The next day, at five in the morning.
At the seaside training ground.
Uzumaki Naruto, Uchiha Sasuke, and Sakura Haruno arrived, rubbing their sleepy eyes.
"So sleepy… Kakashi-sensei, why so early…" Naruto yawned.
"Shut up," Kakashi said coldly. "From now on, no complaining. For every complaint, your training volume doubles."
Naruto immediately clamped his mouth shut.
Kakashi took out three silver bracelets.
"These are gravity bracelets. They allow you to adjust gravity. For the next seven days, all of you will train while wearing them."
"Gravity bracelets?" Sakura took one, feeling its weight.
"Put them on and set them to one-times gravity," Kakashi ordered.
The three of them put on the bracelets.
Instantly, a heavy pressure slammed down on their bodies.
"S-So heavy!" Naruto nearly toppled over.
Sasuke gritted his teeth, barely managing to stay upright.
Sakura's face went pale, her legs trembling.
"Get used to it," Kakashi said calmly. "From now on, except when you're sleeping, you're not allowed to take them off. Eating, using the bathroom, training—wear them at all times."
"In seven days, you'll thank me."
All three nodded bitterly.
"Alright. First training item." Kakashi took out three special sheets of paper. "Chakra nature testing."
"Chakra nature?" Naruto asked, confused.
"Chakra has five basic natures: Fire, Water, Wind, Lightning, and Earth," Kakashi explained.
"Everyone is born with an affinity for certain natures. Only by knowing your own can you properly learn ninjutsu."
He handed each of them a sheet.
"This is chakra test paper. Inject chakra into it. The change will reveal your nature."
"Fire burns, Wind cuts, Lightning wrinkles, Earth crumbles, and Water becomes damp."
"Let's go in order."
Naruto stepped forward first.
"Just pour chakra into it?" He focused, channeling chakra into the paper.
Rip!
The paper split cleanly in two.
"Wind nature." Kakashi's eyes lit up. "Excellent. Uzumaki Naruto, you're Wind-style."
"Wind?" Naruto stared at the torn paper. "What does that mean?"
"Wind-style is one of the rarest natures, and its offensive power is extremely high," Kakashi said.
"It excels at cutting. Combined with your Shadow Clones, it has enormous potential."
Naruto's eyes sparkled. "Really?!"
"Yes," Kakashi nodded. "I'll teach you how to properly use Wind-style during this training."
"Next—Uchiha Sasuke."
Sasuke injected chakra into the paper.
Immediately, half the paper burned while the other half crinkled with fine wrinkles.
"Fire and Lightning. Dual natures," Kakashi said with satisfaction.
"As expected of an Uchiha. Fire is your clan's specialty—but Lightning is rare."
"What?! Two natures?!" Naruto gaped.
"Sasuke actually has two?!"
"Tch." Sasuke looked at the paper, a faint smirk forming.
"That's not fair!" Naruto shouted. "Why does he get two and I only get one?!"
"Talent," Sasuke replied coolly. "A dead last will always be a dead last."
"What did you say?!" Naruto exploded.
"I'm stating facts."
"You—!"
"Enough, you two!" Sakura said helplessly. "You're teammates—stop fighting!"
"Hmph!" Both turned away at the same time.
Kakashi watched, amused. Youth really was something.
"Don't envy others, Naruto," Kakashi said.
"Having multiple natures also means your focus is divided. Specializing in Wind-style can actually take you further."
"Also, Wind has the strongest cutting power of all chakra natures."
Naruto's eyes lit up. "Really?"
"Really," Kakashi nodded. "Many powerful shinobi use Wind-style. Including…"
He paused.
"The Fourth Hokage."
Naruto froze. "The Fourth Hokage… used Wind-style too?"
"Yes," Kakashi said. "So don't underestimate yourself. Your potential is no worse than anyone else's."
Naruto clenched his fists, fire igniting in his eyes. "I get it!"
Sasuke glanced at Naruto silently.
The Fourth Hokage… a legend…
Tch. Even so, I won't lose. I have two natures—and the Sharingan.
"Finally, Sakura Haruno."
Sakura nervously injected chakra into the paper.
The paper became damp.
"Water-style," Kakashi said. "Gentle in nature—well suited for Medical Ninjutsu and Genjutsu."
"Ah… I only have one nature too…" Sakura said quietly, a little disappointed.
"What's wrong with one?!" Naruto immediately protested.
"Kakashi-sensei said focusing on one can be even stronger!"
