Chapter 7: The Battle with Sarai the Terrible.
On the 29th day one day before the big showdown with Sarai all of the
warriors were trying to execute the Buddhist Palm technique. But even with
Monkey's guidance they continued to fail. Up until a voice roared in Daniel's
mind. "Come on, Daniel. You never gave up on anything before. You got into
University by yourself when everyone else needed Tutors, you know more about
math and science than anyone I know and you understand what it means to be
selfless. Focus Daniel. Let it all out!" Daniel had a tear roll down his cheek and
then said; "Alright mom, I know you died before I ended up in this place but I just
wanted to say that I love you and I'm sorry I couldn't do more to stop the Cancer,"
said Daniel. "You have nothing to be ashamed of. I used to say God works in
mysterious ways but however you look at it things happen and sometimes they're
beyond our control. So let go of that guilt and clear your mind. You can do it, son.
If you ever have any doubt remember that I'm watching over you, I saw you save
that girl Daniel twice. You never think of yourself, and you only cry for others. Its
time you had a little self esteem. Come on, you're the Gatekeeper! You're the key!"
said his mother. After this Daniel began to start glowing the glow got brighter and
brighter until finally it was almost blinding. "What's going on with the Elf Boy is
he is unlocking the Buddhist Palm?!" said Zaiyal. "He thinks he is Zaiyal, it's
incredible. I honestly can't remember the last time I saw something like this," said
Ungar. "There is a reason why he's so powerful and every time I think I figured it
out it slips my mind. The kid is remarkable. I almost feel blessed to be in the
presence of such great power," said Acon 01 01 01 . After this the glow began to
darken until it was a faint color and then Daniel opened his eyes which were pure
blue and in the distance what Monkey had done now Daniel had also done.
Monkey, Yuga (Qagar) , Laozi and the others were awe struck by the boy but now
it was time to part ways for tomorrow Sarai would arrive on Helios and it would
take some time to get back from the Spirit World. And so Monkey made one
final-speech as everyone Monkey, Pigsy, Sandy, Yuga (Qagar) and Laozi all stood
in front of the gate facing the six heroes now including Jr. as they waited for the
Dragon that Ebisu sent for them. "It took me a God no less than 200 years to
master the Buddhist Palm technique but you mastered it in a day short of a month.
You are incredible," said Monkey. "I mean that doesn't make any sense. I hardly
know anything about fighting and martial arts let alone this Metaphysical-Style of
Martial Arts," said Daniel. "You might be correct but martial arts is only part of
the bigger picture. You were able to unleash that power because you have a pure
heart. The reason it took me so long was because I had to work very hard to
become the person I am today. I used to be a monster when I traveled across China
eating both Buddhists and Taoists alike. I of course met Tripitaka and the others
and that's when I started practicing Buddhism and following the teachings of the
Buddha. I had to let go of my ego and my pride above all else. Something that you
have already done. That is why you mastered the Palm so quickly. You're pure of
heart," said Monkey. "Thank you for everything," said Ungar. "No problem and
feel free to drop by anytime you feel like it, you are welcome to my palace," said
Monkey. After this both sides said their goodbyes and Monkey told Jr. that he
could help them fight Sarai but first he would have to complete his chores which
would take at least 12 hours if he didn't waste any time he could make it in time to
fight the Izadoran if he used his Flying Cloud Cloud. And so the five heroes were
with one other Jr. being in reserve. They were heading back to Helios to Yardrat
University where Sarai's ship was set to land 12 hours from now. He would arrive
around Noon to Helios and it had just turned Midnight the 30
th day, the faithful day
had arrived. When they reached Helios it was 10:30 and by 11:00 Ebisu said he
would land. As they traveled on the Dragon, Zaiyal was stuck in deep thought; "I
can't believe that Elf mastered that legendary technique in a little over a day. This
is ridiculous. I should be much stronger than he is right now even if he is part of
this Gatekeeper class? What the hell is happening?!", thought Zaiyal. Now they
would have to wait. Everyone was nervous how powerful was this warrior Sarai?
They would not have to wait long.
