Silver Wolf was glad she got Xingqiu and Diluc from the beginner's banner; otherwise it would have been even harder.
Because she didn't bring any Cryo characters, Silver Wolf decided to prioritize eliminating enemies other than the Electrohammer Vanguard first. At this early stage after launch, it was impossible to break the Electrohammer's shield before it activated.
So the Electrohammer would definitely put up its shield. In that case, she would reasonably exploit the Fatui's mechanic of only shielding at half health and leave the Electrohammer for last.
Otherwise, once the Electrohammer shielded, it gained super armor, high damage, and her attacks would feel like scraping.
Silver Wolf's team was: Diluc, Xingqiu, Anemo Traveler, Noelle.
First, she used Xingqiu's E skill to kick once, applying the Hydro sword rings to herself, then switched to Diluc to focus fire on the Pyro Gunner Bracer. As soon as the Hydro symbol appeared above the Bracer's head, she used Diluc's E to start triggering Vaporize.
When the Pyro Gunner activated its Pyro shield, she switched to Xingqiu and used his Burst to break the shield.
If the Electro Cicin Mage released cicins, she switched to the Anemo Traveler to group them up and burst them down.
The moment she noticed the Electrohammer or Anemo Boxer making a move, or the Pyro Agent disappearing from sight, she didn't hesitate and immediately switched to Noelle to raise her shield for survival.
Silver Wolf rarely became this serious. Six Fatui advance team members at this early post-launch stage were practically hell difficulty.
However, because it was right after launch and still within the story, even though they were Fatui, their damage and HP were still far inferior to what Silver Wolf had encountered during the closed beta.
In summary, they looked intimidating, but as long as roles were used reasonably, it was possible to pass relatively easily.
If it really got too difficult, one could prepare more Teyvat Fried Egg and Sweet Flower Stuffed Chicken and win through a war of attrition.
When the Electrohammer Vanguard finally fell to Silver Wolf's Diluc, the game entered a cutscene.
...
The Bracer gripped his gun and pulled the trigger at Lumine.
The bullet filled with Pyro energy enlarged before her eyes. There was no fear on Lumine's face. Anemo energy gathered on her blunt sword, and her sharp, swift blade directly sliced the bullet in half.
"Wind Blade!"
Lumine shouted lightly. Anemo energy converged in her hand, then she swiftly closed in on the enemy and unleashed the swirling vortex sword she had condensed.
The vacuum vortex restrained the movements of both the Pyro Gunner and Geochanter, even forcing the two to involuntarily draw closer to each other.
From the corner of her eye, she saw the Electro Cicin Mage's cicins launching an attack toward Venti's wind barrier. Lumine leaped into the air, spun her body, mobilized Anemo energy to form a tornado, and released it toward the cicins.
The cicins split apart into pure Electro energy under the pull of Anemo.
The Electro Cicin Mage still wanted to continue condensing more cicins, but a blazing sword blade suddenly appeared and struck her down.
After knocking down the Electro Cicin Mage, Diluc turned around, raised his sword in an upward slash, blocked the Electrohammer Vanguard's heavy hammer, exerted force with both hands, and knocked the Electrohammer Vanguard away.
Suddenly, Diluc felt a pulling force dragging his body.
His gaze locked onto the Anemo Boxer Vanguard behind the Electrohammer, then he gave up resisting, used the suction force to soar into the air, and spun his body.
The flaming greatsword performed a downward chop against the Anemo Boxer's charged attack. Wind and fire clashed against each other.
The two forces collided. In the end, the Anemo Boxer was defeated, knocked back several steps, his footing already becoming unsteady.
"Dawn is about to break!"
Diluc rose, gripped the greatsword with both hands and began condensing Pyro energy. An orange-red phoenix took shape.
At this moment, behind Diluc, the figure of the Pyro Agent appeared. He assumed a stance, preparing to launch a sneak attack.
"Thus, I sentence you to death!"
At that instant, a bright star flashed in the sky.
