As Charlie flew closer and closer toward the pale kingdom, the white palace began to take shape beneath her. She slowed her approach, scanning the high walls and lit windows for the one she needed — Celestia's room.
After a few seconds of searching Charlie finally found it, and without hesitation she dove headfirst at the glass, smashing through.
Now standing in the middle of the room, Charlie spoke.
"Ahh! Celestia! I really need help!" she called out to the sleeping woman, who was now slowly stirring awake.
As Celestia rose, the blankets fell away — revealing that she was, in fact, entirely naked.
"Oh! Uh...sorry for waking you up...like this." Charlie motioned vaguely at the fairly naked woman.
"That's alright, Charlie...hmmm." Celestia stretched languidly, giving Charlie a full view of everything.
"So what do you need help with?" Celestia asked the now-blushing princess.
"Well...there's this girl at the hotel and she needs help. She's bleeding pretty bad." Charlie said, composing herself.
"Alright...let me get changed quickly, then we'll head out." Celestia said before beginning to stand, the blankets falling off entirely.
Not wanting to see any more, Charlie quickly covered her eyes — but not long after doing so, a bright glow surrounded Celestia, and seconds later she was fully clothed.
"Alright, let's get going." Celestia moved back to the bed and pressed a quiet kiss to the sleeping Adam's forehead.
Opening her eyes, Charlie was a little surprised to find that Adam and Celestia had finally started living together.
Moving back toward the window, Charlie got ready to fly out — but before she could, Celestia caught her by the shoulder.
"Why don't we take a portal? It could be faster." Celestia smiled, the expression concealing her true intentions. She wasn't about to let Charlie destroy another window on the way out.
"Ok...I probably should have just used the crystal to get here. Hehe." Charlie laughed, embarrassed that she'd forgotten the simpler option.
"In any case." Celestia opened a portal leading directly to the hotel. "Shall we?" she said, stepping through, Charlie close behind.

Inside the hotel, Charlie called out to Shakra. When she called back, Charlie motioned for Celestia to follow.
They moved quickly through the halls until they reached the room where Shakra had taken the injured woman. Charlie pushed the door open to find Shakra applying herbs to soothe the pain.
At the sound of the door Shakra turned, offering Charlie a quick smile — then her expression shifted as she caught sight of who Charlie had brought with her.
"Grand Regent! It is an honor to have you here!" Shakra bowed low out of respect.
"Rise, Shakra. Show me what ails this woman." Celestia spoke calmly.
"Of course." Straightening up, Shakra began to remove the bandages and herbs she had placed over the wounds, revealing just how badly the woman had been mutilated.
"By the Creator." Celestia's hand rose to cover her mouth as she took in the full extent of it.
"Can you help her?" Charlie asked, hopeful.
"I shall try my best...but something like this..." Celestia murmured as she moved closer to the woman and knelt beside her.
She gathered energy around her hands and began to chant.
Slowly, the wounds began to close, leaving only scars in their place. After a few minutes the woman's breathing steadied, and at last her condition stabilized.
"Haa...there. She should be fine now." Celestia wiped the sweat from her brow.
"That was amazing. I've never seen anyone heal like that before." Charlie said, still staring.
"This particular spell draws on the caster's own vitality — most healers tend to avoid it for that reason." Celestia said with a tired smile.
"Thank you...wait. What do you mean, vitality?" Charlie asked, catching the weight of the word.
"Don't worry about that, Charlie. Now please look after her while she sleeps — I should get going before Adam realizes I'm not in bed." Celestia stood, opened a portal, and stepped through without another word.
Once she was gone, Charlie and Shakra began moving the sleeping woman out of the room and into their own.
They needed to watch over her, and keeping her close was the only sensible option.
As they carried her through the halls, a visible tension hung around Charlie — something Shakra could feel even if she couldn't name it yet. She opened her mouth to speak, but they had already reached the bedroom, and the moment demanded their focus.
They set the woman down on the spare bed. Charlie let out a slow breath, the weight of the night finally lifting.
"Man. What a day." She dropped onto the bed.
Shakra climbed in beside her and drew Charlie's head onto her lap, stroking her hair softly. The fatigue that had been building for hours caught up all at once, and Charlie drifted off against her lover's touch. Not long after, Shakra let her own eyes close, her head resting against the bed frame.

"Hello?" Charlie's voice disappeared into the fog almost as soon as she spoke.
She turned slowly, looking around. Dense trees rose on all sides, their shapes half-swallowed by pale mist. There was no path, no light she could fix on.
"Anyone there?" she tried again.
Deeper in the fog, the silhouette of a woman appeared — still, wearing a wide-brimmed hat. Charlie moved toward her, stepping carefully across the uneven ground.
"Hello? Could you tell me if there's a way out of here?"
No answer.
Charlie kept walking. The figure didn't move. As she drew close enough to see clearly, her steps slowed — it was nothing but a tangle of rocks and broken twigs arranged by shadow and chance into the shape of something human.
"What is going on?" she muttered, turning to look for another way out.
A hand closed over her mouth from behind. Something dark and wet hit her — she couldn't breathe, couldn't move —
"Ahh!"
Charlie lurched awake and rolled off the edge of the bed.
"Ow."
She lay still for a moment, then dragged herself up off the floor and headed downstairs.
The sound of something sizzling reached her before she even made it to the bottom step. Not wanting to miss breakfast, Charlie followed the smell to the kitchen.
Inside, Shakra was already seated at the table, working steadily through a full plate.
"Oh, love! Come join us — the food is delicious!" Shakra said, taking another bite.
Charlie sat beside her, then glanced toward the stove.
The woman from last night was standing at it, cooking.
"Is she alright? Wasn't she injured?" Charlie whispered.
"The Grand Regent must have healed her better than we thought!" Shakra said brightly, reaching for another bite.
"Yeah...she must have." Charlie kept watching the woman's back.
Her mind drifted back to the dream, the fog, the shape that hadn't been there — and before she could pull herself out of it, the woman turned and set a large plate in front of her.
Charlie looked up.
The woman had a beautiful face and a kind, unhurried smile.
"Thank you," Charlie said quietly.
"It is nothing, your highness. Consider it a small thanks for saving me last night." She sat down across from them, folding her hands on the table.
Charlie hesitated. "So...not to pry, but could you tell us your name?"
The woman smiled.
"It's nothing really special...but you can call me Eve."