At 12:00 Noon on the dot a loud sound appeared and they all saw what was
clearly a ship. They knew if they didn't defeat this guy he might use his ship to
destroy the planet. The ship was small but advanced. Daniel remembered Ungar
telling him that Helios was roughly the size of Jupiter from his former planet
Earth's solar system. If he decided to launch the ship's cannon. They would all be
dead. But fortunately for the time being. He decided to land and as the doors of the
ship opened time seemed to slow down. And then there he was white as snow and
with a small scar on his face in advanced technologically advanced armor it was
Sarai. "Well, well, well, this is quite a nice planet you have here. Oh there's only
five of you, that's a shame I was hoping for a little more of a challenge," said Sarai.
"We'll have you know we have a sixth fighter in reserve. He's on his way right
now," said Ungar. "So in total it's only six, oh well, I'll take what I can get. And
you two mercenaries and assassins Taiping and Acon from the Quadrat Star
System you two flipped sides. Well it doesn't matter I was going to kill you either
way, I just can't stand failure... And this must be the child well aren't you quite the
specimen. So listen kid, I might be a Warlord but this is nothing personal. I just got
hired by the Demon King Taipei to kill you. I have no loyalties to him, I just need to
provide this service and get my reward," said Zaiyal. "Well by the looks of you you
must be part of the Solarian Diaspora. Your attitude is pissing me off. I think...
I'LL KILL YOU FIRST!" said Sarai. Sarai lunged forward and Zaiyal managed to
block him. "Wow you might just hold your own against me!" said Sarai. "I'm not
falling behind anymore, I will defeat you alone," said Zaiyal. Everyone began to
tell Zaiyal otherwise that they needed to work as a collective if they wanted to
stand a chance against this monster. But Zaiyal wasn't listening. At first Zaiyal was
winning but then it was clear that Sarai was for the most part just holding back.
And when he saw an opening he hit Zaiyal in the face and the young Solarian hit
the Earth like a bullet. "Well, well, well, my Androids have captured some life
forms. This should be interesting and one of these is a fellow Izadoran. How quaint
maybe I can get in touch with my roots!" said Sarai. In a giant floating robotic cage
guided by several small flying droids was three women. Athena, Aquaris, and a girl
who was friends with both of them an Izadoran so not an elf like the other two and
Izadoran Wolf-Refugee who like all Izadorans including Sarai had fur as white as
snow. "I think you need a little motivation. DROIDS!" After he barked this order
the droid shot electricity at the Izadoran girl. And she began to scream. "I don't
want to seem like I'm biased or impartial so why not shock the girl of my race first!
And to make it even more fun every blow one of you or me makes the droids will
pick up on it and up the voltage. Let's see how long she can survive. I agree with
the female that this fight is to die for isn't it?," said Sarai. "Hey you creep, why
don't you stop hurting the poor girl and just fight like an honorable warrior instead
of like some evil degenerate," said Aqauaris. "Well I guess it's the wolf's lucky day.
Droids shock the second Elf instead of the wolf." Said Sarai.
"AHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!" Aquarius's blood curdling scream got louder and
louder as the droids as per the wish of Sarai raised the voltage. "LEAVE HER
ALONE!" said Zaiyal. In the moment he put out his arm without thinking and the
cage and the droids exploded and behind them a large hill had a palm shaped hole
going straight through it. Zaiyal had done the Buddhist Palm but he was so angry
that he didn't even think about what just happened. "You will pay for hurting
Aquarius!" said Zaiyal. "Why is that your girlfriend or something that little blast
of energy can put a hole in a hill and destroy some tech but it would be enough to
stop me. But the tech was expensive and I'm kind of peeved about it," said Sarai.
