Chapter 31 - CHAPTER 31 : TWIN BLADE SEQUENCE

Soon the registration of people ended, and a detailed report was being prepared to separate talented and skilled individuals. Throughout the day, everything from selecting guards to organizing people into groups was carried out carefully.

For orphans, separate housing was arranged based on gender, and a few responsible people were appointed as temporary in-charge to take care of them.

Li Xuan was thinking about the Jiang convoy, as he had not seen any sequencers from that convoy so far, which made him feel slightly uneasy.

"But as long as I hold on until Aril breaks through, I will be safe," he muttered quietly to himself.

Soon, Rou Xi came to meet him and handed over the report she had prepared.

"Boss, the report is ready," she said respectfully.

The report stated that 146 women and 306 men had joined, making a total of 452 people, including all age groups.

Among them, there were 86 children, and 27 of them were orphans. They had all been given proper accommodation in separate houses based on gender.

They had also appointed volunteers to take care of them, ensuring basic safety and organization.

A total of 65 people had applied for the guard team, including 43 men and 22 women, while the selection of other talented and skilled individuals was still ongoing.

Training had already started as per Li Xuan's instructions, and the system was gradually stabilizing.

Seeing this, Li Xuan nodded slightly and gave further instructions.

"If anyone does not have supplies, provide them with basic support," he said calmly."In exchange, they must work and earn at least 20 contribution points."

He paused for a moment and added more.

"Appoint teachers for the children," he continued."They must learn awareness, mutant beasts, and ghost dangers."

He also instructed them to involve children in physical training and competitions.

"For each age group, boys compete with boys, girls with girls," he said."First place gets 10 points, second gets 6, and third gets 3."

Even those who did not win would receive 1 contribution point and a meal token.

Rou Xi nodded seriously, noting everything carefully.

"As for resources," Li Xuan added, "the building next to us will be used. You and Zi Ling will manage it."

Rou Xi then reported about the girl and her mother.

"The girl is Xiao Ling, and her mother is Wen Ran," she said."They are from the Spark convoy and joined for stability."

She continued, explaining the situation.

"The woman who held her was Liu Nan," Rou Xi said with a slight frown."She tried to exploit the system for contribution points and planned to run away."

"Wen Ran opposed her, so Liu Nan locked her up and beat her," she added.

Li Xuan's expression turned cold as he listened.

"Is Wen Ran fine?" he asked.

"Yes, only minor injuries. She has been treated," Rou Xi replied.

Li Xuan nodded and made his decision immediately.

"Tomorrow morning, confiscate all her belongings," he said."Punish her publicly, then expel her from the group."

"These tasks will be handled by Shen Miao," he added calmly.

"As for the rest, maintain the system properly," he continued."All sequencers can recruit capable and trustworthy people."

"They will be paid daily based on their skills," he finished.

Hearing this, Rou Xi smiled slightly, feeling relieved after the heavy workload of the day.

"Understood, boss," she said before leaving quickly to inform others.

When the other sequencers heard they could recruit helpers, they were very happy, especially Xu Ming.

"When did I ever work this much before?" he laughed lightly."Now at least I can rest a little."

Others also agreed and began selecting people immediately.

When normal members heard they could work under sequencers, they rushed to apply, revealing their skills and experience.

Even children became excited after hearing about contribution rewards.

They participated enthusiastically in competitions and training, giving their full effort.

Those who did not win were still given 1 contribution point and a meal token, which encouraged everyone to participate.

In the building near Li Xuan, people moved constantly, taking loans or exchanging supplies for contribution points.

Zi Ling and Sang Zhi managed everything carefully, along with other girls who helped organize the system.

They all wanted to support Li Xuan, so he assigned them roles based on their abilities.

Even Xu Ling, who looked tired, continued working hard, worried that she and her family might be expelled if they failed.

The two little girls also helped by moving supplies, their eyes shining as they looked at the food.

"Work first, eat later," one of them whispered seriously. The other nodded, though she kept glancing at the food longingly.

That evening, Li Xuan asked Xu Ming to send people to other convoys with a message.

"Tell them I am opening a trade fair," he said."They can come and exchange supplies if they are willing."

He hoped to find more unawakened people or sequencers through this.

That day, two new sequencers joined their convoy. One was an old man with a plant ability, and the other was from the Spark convoy with a Knight sequence.

Seeing this, Li Xuan thought about using resources to attract more people.

