Lyra's POV
The sharp rap against the door came while I still cradled my morning tea between both hands.
Mia rose from her chair and moved across the small room. She cracked the door open just enough to glimpse the visitor waiting outside.
An Omega servant stood in the corridor wearing the standard uniform of pressed gray fabric. Her fingers were laced together at her waist, and when she spotted me perched on the edge of the bed, she bent into a respectful curtsy.
"Forgive me for the early interruption."
I placed my ceramic mug on the wooden nightstand beside me. "No harm done. What brings you here?"
"Elder Silas has sent me with instructions." Her gaze remained fixed downward. "The Grand Luna, Luna Rowena, has requested your immediate presence in her private chambers."
I pushed myself to my feet. "Did she say why?"
The servant dipped her head again. "I was not told the reason for the summons."
"Tell her I'll come right away."
