Chapter 45 - Chapter 46 So You Recognized Me Like This?

On the main street of Soto City, a man and a woman stood side by side.

The man was dressed extravagantly, appearing to be twelve or thirteen years old, over 1.7 meters tall, and wearing a black, form-fitting outfit. A flame-shaped fan was printed on the back of the outfit, making it very conspicuous. His long, blue-silver hair cascaded down his shoulders, his skin was fair, and his features were quite handsome. At this moment, his expression was somewhat unwell, and his gaze frequently drifted to his side, seemingly concerning the girl.

The woman was shorter than the boy. Her long, black hair cascaded over her shoulders, her skin was fair, and she possessed an extremely voluptuous and voluptuous figure beyond her years. Her expression was slightly cold. Her black eyes were devoid of any life, somewhat clashing with her otherwise extremely beautiful face. Her limbs were well-proportioned and long, and although she exuded a deathly coldness that was difficult to accept, she could still communicate normally with the boy. Although she didn't smile often, her smiles were genuine and unpretentious.

These two were none other than Zhu Zhuqing and zuzong, who had recently fought fiercely.

Upon hearing Zhu Zhuqing's words, "Zhu Qing of the Star Dou Great Forest," zu zong was completely bewildered.

After treating the little girl in the cave for a few days, he had taken her to a nearby town and found a healing-type Soul Master to treat her.

Not long after, he had contacted her "elder" who came to pick her up.

However, before parting, the other person seemed to have said, "ZuZong, one day you must come to save me."

The two had only spent less than a month together, and Zu Zong had taken it as a child's joke, casually replying, "Definitely! You're welcome to come find me anytime."

And it came true; she really did come looking for him.

zu zong looked at Zhu Zhuqing beside him, and, drawn by the pull of her breasts, his gaze involuntarily drifted downwards.

"Gulp." He swallowed hard. This was the difference between a fried egg and an ostrich egg—it was incredibly stimulating.

Noticing Zu Zong's gaze, Zhu Zhuqing lowered her head shyly. Her face flushed crimson, even her neck quickly turning pink.

Glaring at the zuzong, Zhu Zhuqing gritted her teeth and said, "What are you looking at? Who said I was a fried egg? And that I wasn't worth looking at."

Hearing this, the zu zong gave an awkward smile. It seemed he had actually teased her about that before. He quickly changed the subject, "By the way, Zhuqing, how did you become an ostrich... oh no, how did you join Shrek Academy?"

Holy crap! He almost blurted out his thoughts—

but the zu zong clearly remembered that in the original story, Zhu Zhuqing joined Shrek Academy firstly to escape Zhu Zhuyun's pursuit, and secondly because she still held a sliver of hope for Dai Mubai. Now it seemed he had unintentionally intercepted her, and judging from Zhu Zhuqing's words, she came to find him, which was quite intriguing.

"Didn't you say you were at Notting Junior Soul Master Academy? So I went to find you. But the academy teachers told me you had graduated, making me come all this way for nothing."

There was another thing Zhu Zhuqing didn't say: Zhu Zhuyun's assassination attempts on her had become increasingly frequent recently. She didn't want her clan leader to worry about her.

"Sigh?" Hearing Zhu Zhuqing say that, it was true. She had taken Xiao Wu to register at the Heaven Dou Royal Academy. And now Zhu Zhuqing was here again. It was a common trope in Qiong Yao dramas—the male and female leads just brushed past each other.

"Then why did you go to Shrek Academy again?" Although not many people at Notting Academy knew that her clan leader had joined the Heaven Dou Royal Academy, there were still some. It shouldn't be hard to find out by asking around.

Hearing this, Zhu Zhuqing pouted and complained, "A crew-cut uncle told me that you went to Shrek Academy to register. But after I enrolled, I didn't see you at all, but I saw..."

As she said this, Zhu Zhuqing's expression was dejected, and she kept glancing at her clan leader beside her.

  Her Zu Zong suddenly realized.

