Lyra's POV
The nightmare dragged me back into that cursed place once again.
I found myself trapped within Hera's flesh, her consciousness somewhere beneath mine as cold metal restraints carved deep grooves into my wrists and ankles. The harsh fluorescent lights above flickered intermittently, casting sickly shadows across the sterile chamber that had become my personal hell.
Every surface in this wretched room felt designed to inflict maximum discomfort. The icy steel table beneath my spine sent chills racing through every nerve ending. The leather straps held me down with ruthless efficiency, cutting off circulation whenever I dared to struggle.
Then came the injection.
The syringe pierced my arm with surgical precision, flooding my veins with something that made my stomach revolt instantly. Whatever poison they pumped into me sent waves of nausea crashing through my system like a violent storm.
The chainsaw's mechanical roar filled the chamber.
