A council was held in the Spirit Realm in what was called The Palace of the
Sages it included many prominent Sages throughout time and space including;
Laozi, Confucius, The Buddha, Aristotle, Plato, Socrates, Virgil, St. Augustine of
Hippo, The Christian saint Tertullian, the Moslem Al-Farabi, the Greek
Democritus, Xenophon, Leucippus, Xenophanes, the Chinese Wang Yangming, Zhu
Xi, Xun Kuang, Mozi, Zou Yan, the Roman Plutarch, Persius, and many others
from not only Earth's history but from countless planets and solar systems it was
led by several sacred beings including The angels Hanibal, Haniel, Harut,
Metatron, Mebahiah, Pravuil, Raziel, Samyaza, but also including the sage Yuga
and was led by the sacred being or angel Tennin of Japanese-Buddhist origin. They
discussed the situation on Helios as the situation seemed to become grimmer. They
realized that if this being being Lord Tep was released onto this world he would go
on to destroy them all and create a new world order. They're only hope now was for the Gate Keeper they all spoke to Ungar telepathically through the angel Tennin
who was leading the procession. They entrusted him to teach Daniel the sacred
divine technique that if done correctly would be possibly allow Daniel to banish
Lord Tep for all eternity.
The next morning Daniel, Ungar, Mencius, Oliver, Zengi, Tatu and the
others woke up they all ate breakfast in the Church Lunchroom except for Ungar
who no longer had the ability or need to eat food as a Gettling. Ungar said he
wanted to stay behind and figure something else but he would meet back up with
them as soon as he was finished. They said good bye to Grand Priest Cazo and left
the Church of Helios heading for the City in the Clouds and eventually the Lost
City of R'lyeh. They ran into two brothers who were Dwarves and Weapon's
Merchants and Blacksmiths named Orr and Tyr who came from the Mountains in
the North known as the Iron Hills and was populated almost primarily by Dwarves.
The Dwarves showed they're hospitality to Daniel, Oliver and the others. They
provided food for them when the sun went down and shared their food with them.
In addition to this they sang the songs of their people singing the songs of Dwarven
Folklore of their homeland and cooked a large variety of Rabbits, Rabbits being of
course one of the favorite foods of the Dwarves in this region. When it became late
everyone including the two Dwarves as well as everyone else fell asleep by the
campfire. Daniel drifted to sleep and had dreams of himself seeing perspectives of different people's past lives once again something that he not experienced for quite
some time. He saw himself as a Greek fighting for independence from Turkey in
the 1820s and at the same time as a Turk fighting the Greeks and in another as a
Zulu Warrior fighting the British in South Africa in the late 19 th century and of a
British soldier fighting the fierce African Zulus he also envisioned himself as many
being experiencing hardships and times of peace on other planets as well but
eventually saw himself in Ungar's childhood seeing him being raised as a Magyar
boy and the son of a Magyar chief on the Eurasian Steppe his entire tribe being
wiped out by a tribe of enemy Bulgars and his re-birth into the Gettling known as
Ungar. His destruction that he laid in waste across Europe and Western Asia and
his eventually defeat at the hands of Merlin being sealed for 1,000 years within
Excalibur and then 1,000 years after these events escaping from the seal and once
again wreaking havoc across the Earth being stopped by his father Ebisu and
overtime reforming his ways and turning over a new leaf under Ebisu's guidance
but then the dream stopped and Daniel was in a room full of Galaxies and Stars.
In the middle of the room were three people; the first was the Caterpillar;
Maochong in the middle was Ungar and at the very end the Chinese sage Laozi.
"Why are you all here? Is this to teach me something?' said Daniel. "Laozi was
sent by the Council of Sages to help you learn the Way of the Tao and Ungar over
time is to teach you how to use a sacred power known as the 'Chi Wave,' which if necessary, will help you seal away Lord Tep forever if he somehow breaks into this
world once again." Said the Caterpillar.