Damn it! It was that "Master" Yu Xiaogang again. Back then, Yu Xiaogang would come every few days to either take on disciples or recommend Shrek. In order not to bother him, she seemed to have given a perfunctory answer that she would join Shrek. He'd dug himself a hole, sending the girl to his rival.

Seeing Zhu Zhuqing's dejected expression, Zu Zong shook his head helplessly. "You mean that blond simp from today, right?"

"Simp?" Zhu Zhuqing's forehead creased with annoyance. Was it some kind of pet? It seemed Zu Zong had invented another new word. But none of that mattered; what she cared about now was Zu Zong's feelings. "Don't misunderstand, there's nothing between us."

Before Zhu Zhuqing could finish speaking, Zu Zong pulled her into his arms, giving her the most direct answer through his actions.

Zu Zong felt a soft, bittersweet feeling, a surge of tenderness welling up inside him. He didn't know why, even though their relationship was more than friendship but less than romance, he couldn't help but hug Zhu Zhuqing when she mentioned Dai Mubai.

Zu Zong admitted he was jealous, even though he firmly believed that the girl he met in the Star Dou Great Forest had no connection to him.

If his initial attraction to Zhu Zhuqing upon first meeting her was merely a fondness for a fictional character, now that he knew she was "Zhu Qing," it was genuine affection—a real, flesh-and-blood love. Recalling their month-long time together two years ago, he realized this girl had unknowingly taken root in his heart.

"Zu Zong, you…" Zhu Zhuqing was incredibly nervous about her first intimate encounter with a man. Although Zu Zong had held her in the Star Dou Great Forest, it was when she was unconscious. The overwhelming masculine scent wafting towards her stirred her senses, leaving her mind blank.

Zu Zong smelled wonderful, and his embrace was warm and reassuring. This was Zhu Zhuqing's most immediate feeling.

With his eyes slightly closed, Zu Zong breathed warm air into Zhu Zhuqing's ear. Zhu Zhuqing felt a tremor run through her, her body immediately going limp as she leaned against him.

Zu Zong whispered in her ear in a voice only the two of them could hear, "I don't care who that Dai Mubai likes, or what his identity is. I only know that you are the 'Zhu Qing' who cried out for me to 'save you' before we parted, and I promised you. So you are mine, and you can never escape."

"Mmm!" Zhu Zhuqing nodded, her face pressed against Zu Zong's strong chest. So love at first sight really does exist! Back in the cave in the Star Dou Great Forest, perhaps she had already fallen for him from the very first glance!

Dai Mubai (choking on cold water): I feel like I should dye my hair green.

Xiao Wu (crying uncontrollably in the toilet): --555555555- Six years, I've slept with you for six years. In the blink of an eye, you've been kidnapped --55555555-

"From now on, I'll call you Xiao Zong! Calling you Zu Zong feels awkward!"

  "Okay, Zhu Qing!"

"By the way, Xiao Zong, you didn't recognize me at the gate of Soto City today, so how did you recognize me in the dark just now?"

Hearing this, Zu Zong subconsciously lowered his head, his gaze fixed on Zhu Zhu Qing's bottomless cleavage. Although covered by a black leather jacket, a patch of snow-white skin was still visible.

  "Gulp." Swallowing hard, so big!

Not hearing Zu Zong reply for a long time, Zhu Zhu Qing thought that Zu Zong was thinking about other things. With a puzzled look, she looked up and her eyes met ZuZong's. She noticed a change in the clan leader's gaze. While the tenderness remained, a strange glint had appeared—a glint she'd seen in Dai Mubai as well.

Recalling their earlier conversation, Zhu Zhuqing suddenly understood. "Good heavens! I've been thinking of you for over two years, and all you remember is my bad luck!"

Growing angrier, Zhu Zhuqing broke free from the zu zong's embrace, raised her ten-centimeter heel, and stomped hard on his foot.

  "Ah!"

That night, the scream of the zu zong s echoed throughout most of Soto City.
