"Engineer." Judas called softly as his gaze remained locked on Spidey who was dancing lightly atop his golden fan..
The mechanism behind Spidey surprised him greatly as he wondered just how Kamira had managed to design such a creature..
"You really are a good designer.." Judas added, causing Kamira's face to redden slightly..
She was lying on the bed with her body fully healed.. Her broken teeth had been restored and the fractured bones within her body carefully reattached..
Judas had personally ensured she received the best treatment available within the infirmary...
And he was doing all of this for one reason alone...
A reason known only to him.
"You flatter me too much, Senior Judas.. I'm just lucky enough to analyze and understand spare parts.." Kamira explained modestly.
"And you turn them into intricate designs." Judas added calmly.
Just as Kamira was about to speak again—
Bang!!
A loud crashing sound interrupted the room.
The duo immediately grew alert and what followed was—
Bang!! Bang!!
The wall of the ward suddenly exploded apart as a fat silhouette slammed heavily across the ground while coughing out blood...
Pieces of broken stone scattered across the floor while dust filled the room.
'What's happening?!' Kamira panicked as Spidey immediately leapt back into her grip..
'He's awake.' Judas smiled faintly as he watched a silhouette appear before him within a second, passing directly through the shattered opening.
The figure didn't even glance at Judas.
His attention was solely locked onto Kamira...
"Kamira.." He called before rushing toward her immediately..
The purple-haired lady didn't hesitate as she ran toward him too before both of them collided into a bone-crushing hug.
The embrace was so tight it felt as though they wanted to merge into each other completely...
"I thought I was going to die.."
"I'm sorry for putting you in such a difficult situation." Socrates apologized softly while tightening his hold on her slightly..
Kamira immediately grabbed his cheeks and stretched them lightly.
"It's okay now.. You saved me.. I didn't die, so it's all good." She laughed brightly like a carefree child as memories of the earlier events flashed through her mind..
"Yeah..." Socrates replied reluctantly before his gaze slowly shifted toward Judas...
And instantly turned cold.
"He's Judas.. The Number Two Ranker of the Outer Rankings and the reason why we're alive... He made sure I received the best treatment and that's why I'm completely healed within just three days.. He also sent his subordinate to protect you.." Kamira explained quickly and that was when Malena slowly walked into the room.
"Hi.. I'm that subordinate." Malena waved lightly.
Even Kamira looked surprised as she turned toward Judas who merely smiled calmly..
"I saved her just as I saved you..." Judas explained.
"So you plan to make her your subordinate too?" Socrates didn't seem to care much about Malena as he pulled Kamira closer by the waist possessively.
"I'm not building a harem here, Junior Brother... And this isn't exactly the attitude you should show someone who protected you for days.. Do you know what that means, Brother? Your enemies are now my enemies.." Judas cried out dramatically while fanning himself with the golden fan...
Socrates looked slightly confused.
"Junior Brother?"
Kamira noticed the confusion immediately.
"I thought you knew already... Judas Bajwa is the former Sky Pavilion Champion of the Northern Gladiator Guild.. He's a disciple of the Northern Gladiator Guild which technically makes him your Senior Brother..." she explained to Socrates whose mouth slowly opened in surprise as he stared toward Judas' white robes...
"Well... You must be wondering what I'm doing here, right? I came here to temper myself... There aren't many interesting battles in the outside world anymore. This place is where one can hone their skills and evolve.." Judas Bajwa explained while gently fanning himself before turning toward Kamira.
"Engineer, you're mistaken though... I've now been promoted to a Disciple of the Heaven Pavilion... A Core Disciple of the Northern Gladiator Guild.." The Son of Bajwa proudly flaunted the white robe which resembled Elder Hestruin's attire but carried a more intricate design.
Socrates slowly removed his hand from Kamira's waist before bowing his head slightly toward Judas.
"Paying respect to Senior."
Judas looked momentarily shocked before quickly hiding it behind his fan.
"Haha.. There's no need for such courtesy, Junior Brother.." He chuckled lightly.
"I still have to thank you for protecting my sister and I.. I'll make sure I repay this favor someday." Socrates added seriously while Kamira immediately shot him a sharp glance...
'Sister?'
"There's no need to worry about that..." Judas replied before stepping forward and placing an arm over both Socrates and Kamira's shoulders.
"Come, let's get you dressed properly... We have a meeting to attend tomorrow morning at the Capital City."
"It's about what?" Socrates asked.
"Is it about the dungeon?" Kamira asked quickly and Judas nodded.
"Yes. The official announcement will be made tomorrow and everyone will finally gain entrance into the dungeon.. You know, Junior Brother... We simply have to stick together....."
Malena watched quietly as Judas continued discussing with Socrates and Kamira until the trio slowly disappeared from sight...
A small pang of jealousy unconsciously clouded her mind.
"Suddenly, I'm the side character..." She mumbled angrily beneath her breath.
At that same moment—
Fatso slowly opened his eyes only to discover that every part of his body hurt terribly...
"Where am I?" He muttered weakly as he looked around before noticing a silhouette standing nearby with crossed arms.
"Lean?" He called weakly toward the silhouette.
Malena immediately turned toward him with a sharp irritated gaze.
Fatso's eyes widened instantly before he quickly shifted his tone.
"Mama..."
"Hmm."
"Hmmph..." .

. Scatter!!
The loud sound echoed throughout the hall as Kurama violently swept everything off the table onto the ground.
"What do you mean the assassination failed?!" He roared furiously.
"It turned out they weren't alone.. They were being protected by the Rank Two Outer Disciple. A mid-stage Foundation Establishment cultivator.." The subordinate replied carefully while kneeling.
Kurama's violent aura slowly calmed down.
"The Son of Bajwa... Why is he interfering in our matters...?"
"Apparently, both of them are disciples of the Northern Gladiator Guild." The subordinate answered.
"What's the current intel on them?"
"It seems they're interested in the dungeon..."
"Call the Ichigo Clan immediately... Let them send reinforcements from the outside world into the Ice-Flame Dungeon."
"Yes Sir..."
The same situation was simultaneously unfolding within the Lu Family as Lu Yarao also sent for reinforcements from the outside world...
The two separate families received the letters before immediately sending another one toward Laurel Academy requesting them to open the Ice-Fire Dungeon whose portal rested within the academy grounds while also demanding additional slots...
Pressure quickly mounted from multiple directions and news of the dungeon spread rapidly toward outsiders.
After much pressure—
Ninety external slots were eventually released while the remaining ten were reserved for the academy's top ten students since only one hundred people from the outside world could enter the dungeon...
Out of those ninety slots, nearly forty percent were occupied jointly by the Ichigo and Lu Families who sent many of their experts both to temper themselves and ensure that the disciples of the Northern Gladiator Guild never returned alive.
Among them were Qi Condensation experts and Foundation Establishment experts alike...
The remaining slots were filled by cultivators from the Hellenic Republic who sought treasures and opportunities within the dungeon while Laurel Academy organized a tournament among the Grade One students for the remaining ten academy slots into the Ice-Fire Dungeon...
