Chapter 37 - CHAPTER 37: A New Workplace

The morning air was cool as Go Eunseo stood in front of a large, elegant building in the middle of the busy street. The place was known across the city as one of the big restaurants where influential people, celebrities, and business owners often came to eat.

Eunseo adjusted her bag nervously and stared at the entrance.

"So this is the place…" she murmured to herself.

Her interview was supposed to start soon. She had spent the entire night worrying about it — what if she messed up the interview? What if they didn't like her?

Taking a deep breath, she stepped inside.

The moment she walked through the doors, she was greeted by a warm atmosphere. The interior was luxurious yet welcoming, filled with soft lighting, polished wooden tables, and the quiet chatter of early customers.

Eunseo looked around, unsure of who she should speak to.

Before she could approach the front desk, a tall, confident woman walked toward her.

It was Kwon Nari, the owner of the restaurant.

Nari stopped in front of Eunseo and studied her for a moment, her sharp eyes scanning her from head to toe.

Then she smiled.

"You're here for the interview, right?"

Eunseo nodded quickly. "Yes, I am."

Nari tilted her head slightly, still observing her.

Then, without hesitation, she said,

"You're hired."

Eunseo blinked.

"…What?"

"You're hired," Nari repeated casually.

Eunseo looked completely confused.

"Wait… without asking any questions?"

Nari laughed softly, crossing her arms.

"Yes. You're hired."

She leaned a little closer with a playful smile.

"As long as you're beautiful, you're hired."

Eunseo stared at her in disbelief.

She couldn't tell if the woman was joking or completely serious.

Before Eunseo could say anything else, Nari turned and gestured toward the working staff.

"Someone will show you around. You can start today."

"Today?" Eunseo repeated in shock.

But Nari had already begun walking away.

Eunseo stood there for a moment, still trying to process what had just happened.

Did I… just get hired like that?

A familiar voice interrupted her thoughts.

"Hi! You must be the new girl."

Eunseo turned and saw a young woman walking toward her with a friendly smile.

"I'm Kim Hae Rin," she said brightly. "I'll be guiding you today."

Eunseo nodded politely. "Go Eunseo."

"Nice to meet you!" Hae Rin said cheerfully.

She immediately began explaining everything as they walked through the restaurant.

"This place gets really busy at night," she said. "A lot of famous people come here too."

Eunseo nodded while listening.

Or at least trying to listen.

Because Hae Rin talked.

And talked.

And talked.

Eunseo quickly realized something.

She talks way too much.

"And you know," Hae Rin continued excitedly, "a lot of beautiful girls come to eat here. It's kind of famous for that."

Eunseo blinked.

"Oh?"

"Yeah," Hae Rin said proudly. "Especially one of the boss's best friends."

Eunseo wasn't really paying attention anymore, but she nodded anyway.

"Who?"

Hae Rin's eyes sparkled.

"Her name is Bae Dahye."

Eunseo froze for half a second.

Hae Rin didn't notice and continued talking happily.

"She comes here often. She's really cool… and beautiful."

Then she leaned closer and whispered excitedly,

"I actually have a crush on her."

Eunseo stared at her.

Hae Rin smiled dreamily.

"And I know I'll get her soon."

At that moment, Eunseo suddenly realized something.

This is the Hae Rin Yerin was complaining about.

Eunseo slowly turned her head away.

Under her breath, she murmured quietly,

"Keep dreaming about getting her."

"What?" Hae Rin asked immediately.

Eunseo looked back at her and smiled.

"Nothing."

But the smile on her face didn't reach her eyes.

That same night, Dahye was sitting alone in her apartment, reviewing some project files from the collaboration shoot.

Her phone buzzed.

She glanced down at the screen.

A message.

Her heart skipped when she saw the name.

Yerin.

The message was short.

Let's meet.

Dahye's eyes widened.

For a moment she just stared at the phone.

Then she suddenly stood up.

Her chair slid back as she grabbed her jacket without hesitation.

She didn't even question it.

If Yerin wanted to meet, she would go.

Immediately.

Within minutes, Dahye was already on her way out the door, heading toward the destination without delay.

Because the message…

Was from Yerin.
