At School Building B, Floor 2
Senju, Kenta, Hiroshi, and Shohei are watching Room 12. That is their mission.
"Ok, everybody got their eyes on Room 12?" Senju said.
They all said yes, and Senju could hear them through his earbud.
"Ok, Hiroshi, did you bring the under-door camera?" Senju said.
"You know it," Hiroshi replied.
"Ok, it's time to use it," Senju said.
"Alrighty," Hiroshi said before grabbing it out of his jacket pocket. Alright, let's make this smooth and quick, Hiroshi thought.
Hiroshi walked over to Room 12, bent down, and slid the wire under the door, then looked at the classroom through his tablet.
"Ok, camera's inside. Everything's working—just trying to find Daiki," Hiroshi said.
"Ok, good. This plan is going well," Senju said.
Hiroshi moved the wire around to find Daiki and spotted him talking.
"Alright, I've got eyes on him—he's talking to his friends," Hiroshi said.
"Alright, so he's still in the classroom—that's good. Move out now," Senju said.
"Got it," Hiroshi said. He packed up his stuff and went back to his spot.
"Alright, all we've got to do now is wait," Senju said.
Then a buff boy walked outside.
"I think I see one of Daiki's men leaving the classroom," Hiroshi said.
"How do you know that's one of Daiki's men?" Senju asked.
"Oh, I know one when I see one," Hiroshi said.
"Where's he going?" Senju asked.
"East," Hiroshi said.
"Kenta, that's you," Senju said.
"Got it—just follow him, right?" Kenta said.
"Yep," Senju said.
Kenta acted like a random student just walking by, while one of Daiki's men was in front of him.
"Alright, I'm following him. It looks like he's just going to the bathroom," Kenta said, speaking quietly so the guy wouldn't hear him.
"Ok, it doesn't matter—just follow him at all costs," Senju said.
"Alright, got it," Kenta said, still following him.
Daiki's man went inside the bathroom, and so did Kenta. The guy went to the urinal, and Kenta went to the sink to wash his face so he wouldn't look suspicious. Then Kenta walked out before him. He walked slowly, and Daiki's man came out and followed behind him.
"Nothing out of the ordinary—he just went to use the restroom," Kenta said as he kept walking forward, and Daiki's man went back to class.
"Dang it, we've got to find something on them, I'm telling you. We've got to find something," Senju said.
Two hours passed, and nothing happened. They started to lose hope and get bored.
"Man, I'm so sick and tired of this," Shohei said.
"For real, nothing has happened for two hours. I'm going to die from boredom," Hiroshi said.
"Yeah, it's about to be lunch, and if nothing happens, I'm sorry—I'm going to lunch," Kenta said.
"Alright, that's understandable," Senju said.
Then a girl left the classroom.
"Senju, a girl has left the classroom coming your way. She might not be onto something," Hiroshi said.
"I'm still going to follow her—it's better to be sure," Senju said.
Senju followed her, and she was leaving Building B.
"Yo, guys, she's leaving Building B," Senju said.
"So come back—she's probably a waste of time," Shohei said.
"Yeah," Kenta added.
"No, guys, I can't. Trust me on this—I feel something," Senju said.
"Well, your gut better be right," Kenta said.
"Yeah, I'm sure of it," Senju said, following her.
They walked around for some time, then she entered Building C.
"She's in Building C, guys," Senju said.
"Where is she going?" Kenta asked.
"Now she's definitely raising suspicion," Hiroshi said.
"I told you my gut feeling was right," Senju said.
"Alright, don't get too ahead of yourself," Shohei said.
She entered the library.
"She's going inside the library right now," Senju said.
"Alright, let's see what your gut was telling you," Hiroshi said.
Senju followed her inside the library, and she went to the computer section. Senju followed her and sat behind her so he could see what she was doing.
"You guys, she's sitting at the computer, logging in," Senju said.
"Ok, so what now?" Shohei said.
"We just have to wait. Time out—she's on the internet searching something," Senju said.
"Can you see what she's searching?" Hiroshi asked.
"No, I can't. I'm kind of too far away. I might just get up and walk past her to see," Senju said.
"That would be a good idea," Kenta said.
"Wait—she just logged out of the computer," Senju said.
"What?" Hiroshi said.
"What's she doing now?" Shohei asked.
"She's walking to the printer," Senju said.
"That's good—that means she's printing what she searched, and we can find out. I just don't know how you can," Hiroshi said.
"He can try peeking," Kenta suggested.
"No, you'll just look like a creep and raise suspicion," Hiroshi said.
"Alright, how about I just bump into her and find out?" Senju said.
