Chapter 78 — Binata v Kamira II
.
.
Binata, who was ready to strike Kamira — who couldn't even move an inch from where she laid on the snow-covered ground — heard the third announcement when her lips slowly curled into a smile as she quickly walked up to Kurama, only to see that her partner was struggling with blood dripping out from his nose and mouth while his eyes remained tightly shut.
Cold steam escaped his lips heavily...
He's struggling to break the last part of the formation and it's taking a toll on his body.. Binata could feel that his energy was almost exhausted and now she knew what to do..
Before, she was hell bent on making Kamira pay for breaking her nose but now she had already gotten payback in a far more violent way.
So Kamira wasn't her worry anymore but the Blue Square Formation which already had a crack on it.
"Hang on Kurama.. I'll go destroy the formation now.." She said to him before turning around..
Dash!
She moved at high speed, dagger in hand while her focus was solely on the Formation.. Her target was the crack which she wanted to stab through, bursting the formation apart from the outside..
The moment she got within range, she shot out her hand in order to stab through it—
—but suddenly a hand grabbed her leg and violently flung her backward..
She staggered back across the snow but didn't fall as she looked ahead in surprise.
Kamira had gotten back up.
Blood covered her face while strands of purple hair stuck against her cheeks... A pincer sword was attached to her right hand...
That pincer sword had formed from the reassembling of her toy spider with long elongated and razor sharp edges that reflected the pale arena lights...
"I won't let you touch that formation..." Kamira declared while blood slowly trickled from the side of her lips.
Binata scoffed..
"What are you feeling like?" She asked as she moved towards her with immediate effect..
She struck out with her dagger which Kamira blocked instantly as the air around them rippled violently from the impact....
The two ladies stared at each other with defiant gazes as Kamira slowly opened her mouth..
"He chose me to protect him and I shall do that...."
"Unfortunately, he chose wrong..."
Sparks flew from their weapons as they both took a step back across the icy ground.
Clash!!!
They collided again... Weapon against weapon...
As Binata relied purely on energy, Kamira was relying on her will and the toughness of her toy spider..
They withdrew their weapons and this time Binata aimed for a stab which Kamira deflected before rushing in for a slash toward the neck, but Binata was fast as she left her position and appeared behind Kamira with another strike..
Kamira sensed movement behind her and instantly turned, countering the attack with her own weapon..
Binata followed up with a kick which sent Kamira off balance as her body wobbled sideways before Binata rushed in with a straight slash—
—but Spidey had already moved, shooting webs onto the ground that pushed them backward through the snow..
So the slash only managed to cut a line across her shoulder...
Binata closed in again but this time Kamira had already regained her balance, though the force Binata used still caused her to take a step backward..
Binata put in more pressure as it felt like she was pressing her entire weight down on Kamira who suddenly let go of the toy spider before rushing behind Binata..
The spider opened its pincers as it shot a web that wrapped around the dagger and wrist while Kamira got behind Binata and kicked hard at her calf, causing her to drop onto one knee..
Kamira closed in to hit her hard on the head when suddenly a squelshing sound of flesh echoed out...
Kamira gasped as she looked down to see a dagger plunged deep into her stomach..
Warm blood instantly flowed down her abdomen, staining the white snow beneath her feet crimson...
She gasped again in surprise... She wasn't expecting that...
Her body staggered backward weakly while Binata slowly pulled the dagger out and what followed was a splash of blood onto the icy floor..
Binata stood up from the ground and flung the dagger at Spidey which buried itself into the snow instantly before crawling back toward Kamira's location..
"I was waiting for you to close in..." Binata smiled.... "A warrior doesn't move around with just one weapon.."
Pain...
That's the only thing Kamira was feeling as blood continued dropping down her abdomen... Her consciousness was already failing her as this was the first time she'll experience being stabbed...
The cold air biting against her skin... The metallic smell of blood filling her nose... The trembling weakness spreading through her legs...
Binata's words were gradually becoming blurry in her ears as she watched her get closer...
Then...
Bang!!
A loud impact exploded against her jaw.
The force snapped her head backward as her entire body lifted from the ground before launching into the air...
She could hear the tearing sound of the wind around her ears... Feel the crushing pull of gravity as snowflakes rushed past her vision...
Then...
Thud!!
Her body crashed heavily onto the snow before bouncing again and rolling violently across the field, the impact shaking her internal organs as blood was forced out from her mouth..
Binata had given her an uppercut...
Not just any uppercut but a well clean landed hit...
Binata slowly looked up at the Blue Square Formation with Socrates trapped inside...
The glowing blue light reflected faintly across her face as icy wind swept through her black hair...
She immediately began walking toward it with measured steps as she passed Kamira who couldn't even move an inch from where she laid...
She didn't even spare her a glance as she took another step toward the Formation..
But just as she wanted to take another step....
—a hand suddenly wrapped around her leg, causing her to look down in surprise..
There on the freezing ground laid Kamira who had firmly wrapped both hands around her leg despite the blood staining her clothes red...
"You surely want to die..." Killing intent flashed through Binata's eyes as she stared down at Kamira..
"He told me that the reason why he chose me is because I'm beautiful.." Kamira explained weakly in a low voice...
"How does that concern me?" Binata barked violently as she exerted energy into her leg before throwing a brutal kick that launched Kamira into the air, pulling out two of her lower teeth..
Blood spurted out from Kamira's mouth as her disfigured body spun through the freezing air before crashing hard onto the snowy ground..
Binata stared at her....
'She shouldn't be able to move anymore...'
She turned again and took a step forward through the snow before preparing to take another...
Suddenly—
A web wrapped tightly around her leg and violently dragged her backward..
Binata turned sharply only to see Kamira still lying on the ground while clutching her toy spider tightly in her grip...
Her body was trembling badly... Blood continued leaking from the stab wound on her stomach, spreading slowly across the snow beneath her...
Yet she still refused to let go.
"You... no... ge....in pa..sh me..." Kamira uttered through her broken teeth, her voice barely understandable as blood dripped from the corner of her lips..
At that moment, Binata released all her energy wildly...
Boom!
Violent pressure burst outward from her body as snow and frost were blown away from beneath her feet...
The annoyance had completely consumed her and now she wanted nothing more than to kill Kamira...
The web snapped instantly as Binata appeared before Kamira in a blur...
She grabbed the lady violently by her purple hair before flinging her upward into the air..
Kamira's weakened body spun helplessly as drops of blood scattered through the cold atmosphere...
Binata exerted strength into her legs as she launched herself upward instantly...
The air cracked beneath her feet.
She reached Kamira in that same moment and without hesitation plunged the dagger directly toward her forehead..
Squelsh!
The sound of a blade piercing through flesh echoed across the arena...
The whole crowd went silent.
Even the cold wind itself felt absent for that brief second...
Several spectators widened their eyes in disbelief while others slowly stood up from their seats.