Everyone agreed that Laozi would teach Daniel first the way of the Tao and
then Ungar would teach him the 'Chi Wave.' Daniel and Laozi stood in front of
each other and Laozi began to speak; "Remember when I taught you over 3 years
ago that in a way all religions are correct in their own way?" said Laozi. "Kind
of." Said Daniel. "Well, this expands far beyond religions to all ways of thinking
and all ways of doing things. Each of these are called paths and are in their own
way a Dao in themselves. Like I said before all the great religions of Earth for
example; Hinduism, Buddhism, Christianity, Islam, Judaism, Zoroastrianism,
Sikhism, Jainism, Taoism, Confucianism as well as the many minor religions and
the extinct religions of the past are all right in their own way but they are also
wrong in their own way as nothing in this world is perfect there is both perfection
and imperfection in everything. But like I said before this extends beyond religion
to other ways of thinking Capitalism, Communism, so-called Fascism, Democracy,
Monarchies, and similar ideologies as well as simple things such as one person
preferring to play sports and another who prefers to read; these are all right and
wrong at the same time. But where many who follow these ideologies go astray is,
they try to force this world to their own will. To awaken your true power, you must
be one with this world and not fight against it. You must find what I often refer to as the Tao but really this force is something that's in everything; some call its God;
others call it the Universe or Providence and a thousand other things but it is the
Tao and until you learn to flow with the Tao and instead of fighting against it no
foe will be able to stand in your way." Said Laozi.
"Well how do I unlock this
sacred power?" said Daniel. "First relax your mind and calm your spirit
concentrate on nothing yet everything." Said Laozi. "That doesn't make any
sense." Said Daniel. "Do not think about it just do it." Said Laozi. Daniel
begrudgingly accepted Laozi's request and relaxed his mind and calmed his
thoughts he did this for a while and then he finally lost patience. "This is ridiculous
I don't know what I'm supposed to think about." Said Daniel. "Think about
everything and nothing. Try again." Said Laozi. Daniel tried again beginning to
once again feel frustrated until something suddenly clicked.
He began to sense everything in both nature and the cosmos all the rivers
and streams and all of the imperfections and perfection from within this world as
this happened Daniel began to glow with a white glow. "Incredible it takes most
countless lifetimes to master the energy of the Tao but the boy has managed it in
less than an hour. Seeing this gives me faith that we might be able to stop this
monster." Said Laozi. "Yeah, but remember we're only half way finished now I half
to teach Daniel the Chi-Wave." Said Ungar. "You are right. Daniel you can stop."
Said Laozi.
Daniel stopped and exclaimed how excited he was to experience that he said it was like experiencing everything in the world but also nothing more than
his inner-self. "That's great Daniel but now it's time to get down to brass tacks.
You need to use that energy from the Tao and your Chi to harness the power of a
Chi-Wave. Focus that energy on a specific spot and when your ready release it.
Does that make sense?' Said Ungar. "Yeah, it makes sense now that I know how to
summon my Chi." Said Daniel. "Well than you have to fight me while you do it!"
said Ungar. "WHAT?!" said Daniel. "In order to achieve true peace of mind you
must be able to maintain that inner-peace even within the heat of battle. So, get
ready I'm not going easy on you." Said Ungar. The Caterpillar summoned some
energy and a giant arena burst from the ground around Ungar and Daniel with
Laozi and the Caterpillar on the other side of it. "Focus the Chi Daniel!" said
Ungar. As he said this Ungar rushed into battle Daniel was already struggling to
defend against him. This went on for a while to the point where Laozi began to get
worried. "Maybe we should step in and stop the fight." Said Laozi. "Wait!... just
watch." Said the Caterpillar.
As the Caterpillar said this while Daniel continued to be on defense fighting
Ungar he started to glow white and his body seemed to be acting on his own
without him thinking about each individual move. Until finally Daniel pushed out
his palm and shot an incredible beam of light directly at Ungar and just like that the
fighting stopped. The Caterpillar disbanded the arena and Ungar stood there with some tears in his cape and scratches on his armor. "Good job kid. I'd be in real
trouble if I could die." Said Ungar. "It's not only that the Chi Wave only hurts
beings with negative Chi or evil energy and sense there is no darkness in your
heart the Chi Wave would not kill you even if you could die at worst it will give you
some bruises." Said the Caterpillar. "Nothing a little magic can't fix." Said Ungar.
After saying this Ungar fixed his cape and got rid of the scratches on his armor
with his magic. "That's all for now Daniel. You did a great job." Said the
Caterpillar. "You've mastered a technique that within my own knowledge most
people cannot master in a lifetime." Said Laozi. "Yeah, but I can only harness it
for so long. After a couple seconds I feel myself getting weaker." Said Daniel.
