I was completely shocked by the video that was playing on the internet from Freya's account.
Then she entered. Hair slightly messy, eyes still blazing with that fire I couldn't quite escape. She looked powerful- like she'd been in these type of situations before. But how? What was she hiding?
Honestly? I admired her courage. She was nothing like the other girls in HVIS who dressed to impress. She was...bold. But being the idiot I was, I didn't say any of that to her. Instead-
"What's wrong with you? Are you so stupid you'd be this reckless?!"
Yeah. I was so messed up.
"Chill. You guys look like you saw a ghost or something." She said not even bothering to look up from the notebook she had just started writing in.
"Chill?! How can we chill jay? Everyone who saw that video will think YOU'RE the thief now." Felix said, clearly worried.
"Let them. I don't give a damn." She replied casually, as if discussing about the weather or something.
"Jay you didn't have to do that for me. I'm fine." Ci n said, finally speaking. He looked guilty.
She finally looked up from her note at that- and something in her gaze softened a little.
"No. You were definitely not fine."
"I was-"
"Stop. Stop pretending. I know you might be feeling guilty so I'm clarifying it now. I don't regret what I did. Nor did I accept I stole anything. If people assume, well it's their time they're wasting- not mine. If you want to pay me back though ci, just smile again. Go back to how you were. That's enough for me."
"Th- thank you jay. Really. I will." He said a grin finally splitting through his face after weeks of isolation.
"There. That's much better. Now are you going to let me complete my assignment or should I glue your mouth shut?" She asked, the tension in the room finally breaking.
"You couldn't even if you tried. I have a strong mouth." He joked.
She just rolled her eyes and went back to her notes. And I-
"Stop staring. You're probably going to burn a hole in her head." Yuri said snickering.
"I wasn't staring, I was observing." I protested feeling my face heat up a little.
"More like obsessing." Felix muttered. I caught it and shot him a glare. But he just shrugged and grinned back at me. I ignored them.
[The next day after edrix hacked and removed the video]
Jay came in and froze as she took in a slightly disheveled boy(imelda's boyfriend) and Imelda being held back by 2 people.
"What the hell are you guys doing now?"
Did she sound...bored? Seriously? Not even a hint of fear? This girl is really something else. Well I guess there's a reason she's in section e.
"Making them accept the truth." I replied, just as calmly. She rolled her eyes at me. Again.
"Move." She snapped. I frowned but something in her voice made me listen. I stepped aside. She leaned in slightly and whispered something to the boy. His face paled as if all the blood drained from it as his eyes widened in shock.
"We- we'll tell you. It was not our fault. We were told to frame ci n to get to you."
"Who?" I demanded, my senses overcoming my curiosity as to what she told him.
"M-mykel and Ella. They said they both wanted revenge on Jay for patching up mica and calix. So they used ci n to get to her because they thought she wouldn't mind it if it happened to her." Imelda's boyfriend answered.
"Got all that?" I asked as Luna and rakki stepped up, holding a camera.
"P-please. Don't post about who did it. If they know we revealed it, they'd punish us for it." Imelda pleaded. Jay just nodded as she went to thank rakki for helping us. Edrix was aldready hacking into Freya's account to post the video.
