From my study window, I observed the scene unfolding in the gardens below.
Lyra stood there with her sister, their figures small from this height. The distance prevented me from catching their words, yet their physical interaction spoke volumes. Daphne wrapped her arms around Lyra in what appeared to be an embrace. Her face buried against Lyra's shoulder, her frame trembling with what seemed like tears.
To any casual observer, this would look like a touching reunion. Sisters reconciling after turmoil. The concerned family member offering comfort to her troubled sibling. Anyone witnessing this moment would see exactly that narrative.
Yet through our bond, I experienced something entirely different.
