin Yan raised his hand, and a blazing fireball shot forward, detonating right in the center of the three enemies. The explosion roared outward, followed by a sweeping sea of flames that engulfed the entire area.

Cai Duolian and the others were caught completely off guard. Their defensive Gu shattered under the impact, and all three were thrown back, injured by the sudden, overwhelming strike.

Before they could recover, the scattered flames from the first blast ignited again. Dozens of fire clusters within a hundred zhang flared up at once, splitting and detonating in rapid succession—then again, and again.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

It was like a continuous storm of explosions raining down on them. The three were battered from all sides, their bodies torn and bloodied, barely holding on.

And it didn't stop there. The splashed flames surged together, rising into a massive sea of fire. Crimson waves rolled through the cave, one after another, swallowing everything in their path. Sand melted, rock blackened and cracked, and streams of molten lava began to flow as smaller explosions echoed throughout the inferno.

Wei Renhou suffered the worst. His stone body made him an easy target. The gray surface of his form burned red, parts of it turning semi-molten under the heat. He thrashed within the flames, unable to escape, his cries echoing through the cave.

Cai Duolian struggled to hold on in the raging flames. A stream of cold wind descended above his head, cooling and dispersing the fire. He also tried to use strong winds to extinguish the sea of fire, but at most he could suppress it—he couldn't fully eliminate it.

His eyes narrowed, shock rising in his heart. Could this be the Huang Family's killer move, Prairie Fire? He actually mastered a killer move at such a young age?!

At this moment, Lin Yan's figure was hidden within the surging sea of fire. His eyes glowed with crimson-gold light, and through the flames, he clearly saw Shen Hexin transform into a beam of fire, hiding at the edge of the fire domain.

Lin Yan coldly snorted. He activated Treading Fire Gu, and his figure shot forward like a shuttle, moving at nearly twice his usual speed, silently arriving behind Shen Hexin.

Treading Fire Gu perfectly complemented Prairie Fire. The usual weakness of large-scale movement was completely concealed, and his speed doubled within the flames.

Pfft! A tearing sound rang out.

Shen Hexin's body stiffened, his face filled with disbelief.

Lin Yan activated Flame Blade Gu, a crimson blade condensing in his hand like a burning divine sword. In a single motion, it pierced through Shen Hexin's Light Path defense and struck cleanly through his body, killing him instantly. His crimson-gold eyes shone coldly, and the pressure of his thirty-person soul bore down, disrupting the opponent's thoughts and preventing any last-moment destruction of Gu.

Fights between Gu Masters were always dangerous. Gu were fragile, and when pushed into a corner, enemies would often destroy their own Gu in an instant rather than let others take them.

But Lin Yan had already trained for this. In countless dream battles, he had specifically practiced dealing with such situations. Now, in his first true life-and-death fight, he showed no hesitation. Every move flowed smoothly, precise and decisive.

He quickly stored Shen Hexin's corpse in the Earth Kiln Gu, then gathered the three or four damaged Light Path Gu and placed them into his aperture. Only then did his gaze shift forward, toward Wei Renhou—still trapped within the raging sea of fire in his stone form.

At this point, the stone figure had already fallen still. An iron sand spear had pierced straight through its head, ending Wei Renhou's life.

Shan Shayuan moved with practiced precision. Taking advantage of Prairie Fire's suppression, he struck cleanly and decisively, finishing the opponent without giving him a chance to resist.

In just a few breaths, three Rank 3 Family Elders had died one after another.

Cai Duolian hovered in mid-air, his face twisted as he let out a harsh, bitter laugh. "Even if I die, I won't let you take anything from me!"

A sharp current of qi erupted from the Wind Path Gu above him. It shot downward like an arrow, piercing through his skull and tearing through his body. In the next moment, his form shattered, breaking apart into fragments that scattered into the air.

Lin Yan and Shan Shayuan both moved, but it was too late. With no way to stop him, they could only watch as everything vanished, leaving nothing behind.
