The screen flickered softly in the dark room.
A young boy sat in front of it.
Kay Basal.
His fingers moved rapidly across the keyboard, lines of code reflecting in his eyes.
"…Done."
He leaned back slightly.
A secure connection opened.
A call connected.
"I've hacked the account," Kay said calmly.
"All the black money details are transferred. Check your system."
A deep voice responded from the other side.
"Impressive… as always."
Kay didn't react.
"Send my payment quickly. I need to pay my individual class fees."
There was a pause.
Then—
"Can I ask you something?"
Kay frowned slightly.
"Ask something worth answering."
The man chuckled.
"You're smarter than even the top AI instructors in those classes."
"Then why do you go there?"
Kay's fingers stopped.
For a moment—
Silence.
Then he spoke.
"Some things… you do even when you don't need to."
The man's tone changed.
Curious.
"…What's her name?"
Kay's eyes narrowed.
"How do you know…?"
A soft laugh echoed.
"I can read intentions better than code."
Kay looked away from the screen.
"She's… out of my reach."
"Kushi Sau."
"One of the richest families in the country."
"The Sau family…"
"The ones behind the AI world and controller of system."
A pause.
"So… it's her," the man said quietly.
Kay's voice turned cold again.
"Yeah."
The call disconnected.
The room fell silent.
Present time — unreal world
"…Kay?"
A voice pulled him back.
Kushi stood in front of him.
Looking confused.
"Did you just say something?"
Kay blinked once.
Then shook his head.
"No."
But inside—
I need to control myself…
I almost said it out loud.
She… and I… are completely different worlds.
Kushi crossed her arms.
"Forget that. How did you even end up here?"
Kay exhaled.
"…A small mistake."
Then he looked at her.
"What about you?"
Kushi's expression turned serious.
"There was a virus in our school system."
"Students started collapsing… their consciousness disappearing."
"I tried to fix the code…"
She clenched her fist slightly.
"But before I could… I got pulled in here too."
"When I woke up…"
She looked at the bow in her hand.
"This was already with me."
"And that spider was right in front of me."
Silence.
The jungle felt heavier.
Kushi looked at him again.
"So… what now?"
Kay raised an eyebrow.
"What do you mean?"
She stepped closer.
"We both know each other."
"We're stuck in the same world."
"And our goal is the same."
"To get out."
A small smile appeared.
"So… let's form a team."
Kay looked at her for a second.
Then turned away.
"…Not my style."
"I fight solo."
Kushi frowned.
"And how can you trust a stranger anyway?"
Kay added.
Khushi smirked slightly.
Teasing.
"That's because your brain only works with AI and code."
"Not real life."
Kay's expression didn't change.
"I don't need anyone."
"And I definitely don't need you."
For a moment—
Silence.
Then—
Kushi's face hardened.
"Fine."
"I don't want to team up with you either."
She turned—
And walked straight into the bushes.
Fast.
Annoyed.
Kay didn't stop her.
"…Whatever."
A few seconds passed.
Then—
A scream echoed.
"AAHH—!"
Kay's eyes widened.
"Kushi!"
Without thinking—
He ran toward the bushes.
Fear flashing across his face for the first time.
Something was wrong.