But then the ground started to shake and Zaiyal was overflowing with energy. It
reached the point where Sarai began to get nervous. Zaiyal yelled for Daniel,
Ungar and the others to graph Aquarius and the others who were unconscious and
took them to the University where they would be safe. Sarai was less generous than
Taiping and Acon 01 01 01 had been before and he tried to shoot energy blasts at
Ungar, Daniel and Acon 01 01 01 as they carried away the girls. But Zaiyal was
not having it; he knocked the blasts out of the sky back at Sarai and by the time this
was over. The heroes were out of range from Sarai's attack. Sarai who was now a
little shaken again lunged forward. But before he could react Zaiyal landed a blow
to his face knocking him back and then Zaiyal began landing blow after blow and
Sarai looked as if he was in serious trouble finally throwing the wolf into the sky
and blasting him with the Solar Strike. After this Sarai's body landed on the ground
in front of them seemingly lifeless. Taiping asked, "Did you beat him kid, is it
over?!" but shortly after Taiping uttered these words a red eye opened as the
Izadoran lay there and he had incredible energy radiating off of him. "Now you've
done it. I almost died. I could have been killed by you trash! My pride will not be
insulted anymore you're dead Solarian. And so is this whole planet!" Said Sarai.
At that moment Ungar, Daniel and Acon 01 01 01 arrived back and saw Sarai get
into his ship and take off; this could only mean one thing: he was going to launch
the planet destroying cannon. Zaiyal looked on hopelessly and he couldn't move a
muscle. He had wasted all of his energy. He actually as he fainted had the energy to
ask Daniel to stop him and he had hoped he could do it. Daniel started to shake but
then he heard a familiar voice. It was the Wind God Ebisu, "Daniel, I spoke with
your mother and she said she's very proud of you. Look I'll be honest I'm doing
this because you're the only option I have left. But she loves you and thought she
might be dead. Athena loves you. You have to stop this!" said Ebisu. "But how
about Ebisu? I can't fly that well yet." Said Daniel. "Ask someone to give you a
boost and remember the Palm is more destructive the closer you get to something,"
said Ebisu. "Alight," said Daniel. Daniel asked if Acon 01 had a good throwing
arm. "Yeah I'm a Cyborg but why?!" said Acon. "Because I'm going to need a
lift," said Daniel. Meanwhile in the sky above Sarai continued to charge his cannon
it was two thirds of the way through. On the ground Acon 01 01 01 held Daniel
with one hand as he collected his Chi. And then he threw Daniel as Daniel flew up
towards the ship. "This planet could ruin my reputation as a conqueror. I need to
destroy it so I can take this secret to the grave. If it gets out I will be defeated by
some weak Helions. I'll be exiled from the pack if I'm lucky but most likely eaten by
the other wolves. That can't happen. Well the cannon is two thirds of the way
charging in just a few minutes this place will be spacedust and luckily this ship can
survive just about anything. Wait... there's something heading toward my ship, its
glowing. What is that? Wait... no it can't be that the elf. IS THIS SOME KIND OF
SICK JOKE! HOW IS THIS HAPPENING?!" said Sarai. In that moment Daniel
put his hand out and burst straight, you're the ship leaving instead of a palm shaped
hole, a hole that his own body had created. As Daniel was using the rest of his Chi
to try to float successfully down for Sarai it was too little too late. He was going to
crash right where he initially landed. The door was this time pushed open and a
broken and mangled Izadoran warrior began crawling out of the ship. He pressed a
button on his armor that brought over another flying device similar to a life boat as
his old ship was destroyed Sarai had an contingency plan. Ungar was about to use
his dark magic to kill Sarai before he could get into his ship. But Daniel knocked
his hand to the side and began to scold Ungar. "Don't kill him he can't even defend
himself." Said Daniel. "He's a monster he'll just come back one day and try to
wipe us out all over again but next time he might even bring an army." Said Ungar.
"Remember what Laozi told us about the Zoroastrian faith that everyone in the end
can be redeemed we need to give Sarai a chance. He deserves one." Said Daniel.
"That's all just hypotheticals we need to kill him before he kills billions more."
