Chapter 9 - Sylver sisters

The next morning at Eclipse was quiet compared to the night before. The club was closed, lights dimmed, tables half-cleaned, and the staff were either finishing paperwork, cleaning, or drinking coffee like zombies.

Noah was in the staff room, half awake, sitting at the table eating instant noodles and scrolling through his phone.

He still couldn't believe he worked here.

The door suddenly opened and Lena walked in.

"Noah," she said.

He looked up. "Yeah?"

"Come with me," she said.

"Am I in trouble already?" he asked.

"Just come," she replied.

That was not a comforting answer.

He stood up and followed her out of the staff room and through the hallway, then up the stairs toward the VIP section.

"Why are we going to VIP?" Noah asked.

"You'll see," Lena said.

That was also not a comforting answer.

When they reached the VIP section, Noah immediately noticed something.

Two women were sitting on the couch in the center booth.

They were dressed in revealing bikini-like outfits, barely covered, long hair, perfect makeup, legs crossed, heels on the table like they owned the place.

They looked almost identical.

Twins.

Both of them turned their heads at the same time when Noah walked in.

Their eyes immediately locked onto him.

"There he is," one of them said, smiling slowly.

"Fresh meat," the other one said.

Noah stopped walking.

"…I feel like I should leave," he muttered.

"Too late," Lena said and walked him forward.

The twins immediately moved and pulled him down onto the couch between them before he could even react.

Noah froze instantly.

He didn't know where to look.

Left was dangerous.

Right was also dangerous.

Looking forward was probably the safest option.

One of the twins leaned closer and looked at his face.

"He's cute," she said.

The other one leaned in from the other side.

"He smells nice too," she said.

Noah sat there like a statue.

He had no idea what to do.

Then one of the twins made a teasing gesture with her hand near her mouth and laughed.

Noah immediately looked straight ahead at the table like it was the most interesting thing in the world.

"I am not paid enough for this," he muttered quietly.

At that moment, Lena stepped forward.

"You two," she said. "Don't cause problems."

One of the twins looked up at her.

"We're not causing problems," she said. "We're customers."

The other one nodded. "And we requested him."

"You refused every other host," Lena said.

"Yes," the first twin replied.

"We only want him," the second one added, smiling.

At that moment, Madam walked into the VIP section.

Both twins looked up and smiled.

"Madam," they said at the same time.

Madam looked at Noah sitting between them, looking like he wanted to disappear, then looked at the twins.

"You're causing trouble early in the morning," Madam said calmly.

"We're not causing trouble," one of them said.

"We're supporting your new employee," the other added.

Madam crossed her arms.

"You can talk," she said. "You can drink. You can sit. But he is staff, not a toy."

Both twins smiled but didn't argue.

Noah was still sitting between them, staring straight ahead like if he moved, something bad would happen.

Madam looked at him for a second.

"Relax," she said. "If they kill you, I'll refund your salary."

"That's not reassuring," Noah replied.

One of the twins laughed and leaned back.

"Oh, I like him," she said.

The other twin nodded.

"Yeah," she said. "We're keeping him."

Noah closed his eyes for a second.

The twins both laughed at the same time, the sound perfectly synced like they had practiced it for years.

Madam sighed and pinched the bridge of her nose. "You two are going to be the death of me."

"That's the plan," one twin said sweetly.

"Eventually," the other added with a wink.

Noah kept his eyes closed a little longer, pretending the world would disappear if he just stayed still. It didn't work. He could still feel the heat from both sides of his body, the faint scent of something sweet and dangerous drifting off their skin.

Lena crossed her arms, clearly unimpressed. "Madam, should I drag him out of here?"

"No," Madam said, waving her hand lazily. "Let them talk. Noah needs to get used to this anyway."

Noah opened his eyes slowly. "Get used to being sandwiched between man-eating twins?"

Both girls turned to look at him again, their smiles widening.

"He talks," the left twin said, sounding delighted.

"And he's funny," the right one added.

The left twin suddenly placed a hand on his thigh, fingers light but unmistakably there. "I'm Mira."

The right twin mirrored the action on his other thigh. "I'm Myra."

Noah swallowed. "Nice to… meet you both."

Mira leaned in until her lips were close to his ear. "You're nervous."

It wasn't a question.

Myra did the same from the other side. "We like nervous guys."

One of the twins slowly pulled down the top of her bikini, showing him her breasts openly while the other continued petting his thigh, fingers tracing lazy circles higher and higher.

Noah's heart was hammering so hard he was sure they could hear it. Without thinking, he focused on the strange new feeling in his head — the system.

A faint blue window appeared in his vision, visible only to him.

He blinked.

Both of them were showing almost identical readings. Of course they were.

The windows disappeared as quickly as they came.

Mira tilted her head. "You just got this really weird look on your face."

"Like you saw something surprising," Myra finished.

Noah forced a smile. "Just… realizing I really need a raise."

Madam let out a short laugh from where she was standing. "You haven't even survived your first week yet and you're already asking for a raise?"

"He deserves it," Mira said, still not removing her hand from his thigh, fingers still gently petting.

"Very dedicated staff," Myra agreed, her breasts still on full display.

Lena shook her head. "I'm going back to finish the inventory. Try not to break the new guy on day two."

She turned and left without waiting for an answer.

Now it was just Noah, the twins, and Madam.

Madam looked at the three of them for a long moment, then sighed again. "Fine. You can have thirty minutes with him. Just don't give him PTSD."

The twins pouted at the same time, but nodded.

"Deal," they said together.

Madam gave Noah one last look. "Good luck, kid."

Then she walked out, leaving him alone with the twins.

The moment the door clicked shut, both Mira and Myra turned fully toward him, their bodies pressing closer.

"So, Noah," Mira purred.

"Tell us about yourself," Myra finished.

Noah stared straight ahead again, voice dry.

"My life was so normal three days ago.
