That simple score was the one that was seen on the screens of the whole stadium while the roars of the tigers' crowd resonated inside the whole stadium in sign of jubilee and celebration.
On the other hand the Longhorns' team were lying on the ground with a lost gaze still trying to accept the defeat they had just suffered.
"Damn it!!" Gonzales shouted with fury while he took the helmet off his head and smashed it with fury against the ground in an attempt to remove all the frustration he had on him in that moment.
Hobbs on the other hand had his head lowered while he covered his face completely with his jersey while his shoulders shook uncontrollably in that moment clear sign that under the jersey he was made a sea of tears before the bitter defeat they had suffered.
He had made his best effort this season bringing his team here without being clearly the favorites to win but in spite of everything the victory vanished from their hand in the blink of an eye without even having any remote opportunity.
Even with his head covered his ears did not stop hearing the celebrations that were being carried out in the other half of the field in which the Tigers' players were celebrating the play off title.
In the middle of all that celebration was Wyatt who at a given moment had been surrounded by his teammates and starting to be raised over them being thrown into the air and caught over and over again.
"Put me down put me down!!" he said but the smile and the slight laugh he made clearly indicated how much he was enjoying being thrown and caught in the air by his teammates in that moment.
"Bravo Bravo!!" coach Joseph shouted from one side applauding savagely letting himself be infected by the enthusiasm and spirit of his players what he did not realize was that 2 of his players had approached stealthily behind him holding a Gatorade barrel ready to throw it at him.
As soon as the liquid fell on him wetting him the smile and applause of the coach stopped while he slowly turned back fixing his gaze on the 2 players who still held the barrel and shared a smile from ear to ear between both before the face of the coach.
"Hehe very funny no" coach Joseph said sharing the smile with both while he took the cap off his head which was still soaked and dripping "I suppose you would also like to have double training session next season" the next phrase the coach said erased the smile of both players while the coach's widened even more.
"Coach no..." one started to say quickly trying to get the coach to take pity on them but before he could finish talking the coach had moved away from them to join the celebration with the rest of players.
"We are screwed" was the thought that appeared in both players imagining the hell that would await them next season once the coach puts his claws on both.
While both players lamented coach Joseph soon arrived at the center where the great majority of players were gathered surrounding Wyatt who was in the center of everything celebrating with each one of them until his eyes landed on him.
"Coach" Wyatt said approaching quickly towards him and wrapping him in a big hug while laughing from ear to ear "We are champions!!" he shouted full of euphoria right into the ear of the coach who simply wrapped his arm around him "We did it boy" the coach said sharing the same joy as his quarterback.
What he did not see coming was that Wyatt immediately surrounded his shoulders while the players around him wrapped him and raised the body of the coach over their heads "What are you doing?" the coach said quickly fearing that at any moment he could fall resoundingly against the solid ground under his feet.
Once he felt how his body rose upward he felt as if his world fell while gravity did its job and his body fell to then be caught again by the arms of the players and rise again into the air over and over again.
"Put me down Put me down!!" the coach shouted just as Wyatt had done minutes before but if Wyatt said it with a laugh he said it with clear panic in his voice fearing that in a given moment they would not catch him and he would fall resoundingly to the ground.
A few throws later the players decided that they had already played a good joke on their coach so they slowly lowered him to the ground so he could stand on his feet.
As soon as his feet touched the ground the coach immediately gave a sigh of total relief while he took a hand to his chest in an attempt to calm his heart which did not stop beating rapidly after that scare.
"Don't think I will forget this!!" the coach shouted while he moved away a few steps in case the players plotted something else against him but seeing that they simply laughed at him he muttered something in a low voice while letting his players continue with their celebration.
When the adrenaline was decreasing Wyatt little by little was attracting the attention of his teammates "Guys guys" he said capturing the attention of all his teammates there is to respect our rivals.
After saying that he immediately started to line up his teammates just as the longhorns players started to do and they shook hands between them in a clear sign of sportsmanship and good play.
No one said anything in that moment since there was no word they could say without sounding condescending or boastful so immediately finished that the longhorns players left the stadium not willing to continue witnessing the tigers' celebration before their defeat.
While they were on the way out the cheerleaders and family members of the tigers' players entered quickly into the field making the atmosphere of celebration inside the field become more animated immediately.
A reporter from the news team also entered along with her cameraman to the field of play and immediately started to search with her gaze for the player whom she sought to interview and as soon as she saw him she approached as fast as her heels allowed her.
"Wyatt some questions please" the reporter said first with the cameraman behind her already pointing the camera towards her "Sure" Wyatt responded already being used to those interviews after the game.
