Chapter 22 - CHAPTER 22 : THIRD SPACE ABILITY

Li Xuan waited patiently for the little elf to wake up. He didn't want to disturb her sleep. From the beginning, he already understood one thing clearly—if she really wanted to kill him, she would have done it long ago. There was no need for her to casually lie on his head and sleep like nothing mattered.

So instead of acting rashly, he chose to observe.

While thinking, a small idea formed in his mind. If he could somehow befriend this strange creature, then it would become a powerful trump card for him. In this dangerous world, having one more hidden card meant one more chance to survive.

After around one hour, the little fairy slowly woke up.

She looked extremely lazy, stretching her tiny body, and even drool was still hanging at the corner of her mouth. Li Xuan looked at her and forced a slight smile.

"Can you understand me?" he asked cautiously.

The fairy just stared at him silently for a few seconds. There was no reaction at first, and Li Xuan didn't know what to do.

Just when he was about to give up, the fairy suddenly opened her mouth and said one word.

"Chocolate."

She stretched out both her hands like a small child asking for something.

Li Xuan froze for a moment, then quickly understood. Without hesitation, he reached into his pocket and took out a piece of good chocolate and handed it to her.

The fairy grabbed it instantly, opened it clumsily, and began eating quietly while still sitting on his head, looking completely comfortable as if this was her natural place.

Li Xuan tried talking again.

"Hey… what's your name? Where did you come from?"

No response.

He tried a few more times, but she completely ignored him.

In the end, he gave up talking and instead kept feeding her chocolates and other sweet food items, silently trying to please this little ancestor.

After eating enough, the fairy burped lightly, then picked up the remaining food and flew into his travel bag.

Li Xuan was curious and immediately opened the bag to check what she was doing.

Inside, he saw something unexpected.

The fairy had already arranged a small space for herself. Some of his clean clothes were neatly placed together like a tiny bed, and she was lying on it comfortably, slowly falling asleep again. Beside her were chocolates and other sweets she had stored for later.

But that wasn't all.

There were also four small fruits and a fist-sized silvery white crystal placed carefully near her.

Li Xuan's eyes narrowed.

He immediately used his ability to check them.

"These… level 1 spirit fruits?"

He was shocked.

At the same time, he became excited.

He didn't even know how long this fairy had been inside his bag. Somehow, without him noticing, she had already made his bag her home and even collected four spirit fruits.

"Where did she even get these from…" he muttered.

After calming down, his gaze shifted to the silvery crystal.

He focused his ability on it.

Item: Soul Crystal

Effect: Strengthens the soul and increases potential. If used by a sequencer, there is a chance to enhance abilities or even pre-awaken new abilities. If used by a normal creature, it may help awaken abilities.

After reading this, his breathing slowed.

For a moment, a thought appeared in his mind.

Take it.

Use it for yourself.

He even imagined awakening a space-type combat ability.

His eyes stayed on the crystal for a long time. Then he slowly looked away.

He knew clearly—if he forcefully took it, the consequences would not be something he could handle.

"…Forget it," he muttered.

"It looks like a foodie… I'll try another way."

People always said if you want to win someone's heart, start with food.

He decided to test that.

Seeing that the fairy was still sleeping and didn't follow him, Li Xuan stepped out of the tent.

He took out spices, seasonings, eggs, and other cooking items, then looked at the girls.

"Who knows how to cook properly?" he asked.

Yuan Yao raised her hand slightly.

"I can cook… a little," she said.

Li Xuan nodded and handed her the ingredients.

"Make something good. For one portion."

She looked at the items and said, "There's not much… maybe I can make fried eggs."

"Make it delicious," Li Xuan replied simply.

After that, he walked out.

Outside, he noticed a few people near his vehicles. They were trying to mess with the doors, even attempting to break them.

His expression turned cold instantly.

Without saying a word, he rushed forward.

Bang!

His fist slammed into one man's abdomen.

Before they could react, he struck the second and third.

All three collapsed to the ground, clutching their stomachs, crying in pain.

"Why did you hit us?" one of them shouted with difficulty. "Don't you know fighting is not allowed here?"

Another one added, "If you don't compensate us, we'll report you to the captain! You'll be expelled!"

Li Xuan looked at them coldly.

For a moment, killing intent flashed in his eyes.

But then he thought about the snake and the current situation.

"…Not now."

Instead, he stepped forward again and punched them harder—this time on their faces and backs. Their faces quickly swelled up like pigs.

"If you want to report, go ahead," he said calmly. "You tried to steal my things. I just taught you a lesson."

After that, he turned and walked back into the tent.

Inside, he tried to wake the fairy again.

After some time, Aril slowly woke up, looking confused.

Li Xuan pointed at the crystal.

"Can I take that?" he asked directly.

Aril looked at the crystal, then at him, and shook her head.

Li Xuan didn't give up.

"I'll give you food. Three times a day. Good food. Chocolates. Drinks."

He even took out a soft drink bottle and handed it to her.

She sniffed it cautiously, then took a small sip.

Her eyes lit up.

Without hesitation, she finished the entire bottle in one go.

Li Xuan stared.

"…Where did it even go?" he thought, looking at her tiny body.

But he didn't question it further.

"Give it to me," he said again. "You can eat anything you want. I'll make sure of it."

Aril thought for a moment.

Then, reluctantly, she pushed the crystal toward him.

Li Xuan felt a surge of happiness.

The moment he touched it, he felt a strange sensation.

Without hesitation, he crushed the crystal.

Energy surged into his body, flowing through his veins and bones.

His body trembled slightly.

It took nearly twenty minutes for him to fully absorb it.

Some energy leaked into the surroundings, which Aril quietly absorbed without wasting.

When Li Xuan opened his eyes, he felt refreshed.

His physique improved.

His spirit increased.

And more importantly—

A new ability awakened.

"Space Leap…" he murmured.

He could instantly move within a 15-meter radius.

It wasn't a direct combat ability, but combined with his improved physique, it made him extremely dangerous.

An assassin-type advantage.

Just as he was about to test it, he suddenly sensed something.

More than a dozen people were approaching.

He hadn't even actively used his ability.

"…The range increased?" he muttered.

Now it was around 50 meters.

He stood up and walked outside.

"Stay inside," he told the girls. "Just watch."

They nodded silently.

Soon, a group of people approached.

Among them were the three men he beat, along with others—and Ye Fan.

Ye Fan stepped forward and looked at Li Xuan.

"You're the one who beat them?" he asked.

"Yes," Li Xuan replied calmly. "So?"

Ye Fan frowned.

"Fighting is prohibited here. Either compensate them or leave the camp."

Li Xuan laughed lightly.

"So what if I beat them? I didn't kill them."

Ye Fan's expression darkened.

"You're not welcome here. Leave."

Li Xuan's smile didn't change.

"So I should just let them steal my things?"

Ye Fan paused.

"What do you mean?"

Li Xuan looked at him directly.

"You came here without knowing the full story. Do you think authority gives you the right to judge without investigating?"

Ye Fan's expression stiffened.

By now, people had gathered around, watching.

He realized something was wrong.

But in front of everyone, he couldn't back down.

Xiao Fan stepped forward quickly.

"They were just checking the vehicle," he said. "They wanted to trade. You attacked them."

"Compensate us with the car," he added coldly. "Or leave."

Li Xuan smiled.

He already expected this.

He looked around at the crowd.

Then he spoke louder.

"Good. Since everyone is here… let's make it clear."

His voice carried across the area.

He wasn't here to argue.

He was here to show them—

He wasn't someone they could push around.
