I walk back to the car and immediately see Pico's and Zen's eyes light up with joy the moment they spot me. Pico leans forward in her seat, her soft furry tail thumping excitedly against the leather. Then she scrunches her cute little nose, clearly catching the strong metallic scent of blood clinging to my clothes and skin. Thanks to her heightened theriantrope senses, she smells everything, yet she doesn't say a single word. She simply looks at me with complete trust.
I slide into the driver's seat and let out a heavy sigh. "I went to take care of a few scums. It's handled now."
Pico nods without hesitation. "Anything Master does is fine with me," she says softly. "You are my master. I will follow whatever you decide."
Her sincere, unconditional loyalty makes me chuckle. I don't bother arguing with her. In the wolf clans, once they choose someone as their master, they obey completely — whether that master is good or evil.
