Chapter 39 - Chapter 39 - How Hackers Help Internet-Addicted Teenagers Quit Gaming (Part 2)

"Jayden's level is higher than ours. How could he not win? Is it because of a ?" Victor asked, confused.

"It's a ," Elliot nodded, pointing at the program on the screen. He explained, "Look, I've checked 'Auto-Heal,' 'Attack Speed Boost,' 'Attack Power Boost,' and other functions. So, it's impossible for Jayden to beat me."

"I see," Victor suddenly understood, then asked, "Aren't easily banned?"

"Heh heh, the I wrote can't be banned," Elliot said confidently.

Victor couldn't help but give him a thumbs up.

He had long known that Elliot was a computer expert, and today he witnessed it firsthand.

"Why isn't Jayden coming back?" His brother-in-law noticed that in the small window, the "Moonlight Knight" character remained in the city and had not returned to the Lost Tower.

It seemed that after being instantly killed three times in a row, Jayden had chickened out.

No!

Moonlight Knight was changing equipment.

He ran to the warehouse and put on a sword that emitted a purple glow.

He then teleported to the third floor of the Lost Tower again and charged over.

"Ah!"

With a scream, Moonlight Knight fell in a pool of blood.

This was the fourth time he had died.

Jayden's expression was extremely gloomy.

Even with different equipment, he still couldn't beat the opponent.

"@Big Saber Slashes Towards Devils, are you f*cking sick? I didn't provoke you, why are you attacking me?" Jayden sent a message in the game channel.

"Do I need a reason to attack you? If you're not convinced, come at me!" Elliot replied to the message while laughing and saying to his brother-in-law beside him, "Why do so many people get addicted to games? There are usually two reasons: first, the game itself is fun, and second, games can satisfy people's vanity, especially the second point." Elliot continued, "Conversely, if in a game, your vanity is not only not satisfied but is instead crushed and humiliated, then will you still continue to play?"

"That makes sense," his brother-in-law Victor nodded. "When I was in junior high, arcade games were very popular, and I played a few times, but I quickly gave up. Because my skill was too poor, and back then when playing arcade games, there would be a crowd of people around. My poor skill was truly embarrassing."

"Exactly, I want to use this psychological trick to help Jayden quit his game addiction," Elliot said. "What we need to do now is to constantly hit him in the game, make him feel depressed and frustrated. As long as we persist for a while, not too long, a few days will be enough, he definitely won't want to play anymore, because no one likes to be abused."

As Elliot spoke, he noticed that Moonlight Knight had changed maps and gone to the fourth floor of the Lost Tower.

"It seems this kid has chickened out. He knows he can't beat me, so he changed maps," Elliot said with a smile.

"Then what should we do?" Victor asked.

"Chase him and keep abusing him," Elliot said, controlling his character and also teleporting to the fourth floor of the Lost Tower.

He found Moonlight Knight.

Moonlight Knight also saw him, turned around, and ran.

"Heh heh, still trying to run? Can you escape?"

Elliot controlled his character, chasing at an extremely fast speed.

"Swish, swish, swish!"

After a few slashes, Moonlight Knight fell in a pool of blood.

"Haha!" Victor couldn't help but laugh when he saw this scene.

Meanwhile, Jayden in the next room was so depressed he felt like spitting blood.

"@Big Saber Slashes Towards Devils, are you f*cking sick?!"

"Are you even human?! You followed me even when I changed maps! Aren't you ever going to quit?!"

"I f*ck your..."

Jayden furiously spammed messages.

Victor deliberately got up and walked to the door, knocking on the door of the next room, "Jayden, what are you doing in there?"

"Nothing..." Jayden's weak voice came out.

Victor smiled and returned to the study.

After Moonlight Knight revived, he ran back to the safe zone in the city.

Elliot also controlled his character, returning to the safe zone and standing face to face with "Moonlight Knight."

"Trash, too weak!" Elliot taunted Moonlight Knight.

"You... you..." Jayden was so angry he couldn't speak.

"Don't think I'm bullying you. I can take you down even without wearing equipment," Elliot said, taking off all the equipment on his character and changing into a beginner's cloth set.

"Come on! Noob! I'll let you use one hand, and you still can't beat me!"

After Elliot finished speaking, he walked out of the safe zone.

Moonlight Knight was clearly provoked by Elliot's arrogant tone and followed him out of the safe zone.

"Swish!"

As soon as the two walked out of the safe zone, Moonlight Knight swung his sword and attacked.

"Swish, swish, swish!"

Elliot controlled his character, moving nimbly, continuously dodging "Moonlight Knight's" attacks, then seized the opportunity and swung his sword—

"Ah!"

Moonlight Knight fell in a pool of blood.

"Holy sh*t!" Jayden yelled.

He couldn't understand why he still couldn't beat the opponent even though he had changed to beginner's equipment.

Depressed, frustrated.

Too frustrated.

"Little brat, is this all your skill? Too weak, I advise you to stop playing, it's embarrassing!" Elliot held back his laughter and sent a mocking message.

"You... you f*cking..." Jayden was so angry he couldn't speak.

No talking, just keep going.

Making him submit was impossible.

As soon as he revived, Moonlight Knight charged out of the safe zone again.

"Ah!"

It was another clean and swift instant kill.

"Little brat, have you learned something today? This is true skill. Your grandpa doesn't rely on equipment; I can beat you easily with just skill! Do you submit? If you submit, call me grandpa!" Elliot had an arrogant expression.

"Submit my ass!" Jayden cursed back, exasperated.

"Little bastard, still not convinced? Grandpa will beat you until you submit today."

"Come on! Little brat!"

...

Facing the continuous provocation.

Moonlight Knight's choice was to log off.

It was too frustrating.

Couldn't beat him, couldn't out-curse him.

Not playing anymore, how about that?

Elliot and his brother-in-law exchanged a smile and walked out of the study together.

"Jayden, come out and play for a while," Elliot called out to Jayden's room.

The door opened, and Jayden walked out with a gloomy expression.

"Why aren't you going to play with your classmates this weekend?" Elliot asked.

Jayden didn't speak, just lowered his head, looking sullen.

"Your uncle is talking to you, why aren't you saying anything?" Victor deliberately put on a stern expression.

"Jayden, come sit down and have some sunflower seeds," Elliot motioned for Jayden to come and sit, then handed him a handful of sunflower seeds.

Jayden took the sunflower seeds, cracking them absently.

"You're in your third year of junior high this year, right?" Elliot asked.

Jayden nodded.

"Your mom said you've been really into games lately. What game are you playing?"

"I'm not playing games," Jayden shook his head, denying it.

As he spoke, the little guy's eyes darted around, clearly distracted.

After cracking a few sunflower seeds, he got up again, wanting to go back to his room.
