Chapter 182 - Blessed Land Problems

After these arrangements, the Flame Sovereign Blessed Land now housed four Desolate Beasts and Desolate Plants, dozens of mortal species and Gu materials, and hundreds of Gu worms that relied on specific environments to survive. It also possessed more than twelve types of immortal material resource points, making the entire blessed land truly prosperous.

In terms of economic development alone, it was already comparable to the blessed land of a Rank 7 Gu Immortal.

The feeding problems of Lin Yan's Immortal Gu had also been mostly resolved. Three Flavour Otherworldly Flame Immortal Gu and Oil Flame Immortal Gu already had stable food sources. Now, with the addition of the Lava Bird, Dry Yang Fire Jujube Tree, and Attract Fire Immortal Bamboo, the feeding requirements of Fire Escape Immortal Gu, Transform Fire Immortal Gu, and his vital Fire Control Immortal Gu had also been secured.

As a result, most of Lin Yan's seven Rank 6 Immortal Gu no longer faced the danger of starving. Only Flame Eye Immortal Gu and Firelike Immortal Gu remained troublesome, and their feeding problems would have to be solved gradually.

However, such rapid progress had come at a price. The Flame Sovereign Blessed Land had skipped the third stage of establishing a complete ecological chain and forcibly entered the fourth stage of raising humans and variant humans, followed by the fifth stage of raising Desolate Beasts and Desolate Plants.

Advancing through these stages before the ecosystem had fully stabilized placed a heavy burden on the blessed land. Resources were continuously consumed to support the growing populations, while many newly introduced species had yet to produce stable returns. This ecological imbalance was one of the main reasons his immortal essence stone income had fallen below expectations.

Lin Yan was well aware of these problems, but there was no quick solution. The ecosystem needed time to stabilize, and further interference would only make the situation worse.

After cleaning up the battlefield, Lin Yan returned to his cave inside the Blazing Yellow Heaven Pit. He sat cross-legged and sent his consciousness into the Flame Sovereign Blessed Land, focusing his attention on the southern Li Fire Plains.

At the intersection of three vast Fire Ember Lakes, each burning with illusory flames, stood a majestic city. Its tall, sturdy walls had been built over by the Gu Masters of the Huang Family.

At this moment, however, the city was gripped by fear. Countless people crowded atop the walls, staring nervously at the wilderness beyond.

Three enormous beast hordes confronted one another outside the city.

The Flame Wolves were the most numerous. Two to three million wolves covered the wilderness, their crimson fur stretching into the distance like a vast sea of flames.

Next came the Black and White Fire Bears. Hundreds of thousands of massive bears gathered together, forming an enormous black-and-white tide. Although far fewer than the Flame Wolves, their numbers still reached three to four hundred thousand.

Finally, there were the Blazing Lions. Each was several meters long, and a single adult possessed strength comparable to a Rank 4 exotic beast. These creatures normally lived alone and rarely gathered in large groups, yet tens of thousands had now assembled into a single horde.

These were the three strongest predator groups in the Li Fire Plains, standing at the top of the food chain.

Rumble!

The three hordes bared their fangs and roared, their cries shaking the heavens. Led by their respective beast kings, they surged forward like raging tides, causing the vast plains to tremble violently beneath their feet.

The Huang Family city shook under the terrifying momentum, its towering walls seeming insignificant before the approaching hordes. Within the Fire Ember Lakes, the Netherfire Dragon Pythons coiled their massive bodies and flicked their tongues, cautiously watching the unprecedented battle unfold.

Three vast tides of crimson, black and white, and blazing gold collided across the plains.

The beasts tore into one another, biting, trampling, and slaughtering without restraint. Blood splattered across the battlefield as corpses rapidly piled up. The fighting continued without pause, and countless beasts fell with every passing moment. Gradually, mountains of corpses stretched into the distance, while rivers of blood flowed through the gaps between them.

After an unknown amount of time, the three great beast hordes finally retreated with mournful cries. The enormous hordes gradually broke apart, scattering across the Li Fire Plains in groups of varying sizes. Even the intense hostility between the three species had weakened considerably.

They remained vigilant toward one another, but no longer attacked on sight. Occasionally, Flame Wolves and Blazing Lions could even be seen traveling in the same direction, keeping only a dozen meters apart.

Hundreds of thousands of corpses remained scattered across the plains. The battlefield had become a sea of blood, while the thick stench of death filled the air.

Yet from this massive slaughter, new life gradually emerged. Under the influence of the dense Flame Path dao marks and the countless corpses covering the battlefield, new Gu worms began to form. Among them were rare Fire Gu and Blood Flame Gu, both belonging to the category of Otherworldly Flame Gu.

Lin Yan's vast will overlooked the entire battlefield, and his heart ached at the sight.

And this had already been the smallest of the three wars.

Over the past three years inside the blessed land, similar conflicts had erupted twice before. Each war had been smaller than the one preceding it, yet nearly three million beasts had still been lost in total.

And it was far from over.

Across the blessed land, herbivore groups such as Red Horned Antelopes, White Yang Elephants, and Red Oxen were also fiercely competing for territory and food. Dozens of conflicts, both large and small, had already broken out between them.

The competition among plants was no less intense. Fire Beard Grass, Scarlet Cloud Flowers, and Fire Jujube Trees silently competed for sunlight, nutrients, and space. Their roots spread beneath the ground, intertwining and encroaching on one another's territory.

As expected, problems began appearing after the third batch of beast groups and vegetation was introduced.

More importantly, many of these problems were impossible to predict beforehand.