"If needed, I can gather more supplies," he thought calmly."My space ability will improve soon."

Both Jiang convoy and Spark convoy participated in the trade fair.

When they saw the large amount of food and supplies being traded openly, they were shocked.

"How can they reveal so many resources?" one person whispered.

The Jiang convoy sent only two representatives, while the Spark convoy also sent two men with Hunter and Assassin sequences.

During the exchange, Li Xuan noticed four unawakened individuals, two men and two women, all young.

One was from the Spark convoy, while the other three were from Jiang City convoy.

Noticing them, Li Xuan casually walked away from the management area and began observing quietly.

Soon, four more days passed in this manner, and the order within the group became stable.

After Liu Nan was punished and expelled publicly, no one dared to break the rules again.

Everyone focused on survival and avoided making mistakes that could get them expelled.

People started working actively for contribution points and gradually began to accept and trust the system.

During this time, Li Xuan met several sequencers from both Spark and Jiang City convoys.

Some had useful abilities, while others were less helpful, but he maintained a good impression with most of them.

He also communicated with unawakened individuals and encouraged them to join his group.

More survivors from other convoys joined, increasing the population to 509.

Two more sequencers also joined—twin sisters from Jiang City convoy.

They had awakened a rare Dual Blade sequence, which was considered strong in combat.

Their names were Yu Jie and Yu Ling, both 21 years old, beautiful and skilled.

"We want to join," Yu Jie said calmly."We have seen how your system works," Yu Ling added.

Li Xuan nodded slightly, accepting them.

They had joined after seeing the discipline and fairness in the group.

During this time, Li Xuan continued increasing his level, though progress became slower after reaching around 50 percent.

He realized that practice and understanding of abilities were more important than just raw power.

He shared this information with others and also introduced breathing and meditation methods.

"If you understand your ability, you will grow faster," he explained.

Others began practicing seriously, hoping to reach Level 2 soon.

There were still seven days left before the barrier disappeared.

Meanwhile, Ariel had been sleeping for two days.

At first, Li Xuan was worried something had happened, but after seeing that all the spirit fruits were gone, he understood the situation.

"She is trying to break through," he said quietly.

He assigned a few girls to watch over her carefully.

"I must wait until she succeeds," he thought.

Only then could he return the egg and leave safely without losses.

Meanwhile, the snake outside continued to move around restlessly, trying to find a way inside.

Li Xuan felt that the snake must be growing restless, unaware of the condition of its egg.

"It doesn't even know…" he murmured under his breath.

From his observation, the snake had already healed around sixty percent of its injuries, and its aura had grown noticeably stronger.

The pressure it emitted was no longer the same as before.

Li Xuan frowned slightly.

"If this continues, things will get difficult," he thought.

He always tried to think of the simplest and safest solution.

Right now, his only hope was Ariel.

He hoped that after her breakthrough, she would be strong enough to fight the snake on equal footing, at least long enough to buy time for everyone to escape.

At the same time, he had gone through all the information Xu Ming had recorded in his notes.

The notes contained knowledge about sequencers, ghosts, strange creatures, and different sequence paths.

There were also records about materials dropped from killing ghosts and anomalies, which were rare and valuable.

Reading through everything carefully, Li Xuan gained a much clearer understanding of the world.

"So this is how things work…" he said softly while closing the notebook.

As for strange artifacts, he called others and had returned the bow and arrow to Zhou Xun.

When handing it over, his expression turned serious.

"Don't act impulsively again," Li Xuan warned calmly."This is not a game. One mistake can cost lives."

Zhou Xun lowered his head slightly and nodded.

"I understand," he replied.

Li Xuan also learned about Xu Ming's radio and Shen Miao's robe.

Both were ranked artifacts, though their ranking was only between 8000 and 9000.

The radio had a strange condition—it required the user to constantly speak sweet or pleasant words to function properly.

Thinking about it made Li Xuan feel uncomfortable.

"That ability… is quite useless for me," he said with a slight frown.

As for Shen Miao's robe, it could only be worn by women, which made it unsuitable for him.

So he chose not to take either of them.

Before leaving, he reminded Xu Ming seriously,

"Use the radio every day and night," he said."Gather as much information as possible."

"If you find anything important, report it to me immediately."

Xu Ming nodded firmly.

"Understood, boss. I won't miss anything," he replied.

Li Xuan gave a slight nod before walking away, his mind already planning the next step.
