Kine (answers) : Yea, it was PTM today so..... some paperwork, we'll leave soon. What about you?
Marduk (still looking at his phone) : You see, the students have an upcoming Maths test, and I prepared a formula sheet document for them. I'm not able to find it on my phone and I've to get the question papers ready as well. Kine... Help me find the document na, here is my phone
Kine : Aren't you worried I might see something I shouldn't on your phone?
Marduk : You think I would've something like that on my phone and even if I had, you think I wouldn't trust you on this. Search it now
Meanwhile in the background, Di turned red blushing just by thinking about what was about to happen. He took deep breaths and was about to convince himself that nothing bad had happened, he saw the security camera on the opposite side of the room.

The next few days passed in awkwardness; neither of them was able to stir up a proper 10 liner convo.
A week before midterm exams, the staff room, teachers gathered after a teachers meeting with the principal
Kine (almost shouting) : Has that lady lost her mind? What does she think preparing question papers is easy and wants it on her table tomorrow just informing us today to prepare them?! I'm done, I give up, I'm not doing it
Everyone joins in stating their opinions
Marduk : Why worry, you guys are talented, have faith in yourselves.
Fer : It is but Isn't she being too harsh on us, like why was there a need to monitor us using the security camera and while burdening us with work.
Bimu : Life has it own challenges, just adjust accordingly
Everyone nods in agreement
Di : Yea, isn't it a good opportunity to prove our best wits?

Upon seeing Kine's changed reactions, Fer doubted his intentions and gave Kine a bombastic side eye. Kine couldn't help but smile at his thinking.

For chemistry, Bimu and Aseon will prepare the question paper and discuss over phone
For Maths, Marduk already saw this coming so he had already prepared it beforehand, a clever guy.
For economics, as she is the only one responsible, Fer will do it herself.
For physics, Di and Kine have to figure out something as they haven't decided yet.
Everyone says good bye,while Kine Di and Fer stay back
Fer : What have you guys decided then?
Kine (pretends) : I don't know, I'm just really confused,should we do it at school anyways?
Di (musters up a whole lot of courage) : Let's do it at your place, if you're comfortable
Kine pretends he didn't plan to do this, he actually wanted Di to bring this up

At Kine's condo, both of them being extra extra cautious from being embarrassed in front of their own fantasy crushes

Di (carefully picks up the glass and drinks water) : Thank you, let's begin our work then.

With almost 3 hours of non-stop discussion, debate and questions, finally the work was done, and as a result 3 sets of question papers were made.
Di (exhausted) : Finallyyyyyy!!!!
Kine (thinks for a while then says calmly) : Let's celebrate then, how about an ice cream treat then?
Di nods in agreement, Kine brings out 2 cups of ice cream from the freezer along with two spoons.
Kine (handing over Di's ice cream to him) : Shall we watch the starry sky from the balcony too?
Di and Kine move to the balcony.
Licking ice cream from their cups and spoons, they also shared a hearty convo
Kine : So who all know about you being that, you know?
Di : Being gay? My mom, my stepdad, Riv and most certainly you, that's it.
Kine (smiles) : Really, You know I too liked a boy in my school, like he was really cute, like I didn't know that something like being gay existed then so..... Yeah then in University I liked a senior of mine (he finds Di taking curiosity in his stories and smiling at him)...
Di (curious) : So, how was he?
Kine : I had a girlfriend back then, but I didn't know his sight gave me butterflies (smiles at Di) nerdy, wore glasses always into his books and assignments, shy, introvert. He was two years senior to me, Mechanical branch and I was in Electrical, we would only meet in Fluid dynamics building and in the canteen.
Di : Didn't your girlfriend get jealous over it?
Kine (scoffs) : We used to fight and not talk for weeks because of that.
Di : So why him ever asked yourself?
Kine : You know the day I met him, I was all messed up both physically and mentally, like how would I deal with all those struggles coming up ahead and all, he appeared as a knight in shining armour to me, he helped me complete my registration get to my class and even helped me find my dorm even when his own was too far.
Di : Awww, you're such a baby even after growing up.
Kine : Even though I helped his mom in an emergency back in time, he hugged me for the first time then, but I'm cent percent sure he doesn't remember me.
Di (scoops a spoonful of ice and stuffs his mouth with it) : Oh my poor boy, interesting though, tell me more.
Kine : I got to know him a while back and now we are pretty close. (smiles)

Kine (scoffs, cleans the ice cream with his fingers carefully) : How much more do you want to hear about yourself you dumbo...?