"R-Right…" Sakura nodded, though her eyes still drifted toward Sasuke. Two natures… amazing…
"And Water-style suits you perfectly," Kakashi said.
"Medical Ninjutsu and Genjutsu both rely on gentle, precise chakra."
"Medical Ninjutsu… Genjutsu?" Sakura repeated.
"Yes," Kakashi looked at her seriously.
"Your chakra control is the best among the three of you. If you learn Medical Ninjutsu, the results will be remarkable."
"Your academic performance is also excellent. Genjutsu requires precision and calm judgment—perfect for you."
Sakura's eyes shone. That way… I won't hold them back.
"I want to learn!" she said firmly.
"Good," Kakashi nodded. "Now, let's begin the real training."
He turned to Naruto.
"Your chakra reserves are massive—your greatest strength. But your control is terrible, wasting most of it."
He pulled out a water balloon.
"You'll use chakra to make this rotate until it bursts."
"Just that?" Naruto grabbed it.
"Just that," Kakashi said.
"But it requires extremely fine control. You need irregular chakra flow to make the water spin."
"This is the first stage of Rasengan training."
"Rasengan?" Naruto blinked.
"An A-rank technique with no hand seals," Kakashi said.
"It was created by the Fourth Hokage. Once mastered—and combined with your chakra and Shadow Clones—it's terrifying."
Naruto clenched the balloon. "The Fourth Hokage's technique… I'll master it!"
"Wait!" Sasuke interrupted. "Why does Naruto get to learn an A-rank jutsu?"
"Because it suits him," Kakashi replied. "Rasengan requires enormous chakra. Naruto qualifies."
"Then what about me?" Sasuke pressed.
"You have your own," Kakashi smiled.
"Chidori—an A-rank jutsu I created. It requires Lightning-style and extreme speed."
Sasuke's eyes lit up.
"But Chidori has strict prerequisites," Kakashi continued.
"First, you must master Lightning Release Body Activation."
"I will," Sasuke said without hesitation.
"And you, Sakura?" she asked softly. "They get A-rank jutsu…"
"Your path is different," Kakashi said.
"Medical and Genjutsu specialists don't rely on destructive power. Your value lies in support and control."
"And elite medical ninja are far rarer than A-rank attackers."
Sakura nodded thoughtfully.
"Enough talking." Kakashi clapped his hands. "Begin!"
To Naruto, he added, "This will be hard. But you can use Shadow Clones. Their experience returns to you—multiplying your efficiency."
Naruto instantly created more than a dozen Shadow Clones, each holding a water balloon.
Kakashi turned to Sasuke.
"You just awakened the two-tomoe Sharingan. You need familiarity—but more importantly, Lightning-style development."
Lightning crackled in Kakashi's palm.
"Lightning-style chakra can stimulate cells, drastically increasing speed, strength, and reaction time."
Sasuke's eyes widened.
"It's a secret technique of the Hidden Cloud," Kakashi said,
"but the principle is simple—control the intensity."
"Too strong, you damage your body. Too weak, it's useless."
"This will hurt," Kakashi warned. "Be prepared."
"I'm not afraid of pain," Sasuke replied.
"Good." Kakashi demonstrated, chakra condensing into crackling lightning.
"Imagine chakra as unstable current—violent and sharp."
Sasuke focused.
Zzz…
Tiny sparks flickered in his hand.
"I did it!"
"Excellent," Kakashi praised. "Now slowly increase output. Eventually, cover your whole body."
"Take it slow."
Sasuke nodded and continued.
Finally, Kakashi turned to Sakura.
"Your training has two parts."
He produced a small live fish and made a shallow cut.
"Heal it using chakra. Medical Ninjutsu accelerates cell division—precision is everything."
Sakura carefully channeled chakra. A faint green glow appeared as the wound slowly closed.
"Very good," Kakashi nodded. "You have talent. Keep practicing until you can heal it completely."
"Second—Genjutsu."
He explained the principles and hand seals of Demonic Illusion: Hell Viewing Technique.
Sakura listened intently, asking questions as she learned.
"Excellent comprehension," Kakashi said. "Practice on your own. Ask if you're unsure."
The three began training.
Naruto and his clones struggled, water balloons wobbling uselessly.
"Why won't it spin?!" Naruto screamed.
Sasuke sat cross-legged, lightning crawling over his body, pain stabbing through him.
Endure… this is nothing…
Sakura focused on healing, sweat beading on her brow.
Kakashi watched quietly, satisfied.
Very good.
Seven days… should be enough.
