The fear of fire and high-frequency sound is etched into the very DNA of the Klyntar.
Almost the instant flames erupted from Peter's limbs, the symbiotes knew they were in trouble. Depending on the personalities of their hosts, their reactions varied wildly.
Riot decided to bank on a final desperate gamble, believing that without his own symbiote enhancement, Peter's speed and strength would be average enough to kill before the flames could be unleashed.
Meanwhile, Scream, Lasher, and Phage—who were already outmatched—took one look at the fire and immediately channeled their inner "cowardly lizards," turning to bolt into the darkness.
Ignoring the trio of runners, Peter watched Riot lunge forward and curled his lip into a smirk.
"Ho? Instead of running away, you're approaching me?"
Peter chuckled coldly, flicking the tails of his wizard's mantle as he settled into a charging stance.
"Well then... sa, showtime da!"
As Riot closed the distance, Peter delivered a sharp snap-kick to knock the beast back, then leaped high into the night sky, assuming the classic Rider Kick pose.
A crimson magic circle materialized in the air. As Peter's body passed through it, his velocity tripled, leaving Riot no room to dodge.
This was Accelerated Synchro!
Before Riot could even register what was happening, a terrifying, searing heat bored straight through his chest.
Gone? Where did he go?
Riot spun around frantically, searching for his opponent, until a bone-chilling voice whispered from directly behind him:
"You are already dead."
"What?!"
Riot looked down in horror. A gaping, charred hole had been punched through the center of both the symbiote and Cletus Kasady. History was repeating itself.
Almost the second Riot realized his fate, the residual fire magic within the wound detonated. The explosion tore Riot away from Cletus.
The symbiote was scorched into a shriveled, concentrated ball of goo, while Cletus Kasady disintegrated into ash with a final, jagged scream.
Hiss—!
The fleeing trio—Lasher, Scream, and Phage—gasped as the scent of burning biomass reached them. Faster! We have to go faster!
"As for you three..."
Peter turned toward the runners. He raised a palm, and a massive, spinning orb of fire coalesced instantly.
Eat this: Blazing Rasengan!
Peter wound up like a professional pitcher and hurled the orb. The spinning sphere seemed to have a mind of its own, locking onto Phage, who was trailing behind.
BOOM!
The impact triggered a colossal thermal expansion. Like a Rasenshuriken, it blossomed into a vortex of fire covering hundreds of meters.
The heat was so intense that the surrounding alloy wreckage began to glow and melt into liquid iron.
Inside the inferno, the three symbiotes and their hosts fared no better than wax statues under a blowtorch.
Amidst agonizing shrieks, their forms distorted and melted with a sickening "sizzling" sound. The three villains, stripped of their parasitic protection, were charred to cinders instantly.
With their hosts dead, the symbiotes stood no chance. They shriveled into inert lumps, waiting for the end.
With a snap of Peter's fingers, the flames subsided. On the blackened earth lay four nearly lifeless fragments of alien tissue. Peter's fingers brushed them, and the system prompts chimed in rapid succession:
[Detected Dark Blue Rare: Riot Fragment... Sacrificed!]
[Detected Dark Green Rare: Scream Fragment... Sacrificed!]
[Detected Dark Green Rare: Phage Fragment... Sacrificed!]
[Detected Dark Green Rare: Lasher Fragment... Sacrificed!]
Aside from Riot, who earned a Blue rating for being a "Boss" tier villain, the others were relegated to Deep Green. Still, the haul was significant: 4,400 points.

Jackpot, Peter thought.
Suddenly, the phone in his pocket buzzed. He checked the caller ID: Colonel Rhodes.
"Mr. Arbiter! Where are you right now?"
Rhodey's voice was pitched high with panic. In the background, Peter could hear the screams of a terrified crowd and the guttural roars of massive creatures.
Peter knew immediately. General Ross must have tried to play god again after being embarrassed last time, and just like in the movies, he'd managed to kick a hornet's nest.
"Brooklyn is out of control!" Rhodey shouted over the noise. "Aside from the Hulk, two other big monsters just showed up. All three are tearing the place apart! Tony, Ghost-Spider, and the Nightingale can't hold them!"
Three monsters? Who invited the third guy?
While Peter wasn't sure of the specifics, he suspected the "Spider-Totem" or fate was trying to force a "Canon Event" to balance the scales. If he didn't intervene, his father-in-law, George Stacy, likely wouldn't survive the night.
"Give me a few minutes. I'm on my way."
Peter hung up and turned his attention to the System Store.
"System, purchase Ultimate Secret: Stand United (Mercy)!"

A massive stream of information flooded his mind. On the bottom left of his vision, a HUD appeared—a team interface with portraits of Uncle Ben, May, Gwen, Felicia, George, Tony, and Harry.
Next to each was a status dot. Most were green. But next to Felicia (Nightingale), the dot was a flickering orange-yellow.
She was hurt.
Peter didn't hesitate. His gaze locked onto Felicia's portrait.
"Teleport!"