"Don't worry we'll work on its kid." Said Ungar.
"By the way kid there's something I need to tell you before you wake up."
Said Ungar. "Yeah, what's that?" said Daniel. "I went back to the Church of Helios
to see if I could find any information on why Balthasar turned but it was only
something I did out of desperation as nothing else seemed to make sense. But the
Priests managed to freeze something with their magic a Malice Bug this is sort of
like a Demonic Leech that takes over a person's mind and if there is any self-doubt
or even a hint of evil in someone it is able to exploit that and completely take over
the body ef ectively killing the person and taking their form." Said Ungar. "So why
couldn't this wait until tomorrow." Said Daniel. "First of I won't be back until around noon tomorrow because I'll have to fly from the Church of Helios to where
you lot are. But it's also because it's only a hunch but I think a Malice Bug
centuries ago turned your father. It makes sense these beings can live inside a
person for centuries depending on the individual's natural life span though it does
not increase or decrease it at all because your father is a Deity it could have done
this. These things can even turn Deities after all. The worst part is I think this was
all put together but Lord Tep in advance which means him losing the first two times
might have been all part of his plan. And if I'm right we're all just playing into his
hands like a bunch of marionettes. I thought when I helped kill the bastard that it
was our will that beat him but maybe he just through the fight. Anyway, I can't do
this right now my mind will continue to run wild. But its best you know what kind
of being we're dealing with. When I arrive at the Great Plateau tomorrow, I'll tell
everyone else what I know. If you want you can fill them in before me but if you
forget I'll understand this of course is all in the form of dream though it is real so
things do get hazy when awake. Until than goodbye Daniel." Said Ungar.
After this Daniel woke up along with everybody else. They said goodbye to
the Dwarves Orr and Tyr who were off to some small mining town to set up shop
and sell some of their weapons. About an hour and a half after the Dwarves and
our heroes split off into different directions everyone noticed an incredible dark
power located somewhere in front of them where they headed that appeared out of nowhere it was clearly demonic in nature. "What is that Tatu I'm scared." Said
Luna. "I'm not sure but everyone keeps your aura down unless you want this
monster to detect you! At least the wizard is hiding his aura. It's nice to know
someone is using their head." Said Tatu. "Wizard?!" said Luna. "Hey Look its
Ungar I hardly even noticed he was there." Said Mencius. Ungar was standing on
top of a small hill but instead of flying jumped to the bottom of the hill. "Everyone
Tatu is right. There is a clif coming up ahead unless you have to do not fly, we're
going to have scale it by hand." Said Ungar. "Wait Ungar I almost forgot tell them
about the thing." Said Daniel. "In a minute Daniel as soon as we know what that
power is coming from." Said Ungar. They all began to climb the cliff at one-point
Luna almost fell but she grabbed Ungar's cape at the last second which kept her in
place. "Luna are you alright?!" said Tatu. "Yeah, I'm fine. Sorry Ungar." Said
Luna. "Don't worry about its kid. Just worry about getting to the top." Said Ungar.
Soon they all arrived at the top of the cliff.
Above them they saw where the energy was coming from it was coming
from a large city in the sky. It was the famed City in the Clouds. The Dark Power
had disappeared almost as if the city was the Dark Power itself. Ungar, Mencius
and Tatu all detected no abnormalities in the city and there was plenty of life within
showing the normal daily life of the citizenry. "Alright now that things look a little
better, I'll explain what I already told Daniel." Said Ungar. After explaining what
Ungar had found at the Church of Helios the strange Demonic Worm that had
changed Balthazar everyone agreed that this was something pregnant. "So, anyone
we meet could potentially be infected by one of these worms." Said Mencius.
"That's right." Said Ungar. "I can't believe it. You and the elf-child were training
while I slept. As I continued to grow weaker you two continued to grow stronger."
Said Tatu. "You shouldn't think like that Tatu and if anything, you should be
worried the person with the most darkness left in your heart is you meaning that
one of these things could kill you. You should be more focused on that." Said
Ungar. "Why don't you bite me." Said Tatu. "In any event we need to head through
the city after that we'll be that much closer to the Lost City of R'lyeh." Said Ungar.
Everyone agreed and also agreed that they could use their flying magic now that it
seemed the coast was clear they were headed straight towards the City in the
Clouds.