Jun Bai's pupils transformed into crosshairs, locking onto the Pyro Agent behind Diluc. The long spear pierced through the firmament, and the blazing fire phoenix reappeared.
The phoenix and the Adeptus bird crossed paths, each heading toward their respective targets.
The white-tasseled spear plunged deep into the ground. The Pyro Agent lay on the ground, his entire body charred black, breathing faintly.
The flames on the sword blade extinguished. The Electrohammer and Anemo Boxer half-knelt on the ground, completely unconscious.
...
Bang bang bang.
Table HP -3
Guinaifen slammed the table fiercely, so excited that she became incoherent.
She was not the only one showing this symptom; the water friends in her livestream room were doing the same.
[Venti! Venti my cute baby! Come here! Come into Mommy's arms! Mommy will protect you!]
[Lumine is so cool! Is this what the protagonist is like?!]
[Master Diluc is so explosively handsome! This is the value of a launch main DPS and open-world clearing god!]
[Did no one notice Jun Bai? Doesn't anyone think he looked super cool when he entered the scene?]
[Diluc & Jun Bai: Watch closely, Fatui this is our hot-blooded combo technique!]
"Although everyone was very cool in this segment, the coolest one is still Jun Bai. No objections accepted!" As the most steadfast Jun Bai fan, Guinaifen watched the story with her own filter on.
"MiHoYo, hurry up and open the limited banner! I want to pull Jun Bai right now!" Guinaifen continued her excited rant.
[Little Gui, stop dreaming. MiHoYo already officially announced that the first limited banner is Venti.]
[Then the second banner is Klee. In other words, the limited 5-stars for the entire 1.0 major version are already confirmed. Jun Bai is a later character.]
"No! My Jun Bai!"
...
Jun Bai landed, pulled out his white-tasseled spear, and looked toward everyone: "Looks like I arrived right on time."
"Actually, even if you didn't come, nothing would have happened." Diluc said as he put away his greatsword.
The Pyro Agent thought Diluc hadn't noticed his presence, but in reality, the attack target of "Dawn" had been aimed at him the entire time.
Lumine also finished beating the two Bracers until they completely lost combat ability, then sheathed her blunt sword and came over to regroup.
"These Fatui advance teams came for the Holy Lyre der Himmel. It seems they planned to use the power of the God of Wind contained within the Holy Lyre der Himmel to kill Dvalin."
"So it really is like that?" Jun Bai pretended to ponder, then looked at Venti and said, "The other side knows about the existence of the Holy Lyre der Himmel."
"Mhm." Venti nodded. "Looks like the other side knows Mondstadt's history quite well."
"Venti, you know what I mean."
"..." Venti remained silent, his gaze wandering everywhere, avoiding Jun Bai's topic.
Paimon listened with some confusion: "Is there a problem with this? Eh? Venti, why aren't you saying anything?"
"Paimon, can you watch your words!" Lumine said while covering Paimon's mouth.
Couldn't she see that Venti and Jun Bai's expressions weren't quite right?
"Fine, looks like I was overthinking again." Seeing Venti's attitude, Jun Bai understood his meaning.
However, Jun Bai had never intended for Venti to respond to this question. He was simply delivering his lines according to his own script.
This step was mainly to set up suspense for "The Lady's" appearance.
That way, Jun Bai's timely rescue later would feel more natural.
"Starsnatch Cliff isn't far anymore. We should hurry and set off." Jun Bai gave Venti a deep look, then turned and continued forward.
Lumine hesitated while looking at the fallen Fatui.
"Let's go. No need to mind these Fatui. The Knights of Favonius will come to clean up." Diluc said as he passed by Lumine. "Attacking the Honorary Knight of the Knights of Favonius this reason will allow the Knights to win back some ground in diplomacy."
"So, those guys from the Knights will be very happy to handle the cleanup."
Hearing this, Lumine no longer hesitated and continued forward.
Starsnatch Cliff was already right before their eyes.
