Chapter 28 - Chapter 28 Qin Ming, the leader

of the Royal Battle Team. Under the gaze of Soul Douluo Zhilin, Xiao Wu became increasingly flustered. The clan elder smiled wryly; perhaps she was used to being a rabbit, and even now, as a human, she still harbored psychological trauma.

Clearing his throat, Zhilin said seriously, "Little girl, can we see your spirit?"

The zu zong took Xiao Wu's hand and comforted her, "It's alright, it's just showing them your spirit."

With the zu zong's reassurance, Xiao Wu's mood improved considerably. She nodded and mustered her courage, saying, "Xiao Wu, spirit rabbit, level 33, three-ring battle spirit master of the power attack type."

A red light shone from Xiao Wu's body. Under the faint red glow, her eyes began to turn red, her ears slowly lengthened, and soft white fur stood up from the sides of her head. She seemed to have grown taller, and a gentle aura of spirit power rippled around her body. The spirit rings rising beneath her feet were the same as the zu zong's before—yellow and purple, also three spirit rings.

The three education commissioners nodded in agreement. "Hmm! Not bad."

Meng Shenji looked at the middle-aged man standing to the side and laughed, "Qin Ming, how about it? Are these two qualified for the Royal Fighting Team?"

The middle-aged man was very excited, his face beaming with joy. He replied with a smile, "Commissioners, if they aren't qualified, then probably very few people on the entire continent are." When

Meng Shenji first called him here, informing him that two new students would be joining the Royal Fighting Team today, he initially refused.

It wasn't that he had any prejudice against new students, but rather that most of the new students were from noble families. The extravagance and decadence of the nobles in the Heavenly Dou Empire were extremely severe, the worst on the continent. Even those with some talent often ended up achieving nothing because they spent their days hanging out with their cronies. The fourth prince of the Heavenly Dou Empire, Xue Beng, was a prime example.

It was already difficult enough for the Royal Fighting Team to gather good talents like Yu Tianheng and Dugu Yan; he didn't want to spoil the whole team with a few bad apples. But Meng Shenji was, after all, the chairman of the academy's teaching committee, and he couldn't very well refuse. So he suggested that they meet first before making a decision. He never expected reality to give him such a pleasant surprise.

The middle-aged man smiled and said, "My name is Qin Ming, I'm thirty-two years old (according to Baidu), a teacher at the Heaven Dou Royal Academy and the leader of the Royal Fighting Team. My martial soul is the mutated Fiery Wolf, a level 62, powerful attack-type, six-ring battle soul emperor. From today onwards, you are members of my Royal Fighting Team."

 ZuZong: What?

Xiao Wu: What? (Learning from ZuZong)

After completing the enrollment procedures for Zu Zong and Xiao Wu, Qin Ming led them to the Heaven Dou Battle Team's assembly point.

As they walked, Qin Ming introduced everything around them.

"This is the academy's cafeteria; the food is decent, and it's all free."

"This is the Martial Soul Simulation Training Ground; you can use it later, but you'll need to apply."

  "This is..."

Without the three Soul Douluos from the teaching committee present, Xiao Wu reverted to her carefree self, wanting to touch and look at everything she saw. Especially when she heard about the cafeteria, she couldn't move, her eyes fixed on Zu Zong. Helpless, Zu Zong had to sign a series of unequal treaties, including a "One-Day Trip to Tian Dou City," with her before she would stop.

Once the buildings gradually disappeared from view, Xiao Wu finally calmed down and asked Qin Ming, "Teacher Qin, isn't it said that all new students need to take an exam? Is it really okay for us to use connections like this?"

Zu Zong's expression turned serious. "Damn, this rabbit actually cares about other things besides eating!

" he thought, reaching for Xiao Wu's forehead with his right hand. Touched by Zu Zong, Xiao Wu immediately blushed, but didn't try to pull her hand away. She feigned a scolding, "What?"

Zu Zong raised his remaining left hand, touching his forehead, and smiled, "No fever! You actually said something serious today! I thought you'd ask Teacher Qin what time the cafeteria opens!"

"Go to hell! Awooo!" Pushing away Zu Zong's right hand, Xiao Wu grabbed it and bit down hard.

"Ah! What a sin! You dead rabbit, let go!"

  "I won't let go!"

  "Let go or not!"

  "I just won't let go!"

Qin Ming watched the two playfully bickering, a knowing smile on his face. They were truly childhood sweethearts! At the same time, he silently mourned for himself for a second: He was torturing the wolf.

Qin Ming's martial soul was a wolf, and Master Su Yuntao's was a dog, so Qin Ming was torturing the wolf, and Su Yuntao was torturing the dog. Yes! That's right.

The two noticed Qin Ming's gaze.

The zu zong didn't care; he was an experienced driver.

Xiao Wu, however, couldn't stand it. She had actually done something so embarrassing in front of her new teacher; she was mortified. She let go and quickly hid behind the zuzong.

Qin Ming smiled faintly at Xiao Wu's reaction and said, "Your strength has been recognized by the three highest-ranking members of the academy, so the exam the day after tomorrow is just a formality."

At this point, Qin Ming's tone shifted, and he let out a helpless sigh.

"Moreover, the entrance exam for the Royal Academy of the Heavenly Dou Empire has become almost meaningless.

Those who manage to gain admission are mostly from powerful families; regardless of their actual ability to pass the exam, they are admitted anyway. Once inside, most don't cultivate diligently, simply wasting the academy's vast resources.

As for those with the ability to pass, without a background, they can't even get through the gates.

You two are lucky to have met the granddaughter of the Dream God Machine Education Committee member; otherwise, even with your exceptional talent, the academy's higher-ups wouldn't know, and you still wouldn't be able to enter.

However, in recent years, since His Highness the Crown Prince became the dean, the situation has improved considerably, but it's still a drop in the ocean.

The relationships among the nobility are far too complex."

The zu zong nodded in deep agreement; the current situation was similar to the late Eastern Han Dynasty on Blue Star in his previous life. The source of the chaos lay in the fact that the aristocratic families controlled the vast majority of the land and population, leaving the common people starving, ultimately leading to war and a decades-long struggle for supremacy. Ironically, the three kingdoms of Wei, Shu, and Wu fought back and forth, but the ultimate victor was the aristocratic class, represented by the Sima family. Decades later, internal strife erupted again among the aristocratic clans, foreign enemies invaded, and the Han people suffered centuries of massacre—a truly ironic situation.

The original trajectory of Douluo Continent bears a striking resemblance to the Three Kingdoms period. The "righteous" protagonist helped the "righteous nobles" win this "evil" war launched by the Spirit Hall. Decades later, without the Spirit Hall as an enemy, war broke out again, continuing for tens of thousands of years without ceasing.

The protagonist, after becoming a god, stood high above, watching the endless war and the rampant evil spirit masters, claiming not to interfere in mortal affairs. However, when the continent once again had a chance for unification, the high and mighty god intervened, forcibly preventing unification. The continent once again fell into a situation where war could break out at any moment.

Thinking of this, the clan leader clenched his fists, thinking to himself, "Perhaps I can change something!"
