"Enough!" Momo said angrily. "You can't say something outrageous like that!"
Junsei glanced at her. At the same time, Melissa Shield spoke next.
"Uncle Might's condition is because of you or at least you made it worse by your actions. How can you speak and act as if it has nothing to do with you?"
Junsei's face remained unchanged.
"It doesn't, I don't care what happens to him or any of you" he said evenly. "I am only here to check and protect Momo."
Tenya Iida joined in with anger in his eyes. "Your actions are reckless and completely unacceptable! You killed, nearly caused innocents to die, and now you endangered more people. What if someone had been at the bottom of the tower?"
"I don't care about any of that," Junsei replied.
Iida clenched his fists. "How can you say that?!"
Mina Ashido added, voice trembling, "You're no different from the villains."
Junsei felt hostility and fear from all around him.
Even Momo was looking at him in disapproval.
"Junsei," she said quietly, "you've said and done enough."
A flicker of irritation crossed his eyes.
"In my eyes," he said, "heroes and villains are all the same."
His gaze shifted toward All Might "The symbol you all respect and love is the worst of you."
For the first time, Junsei's expression openly showed disgust.
"He…" He froze.
Just now he attempted to sense the life in his surroundings, something he usually avoids to do around All Might and heroes due to how disgusting and dreadful they feel. But this time, he wanted to see how much worse this man stolen life grew since they met at the start of UA
But he didn't see what he expected. Slowly his face turned to confusion then shock. His head turned slowly toward Izuku Midoriya.
Then back to All Might. Then again to Midoriya. His gaze moved between them repeatedly.
The others watched in silence. Junsei seemed irritated just a moment ago then suddenly he started acting strangely, they had never seen him look like that.
Even Momo stared at him, uncertain what is wrong with him now.
Finally, he spoke. "How…? You almost lost it all. And he now has it."
His eyes narrowed. "Humans can't do that."
His focus locked onto Midoriya.
"How do you have it?" Junsei demanded. "Did he give it to you?"
Midoriya stuttered. "What are you talking about?"
Junsei's mind raced. Months ago, that dreadful amount of life resided within All Might, now it was gone from him. And Midoriya suddenly had it inside him instead. That was not how it should work.
But if life can be moved from one human to another, then accumulation is not necessarily done by a single person. It could multiple people killing and transferring life from one person to another.
Junsei turned back to All Might.
"I couldn't understand how a single person had that much," he said. "Or imagine what you had done to obtain it."
His voice hardened. "But you lost almost all of it, and he now has it."
His gaze moved between them again.
"You two have similar power. Was that how? You can transfer it from one to another."
A pause.
"And you were not the first or maybe you had help, this must be why you had so much to begin with"
David Shield stared at him in disbelief.
"Hold on!" he exclaimed. "Are you talking about the Quirk factor?"
He turned to All Might.
"Toshi… is that why you've been losing it so rapidly in the last year? You gave away your Quirk somehow?"
All Might looked at his friend in shock, then back at Junsei. That was his greatest secret. Known only to a very select few. How did Junsei figure it out?
Junsei continued. "This is why you were weaker than the old recordings. Why do you only continue to grow weaker faster and faster."
He looked at Midoriya. "You gave it all to him."
Midoriya's face turned pale. The others stared at him in stunned silence.
Ochaco Uraraka spoke weakly, "Your Quirk… it's just like All Might's."
Denki Kaminari added, "And all those times All Might pulled you aside to talk alone…"
Junsei's eyes began to glow. His teeth clenched.
"You don't just take," he said through rising anger. "You give it to others. From one person to the next. Sentenced to never escape you."
His pupils expanded until the white was swallowed by blue.
The students stepped back instinctively while Midoriya paled and activated Full Cowling.
Momo moved immediately, placing herself between them.
"Calm down!" she shouted. "Don't attack him!"
"For how long have you been doing this?" Junsei demanded, voice full of fury. "They should have returned to the world long ago!"
Midoriya shook his head desperately."I-I don't know what you're talking about!"
Junsei stepped forward.
The rooftop cracked beneath his foot.
A low growl escaped him.
Momo grabbed his arm, holding him back despite the fear.
"You can't do that! Stop!" she cried. "He doesn't know what you mean. None of us do. Please stop!"
For several seconds, he seemed about to attack.
Then the blue light in Junsei's eyes faded.
Without another word, he turned toward the rooftop entrance and began walking away.
Behind him, All Might called out.
"Young Mori! I don't know what you're talking about, but if you can explain it, we can try to fix it."
Junsei did not look back.
"You take what should return to the world," he said coldly, "and imprison it for your own desires."
His voice carried across the roof.
"You are all the same."
And he continued walking.
Everyone watched Junsei disappear into the stairwell, their expressions were a mix of confusion and judgement.
Melissa Shield frowned. "What is wrong with that guy?"
Mineta muttered, "Nothing about him is normal."
Todoroki remained silent for a moment, then turned toward Midoriya.
"Do you truly have All Might's Quirk?" he asked directly. "Is he growing weak because you took it?"
Midoriya lowered his head.
Kyoka Jiro spoke next. "So that's why you were hurting yourself when you used it. You don't know how to control it because it was something new."
Tenya Iida adjusted his glasses. "Now that I think about it… didn't Bakugo say Midoriya is quirkless at the start of the year? Perhaps he wasn't mistaken after all."
Silence followed. The eyes were full of doubt as they all looked at Midoriya.
All Might observed their faces and understood that there was no way to deny it anymore. Not after Junsei's conclusions and David's words, and especially with the similarities in power and his atitude toward Midoriya.
"I chose Young Midoriya as my successor," All Might said, "after I saw in him the spark of a true hero."
He rose slowly to his feet despite his weakened state. All eyes shifted to him.
"I was gravely injured years ago. I never fully recovered. My time has been limited ever since."
His voice was calm, though quieter than usual.
"I needed someone to carry on after I am no longer capable of being a hero, and that person is Young Midoriya."
He looked at them one by one.
"This is a dangerous secret. If it spreads, it could put many in danger, especially Young Midoriya."
His expression hardened slightly.
"I hope you will not judge him. And I ask that you keep this secret."
Even after they have already begun drawing their own conclusions, to hear All Might admission still shocked them all the same. None of them had expected All Might to have such a secret.
All Might turned to David Shield.
"I hope you can forgive me for hiding the truth," he said. "I could not risk putting you in danger. And if not for Junsei's words… I would have preferred to take this secret with me to the grave."
David nodded solemnly. "I understand."
His gaze narrowed thoughtfully "But how did he figure it out? Even with all of my technology and scans, I couldn't determine what was happening to your body."
He glanced toward the stairwell Junsei had used.
"How did he understand just by looking at you? And why did he react like that?"
All Might turned his head and so did the rest of the students. Their eyes settled on Momo.
Momo stiffened under their attention.
"I-I don't know," she stuttered.
All Might sighed and said "This may be related to Junsei's Quirk. It continues to be a mystery."
He looked at Momo again.
"Young Yaoyorozu, please follow him. Ensure he does not share this secret with anyone."
He paused for a moment "I fear you are the only person on this island he listens to."
Momo hesitated, then nodded.
Without another word, she turned and ran toward the stairwell.
David watched her go before looking back at All Might.
"Toshi, we need to get you to the medical wing. You're not in good condition."
All Might gave a small nod.
Before they could move, a thunderous explosion erupted from the base of the tower. The entire structure trembled beneath their feet.
