Chapter 76 — I'll useless you

Socrates' eyes widened the moment he heard the announcement echo across the snowfield...
'Doesn't that mean there are four stages needed to destabilize this formation?'
'How? How did he do it?'
Confusion spread across his face as the icy wind brushed past him... He hadn't even managed to properly analyze anything yet. No matter how much he stared at the barrier, he couldn't find anything unusual about it. The glowing blue surface remained calm and steady beneath the drifting snowflakes.
He had no subtle idea what to do as he sat there, roaming his gaze across every corner of the formation while trying to make sense of it all...
---
"Judas... You seem to be enjoying yourself."
A middle-aged man sat beside the young-looking man whose golden fan rested lazily on his lap while he sipped from a wine cup. Both of them sat beneath a large umbrella stationed atop the snowy ridges as cold wind swept across the arena below.
"Who do we have here? Cleopatra No. 5 in the outer rankings." Judas smiled sheepishly.
"Aren't you afraid your candidate will fail? I don't think he knows anything about formations. And without entering the top fifty, he can't partake in that mission..." Cleopatra reminded calmly.
"I totally forgot..." Judas replied with a smile, causing Cleopatra to roll his eyes.
"I've seen him fight. He's just a teenage brute who only knows how to use his fists. If Lu Yurao had been his partner, the situation would've been entirely different. Lu Yurao would've secured victory for him by destroying the opponent's formation... Now look at him struggling."
Cleopatra analyzed while Judas dropped his wine cup onto the table, picked up the wine jug, and refilled the empty cup before passing it over. Cleopatra accepted it while Judas filled his own cup and raised it toward his lips.
"If he fails to enter the top fifty... then it simply means the mission isn't for him."
Judas said before pouring the entire contents of the cup into his mouth in one gulp.

The pressure released from Binata descended heavily upon Kamira, causing her skin to tingle painfully as she suddenly found it difficult to move...
Cold sweat formed around her fingers.
She immediately unleashed her own energy — the aura of an Early Stage Qi Condensation cultivator — to ward off the crushing pressure pressing against her body.
Only then did the burden lessen slightly...
But that was far from the end.
It was only the beginning...
At that exact moment, Binata stormed forward with explosive intensity, kicking snow violently behind her.
'She's so fast...'
Kamira's eyes widened as she quickly raised the Spider Shield in front of her face, bringing up the counter just before Binata entered striking range.
The instant Binata appeared before her, she slashed out with her dagger alongside a burst of oppressive energy pressure...
BOOM!
The impact landed heavily as shock rippled through Kamira's entire body. Her arms trembled violently beneath the force.
The attack attempted to bash her body directly into the Blue Square Formation behind her, but Kamira gritted her teeth and held her ground firmly against the snow.
'I'm not going down... Not now... Not anytime soon...'
'I can't... I can't allow her push me into the formation...'
'I can't affect the formation...'
'Spidey... Please hang on...'
With sheer defiance, Kamira managed to negate the force pushing her backward before transmitting it forward instead, causing Binata to retreat four steps backward out of fear of getting smashed in the nose again.
'I've to stay far from the barrier. She's already targeted me... She won't go after the barrier but me.'
Kamira immediately dashed toward the opposite side of the battlefield, her boots tearing through the snow.
Binata glanced at her before shifting her gaze toward the completely exposed barrier...
Right now, this was the perfect opportunity to attack the formation directly and destroy it in one strike. Doing so would secure victory for her team instantly.
But Binata moved...
Not toward the barrier.
Toward Kamira.
Exactly as Kamira predicted.
The logic behind it was both simple and complicated...
It had everything to do with the way the human mind worked.
Kamira had landed a direct hit on Binata Ichigo — a proud daughter of the Ichigo Clan. Not only had she hit her... she had broken her nose.
That alone was enough to pull Binata's aggro completely.
She needed to repay Kamira tenfold... if not a hundredfold... otherwise her pride would never let her rest.
And with the assumption that Kurama was already winning, Binata no longer held herself back as she chased after Kamira with murderous intent, determined to repay the blood she had lost.
Suddenly, Binata appeared directly behind Kamira as the difference in their speed became painfully obvious.
Kamira was only an Early Stage cultivator while Binata was already in the Mid Stage.
Although the gap wasn't impossibly large, it still wasn't something easily bridged... unless you were one particular monster.
And who was that monster?
'Spidey... Do something...'
Kamira panicked as she felt a burning sensation at the back of her neck. It felt as though a blade would pierce through her throat at any second.
The toy spider instantly disengaged into several moving parts before reassembling around her right arm in seconds, forming a gauntlet with the spider's mouth positioned at the center of her palm.
'Turn around.'
The spider's voice echoed in her head.
Kamira immediately spun around, kicking snow upward in the process. The drifting snow obstructed Binata's vision slightly and disrupted her momentum.
At that exact moment, Kamira raised her hand.
As the snow slowly drifted downward...
FWIP!
The gauntlet fired out a cocoon of webbing that wrapped around Binata instantly while a single web thread remained attached to Kamira's arm.
Kamira clenched her fist tightly and dragged Binata toward herself using the web before unleashing a brutal uppercut that sent Binata flying upward into the air.
The cocoon unraveled midair—
But Kamira instantly wrapped the web around the gauntlet again and yanked downward violently.
Binata crashed directly onto the Blue Square Formation where Kurama remained inside, causing the barrier to shake vigorously before she rolled across the snowfield with pain shooting through her body.
Kamira's eyes widened in disbelief.
She had actually slammed Binata into their own Blue Square Formation.
Excitement immediately filled her face as she turned toward the short announcer, waiting for his declaration.
"Kurama has successfully destabilized the second part of the Blue Square Formation, leaving only two parts remaining! Meanwhile, Socrates hasn't even destabilized one! Should we say Kurama is likely to win?"
"YAAAY!"
The crowd erupted loudly in celebration.
"What?"
Kamira froze.
She couldn't believe what she had just heard.
"What the fuck just happened? How was he able to destabilize two parts when I..."
Kamira slowly turned only to see Binata standing back up with a smile on her face. Snow slid down her shoulders as she cracked her neck lightly.
"Your boyfriend is useless..."
Binata smiled coldly.
"I'll useless you too before he's free..."