Said Ungar. "Is it all hypothetical? We Aren't you a tyrant once Ungar didn't
ravage the Earth once. You changed for the better. You got a second chance. Why
can't he get that chance." Said Daniel. Ungar paused and he didn't know how to
respond to this. In the end he decided to listen to Daniel and let Sarai but before the
wolf left he gave them one final warning. "You should have listened to that Wizard
and killed me when you had the chance, boy. For now you're safe but I'll come
back and when I do this entire planet is history." Said Sarai. After saying this Sarai
took off seemingly at the speed of sound and in the blink of an eye the monster was
gone. They thought that they had to defeat Taipei now but things took an
unexpected twist back at the Wind Palace.
At the Wind Palace Ebisu who was being protected by the Elite Four Prince
Karelian, Sir Rhyme, Ranjit Singh and Puyi all defended Ebisu from the servants
of the Demon King who were arriving. The servants had arrived and they brought
an orb which on the surface appeared the image of Emperor Taipei the Ape Demon
King who began to speak and was visibly moving within the orb's image. "One of my scribes looked into the details of the Spirit Blade and they concluded that the
Spirit Blade was last seen at the bottom of the Black Pit of Aragon when the last
Gatekeeper, another elf, died fighting some sort of evil demonic monster or
something. The point is nobody knows where the sword ended up except that it's
somewhere in the Black Pit of Aragon which is virtually endless. So I killed all four
of the Dragons of Fire, Water, Earth and Wind and ate their hearts so I could be
able to use the Spirit Blade and it was a waste of time. What was in your palace
that seemed like the blade's energy. That awoke when the new Gate Keeper was
chosen?!" ANSWER ME, EBISU!!!!" said Emperor Taipei. "Oh that it was just
this, it was the former jewel on the hilt of the blade. Every time a Gatekeeper
passes the jewel falls off the sword afterwards it becomes useless as it existed to
concentrate the former Gate Keeper's Chi into the blade. But it will, like the sword,
exert the same kind of energy and as it was somewhere of light and not of darkness
like the Black Pit of Aragon any powerful being in the Spirit Realms could sense its
presence. And without the sword me and Ungar can just seal you away once again
you know this. With just the Dragon Hearts and not the Sword any attempt at
fighting me or any of us is completely futile, you're doomed to fail. Give up, Taipei.
You will never usurp the Jade Emperor's throne," said Ebisu. "YES I WILL!!!!! You
might have bested me for now Ebisu but eventually I will get the Sword and I will
be unstoppable. You'll see!" said Ebisu. "One more thing before you go; Taiping
and Acon 01 01 01 told me they noticed a strange Silk Worm on your shoulder
that you seemed to position next to your ear. They later realized that the unusual
dark energy they felt must have been coming from the SilkWorm. It is known that
dark beings often speak through the tongues of other living things that they
possess, usually those with little agency like a Silkworm for example. Who's been
feeding you advice Taipei, who told you to eat the Dragon Hearts. That was way
too well thought out to be one of your schemes. So spill it. I'll find out sooner or
later. It's in your best interest to come clean. If you play with fire in Taipei, you will
get burned." Said Ebisu. "It's just a pet Silkworm, what's wrong with having a pet.
And clearly those two were imagining things there's nothing in that worm and they
were clearly just imagining that dark energy." Said Taipei. "The Dark Energy was
real Taipei, I felt it. I didn't know what it was. But it was an ancient evil which
seemed somewhat familiar coming from your castle and it wasn't you." Said Ebisu.
"I'm tired of this ridiculous witch hunt I'm going to take off now! I'll be back
though and when I come back you'll be one of the first to fall by my hand Wind
God!" said Taipei. After this the winged beings took the giant orb and flew off
back in the direction of a portal which led to Emperor Taipei's palace in the demon
world. Ebisu called for his heroes to come to the Wind Palace. For a final meeting
for at least some time.
When they arrived Ebisu explained everything to the last detail about how
Taipei was fooled by his own incompetence and how he was not an immediate
threat, about the SilkWorm, about the fact that Jr. was still doing the chores as he
had a tendency to get distracted, but seriously now all of them including Daniel
knew that for a time they could have some calm in their lives. But that piece would
only last for a few weeks. For a recent rival of these heroes would crash land in
their backyard once again. With news that would send Professor Gillum into panic
and rage.
