Chapter 6 - The Main Character II

The clear white void enveloped me as I tried to think of an escape….my thoughts racing with the same speed of the void's crushing…..

Suddenly the white space stopped its movement I sighed in relive…..yet a danger still loomed over me….the ball of light hummed like an excited child…..

"Oh didn't know your sheer will for survival was this—" the ball giggled cheerfully but I cut off its last words…

"I don't need meaningless compliments—" I groaned my shoulders tightening with tension…

"I am in need of answers…" I shout pointing a finger at the mass of light…

In a shot….the peaceful blank space began getting replaced by the old underground train station's walls….then the people who were around me glitch back to existence….

Joon-ho looks puzzled for a second for I got onto the other side of the train tracks….

"How did you get there..?" He asks his face full of question marks….

"I was twisting your arm just a second—" Joon-ho ruffles his black hair in confusion

I smirk in relief finally getting the upper hand of things yet there was a variable I haven't accounted for…

Joon-ho leaps into the air and lands beside me….I groan in frustration the adrenaline from earlier has disappeared leaving on the verge of panic as the tall man approaches me….

"This energy—" Joon-ho's pupils shrink as he feels the familiar aura seeping from me his hands shake in confusion

I look up at Joon-ho trying to extract any information he has….he must be talking about the aura the white ball left behind…its power was quite strong…

"Which dimension you went to..?" he asks with a low vicious growl making my skin crawl

Me still trembling slightly…I try to regain my confidence yet it stumbles down a steep mountain making me lower my eyes….

Marcy and Philip watch helplessly as Joon-ho grabs my arm…he gasps in shock as he finds the previously twisted arm fully healed

"It must be them—" Joon-ho whispers to himself yet I heard it…

My curiosity peaked is he speaking about the white space I had visited moments ago….or something else entirely…my thoughts race…my breath hitches as Joon-ho pulls me away and to a hidden part of the underground train station….

In a shot, a slap lands on my face…I look up at that idiot named Joon-ho as he tries to milk the entire tale out of me

I stayed completely still my gaze holding a fierce will for survival a hope in this already shattered world….

"Do whatever you want—" I shout loudly spitting out blood pathetically then Joon-ho cuts my words half way

"I have an entire list of torture in order to extract everything out of you!" He lets out a huff of annoyance an eerie smile appears on his face…

I kept my eyes steady despite the situation….the man's jaw tightened in frustration he held me by the collar of my office shirt making my feet float in the air….

Suddenly a message window manifested from thin air its artificial blue light hitting my face I gasp in amazement….

Joon-ho realising I have awakened let's go of my shirt making me fall onto the floor harshly

My sky blue eyes burn with determined power as I read through my new strengths and class the shattered hope being rebuilt into a fortress…

"So what's your class—" Joon-ho asks his arrogance spilling out of him

I know he is the main character of the novel I wrote….but why did teenage me find these type of people cool? that's concerning….

I shake off the thoughts of my teenage decisions and ground myself to reality….the man who has been thinking about torturing me is now acting all buddy-buddy thanks to my awakening…

"None of your business…" I give Joon-ho the cold shoulder me trying to act tough

"Hey—" he screams trying to look offended "I am not trying to kill you…" he says reassuringly with a fake smile that doesn't quite reach his eyes "at least not yet.." he adds…a low whisper

I turn my back to him and head towards Marcy and Philip…the kid Philip had an alarmed look on his small features he ran towards me hugging me tightly…

"I—I—thought you left us…" the kid cried out loudly his breathing heavy

"Don't worry silly, Jina won't die easily…" I smile warmly trying to reassure the child but a hint of pain surfaces from me…

As soon as Marcy felt my pain she flicked my forehead concerned

"I told not to fight…!" She sighed like a mother scolding a child then she tried to feel if my rib cracked further suddenly she was in pure disbelief

"How did your cracked rib heal so quickly?" She whispered in suspicion…
