Daphne's POV
Orion reached me in three quick strides across the bathroom floor. His palms settled on my shoulders, radiating warmth through my skin. "What I'm trying to say is that the whole situation is twisted. You would never deliberately harm someone like that."
"You can't be certain of that."
"But he still forced himself on you, right?"
The question suspended itself in the air between us. Part of me desperately wanted to confirm his assumption. I craved his belief in my innocence. Yet I understood the reality. That recording had exposed every detail. Had documented precisely what I had chosen to do.
"And all this garbage they're spreading about your sister and her supposed virtue," Orion's tone grew sharp with anger. "I've witnessed her true nature myself. The cruel woman she really is underneath. I don't trust a single word of their lies."