"How does it feel to finish this undefeated season with one more trophy?" was the first question the reporter launched immediately pointing the microphone in direction towards him.
"Wow it is really surreal the truth but this was not only my work it was the work of all my teammates both in the offense and in the defense without them I would not have been able to get here" was the diplomatic response Wyatt gave in front of the camera.
"With your performance in this game it will be obvious that you will be the indisputable mvp" the reporter added quickly with a smile that she shared along with Wyatt who also smiled.
"Hahaha yes thanks that is another one for the showcase I suppose" Wyatt responded remembering the showcase he had at home where he had several trophies and where he probably would also place the mvp plaque of the game that he would receive soon.
"Now then let's move to the final question and the one that probably everyone is asking themselves currently" this time the reporter's smile went from being cordial to a cunning one "Which will be the team in which we will see Wyatt Sterling next season?" she said to then add "Will we perhaps see him continue playing here in Texas?" she continued interrogating while mentally hoping that yes.
As a reporter in Texas she knew that football here was a religion and that the Texas longhorns had been one of the official visits that Wyatt had made so as a fan and former student she internally hoped that he would decide to continue playing here in Texas.
Before that series of questions Wyatt let out a low smile before recomposing himself quickly already knowing that he had made a decision long ago but wisely decided to keep it for now "I already made a decision but you will know soon on ESPN" Wyatt said informing everyone that he already had a decision made and that he would announce it soon.
After that and seeing that the reporter had no more questions for him Wyatt immediately moved away disposed to return to join the celebration that his teammates carried out while the event organizers set up the stage for the delivery of medals and recognitions.
But on his way he was interrupted by someone with the tigers' cheerleader uniform letting her voluptuous figure shine along with her toned legs and her caramel-colored skin tone and curly hair the girl in question was quite a delight for the eyes.
"Nichelle" Wyatt said towards the girl who had in front of him and gave him a smile in his direction.
"Hey good game captain" she said giving him her biggest smile while she had both hands with her pom poms on her waist.
Wyatt could not avoid that his gaze involuntarily traversed Nichelle's body stopping briefly on the bulging bust that jumped in front of his view.
"My eyes are up here" she said already knowing where Wyatt's gaze was directed although she did not complain at all about where they landed.
Raising his gaze Wyatt resumed concentration on the girl in front of him "Do you need something?" he asked curious to know the reason why Nichelle intercepted him on his way back to the celebration along with his teammates.
"I was wondering if you would go to the party at Adam's house leaving from here?" she asked while she took a hand to her hair and played with one of her curls as if the answer she could receive from Wyatt was not of the most relevance.
Seeing that a smile landed on Wyatt's face upon seeing Nichelle's attempt at disinterest while responding to her "Of course I will be there I would not miss it for anything in the world" he said and it seems that answer completely satisfied Nichelle.
Once Nichelle obtained the answer she wanted a smile landed on her face while she shook her soft curls and passed next to Wyatt "I'll see you there then" she said while she slightly squeezed the bicep of Wyatt's arm and turned back towards the group of Cheerleaders who were whispering among themselves seeing the interaction between both.
Seeing that group of Cheerleaders Wyatt raised his hand in their direction causing some to laugh even more and return the greeting and one or another suggestive look in direction towards him.
Laughing low Wyatt focused in direction towards the stage that had already been mounted and together with all his teammates they went direct to the podium where representatives granted them their gold medals as winners of the tournament.
"Good job boy" one of them said in the moment he was in front of Wyatt and placed the medal on his neck "Thank you sir" Wyatt responded with humility while he continued his step and gave way to his next teammate so that he could receive the medal.
Once everyone had their medals on their neck the master of ceremonies took the microphone "Ladies and gentlemen before giving you the trophy there are some prizes that we must deliver first of all the MVP of the game I imagine everyone knows who it will be" he said with a smile under the roar of the crowd.
"WYATT STERLING" the master of ceremonies shouted causing screams of jubilee among the tigers' players.
"Let's go cap" one said "That's how it's done" Adam said while giving strong pats on the back to Wyatt who under the assault of his teammates picked up his plaque that indicated he was clearly the offensive MVP of the game after that the presenter said that the defensive MVP went to Matt Dimon causing screams of jubilee from the tigers having both MVPs on their own team in that final.
After that the master of ceremonies shouted at the top of his voice "Ladies and Gentlemen the Play off champions the Katy tigers!!" the team jumped again and celebrated in a clear sign of jubilee while all that was recorded by the cameras moment in which a legend began to emerge and a new moment in the history of football was immortalized.