"Yeah, that's a way better option," Hiroshi said.
"We're going to see if this was useful or not," Senju said.
She was leaving the printer.
"Alright, she's leaving the printer," Senju said.
As she walked forward, Senju purposely bumped into her. She fell and dropped the paper she had just printed.
"Oh, I'm so sorry—I didn't even see you there," Senju said.
"No, it's my fault. I should've paid better attention to my surroundings," she said.
"No, it's my fault. Let me give this back to you," Senju said.
Before handing it back, he glanced at it—it said Takesori neighborhood map layout.
"Oh, have a good day—and my bad," Senju said, walking away.
"No problem," she said, walking the opposite direction.
"What happened? What did it say?" Hiroshi asked.
"Yeah, what is it?" Kenta added.
"It said 'Takesori neighborhood map layout,'" Senju said.
"Takesori?" Shohei questioned.
"Yeah, that's what it said," Senju replied.
"You should ask Ren boss if he lives in Takesori or knows somebody there," Kenta said.
"Alright, let me text him," Senju said.
Senju texted me, and I got the message.
Who is texting me at this time? I grabbed my phone—it was Senju. I opened the message:
"Ren boss, do you happen to live in Takesori or know somebody from there?"
How does he know that I live in Takesori? I texted back:
"Yes, I do. Why?"
"Guys, Ren boss does live in Takesori," Senju said.
"What?!" they all said.
"So this definitely isn't a coincidence. That girl is working with Daiki, and they managed to find out where Ren boss lives," Senju said.
"Tell him right now," Hiroshi said.
Then Senju texted me:
"Because a girl from Daiki's classroom just printed a Takesori map layout."
How the hell did he figure out where I live? So it was one of Daiki's men staring at me at the graveyard. He must've followed my route home.
I texted back: "Alright, keep me posted."
"Ok, guys, it looks like we're skipping lunch," Senju said.
"Yeah, alright," Shohei said.
"I just came up with a plan that can probably help us," Senju said.
Then the announcement rang:
"All students report to the cafeteria for lunch."
"Perfect timing," Senju said.
As I was walking to lunch with the group, I was trying to think of a new plan.
Dang it, I'm in a tough spot. I can definitely get out of this, but it's going to take a lot of work to figure out their plan. I can't do that right now—I have to leave it up to those four. I know they can do this.
Building B, Floor 2 — Room 12
All four of the boys entered the empty classroom.
"Alright, Hiroshi, where does Daiki sit?" Senju asked.
"He sits right over there by the window," Hiroshi pointed.
"Great. I'm going to use my phone as a recording device to hear their conversation," Senju said.
"Alright, that's great, but how are you going to get your phone back?" Kenta asked.
"I'll find a way," Senju said.
He walked to the desk in front of Daiki's and placed his phone under the seat.
"Alright, we're set," Senju said.
Then they heard chatter nearby.
"Let's go," Senju said, and they rushed out into the hallway, hiding behind a wall.
"Who the hell is here?" Hiroshi said.
Then Daiki and a couple of others entered the classroom.
"What are they doing back so early?" Kenta said.
"Well, it doesn't matter. They're probably here to discuss something, and my phone is in there recording all of it," Senju said.
Inside the classroom, Daiki sat down, and his group surrounded him.
"Alright, let's discuss the plan to crush Ren Aokami," Daiki said.
"Did you get the map layout?" Daiki asked the girl.
"Yes, I did, Daiki," she said, handing it to him.
"Alright. Fuyuki, did you spy on him like I told you to?" Daiki said.
"Yes, boss. I found the route he takes home, and there's a spot without cameras," Fuyuki said.
"Alright, show me where," Daiki said.
Fuyuki pointed at an alleyway on the map.
"This spot right here has zero cameras. As I was spying on him, he went out to eat, went to a flower shop, and went to the graveyard—all those places have cameras. Then he takes the bus to the nearest stop by his house and walks home. But before he gets there, he has to pass this alleyway that has zero cameras. We can't let him go any further, because cameras will spot him and us. So we have to ambush him right there," Fuyuki explained.
"Excellent job, Fuyuki. That's great—now we have a spot where we can crush him. Now we have to leave early. All of us will leave in four hours to head to that alleyway. That should give us enough time to make sure everything is right," Daiki said.
"We're doing this today?" Fuyuki asked.
"Yes, we're doing it today," Daiki said.
"Isn't that a little too quick, boss?" one of his men asked.
"Not at all. I'm just rushing with adrenaline—I just can't wait any longer," Daiki said, smiling.
And Senju's phone was still recording.
They had all the information they needed.
