Chapter 8 - Part 7 - A Quick One

Dear reader.

The first mission was awful.

We enter the building where Iri is located. Naku uses his shapeshifting abilities to fit through all the vents.

On the way to the cell where they have him captive, we engage in a firefight indoors.

The bolts from the rayguns ricochet off of the glass roof and strike several of our side's body parts.

My hand was grazed three times; the Soldarians use a sort of physical weapon, like a primitive gun,

Bo turns her arm into a rocket-fist or whatever and bashes in all of the enemies. She takes her arm and retracts it, snatches the key from one of them, and opens the jail cell where he is contained.

He has long black hair, jet black. With two horns poking out, he's a Geoporian, one-eyed alien. He's seemingly a mutant and has two eyes.

The first word he says is "Duck."

I dropped. A fist the size of my torso smashed into the wall where my head had been. The shockwave tore through the room, blowing out bars and support beams. The entire crew was thrown backward.

The attacker landed in the open space and reshaped his right hand into a dense platinum hammer. He moved fast, in supersonic bursts that left smoke and dust in his wake. Rayguns fired wildly, bolts still glowing as they tumbled through the air. He crashed into Naku's gelatinous form. Naku convulsed, his body flashing from blue to dark gray to a sick green.

"One bites the dust," the man said.

Aedar steps towards him, and the man tosses up a guard; A'roll equips his shotgun from his back and blasts at the figure; the bolts pepper his skin and leave red marks.

He then shapeshifts, with an exoskeleton along his back. The transformation is horrible and gross; you can see spikes forming and bones fusing together. There's blood and bones being ripped out of his current form to make his second one. The bolts of energy being shot at him from A'roll hit Oza; she falls down.

He then steps over her and turns his hand into a cutlass, about to stab through her and kill her, of course.

Aedar rushes in front of her and is stabbed through the ribs. The man rolls his eyes and finally begins to talk.

"I am Ysolith, Ysolith the Hammer of Aheia. A demigod created with the purpose of stopping space tyrants like your federation from hurting my beautiful homeland. I've killed over seventeen million of your soldiers, and I'll do it again."

Bo generates a plasma cannon and strikes him in the belly.

Ysolith steps back; he impales Aedar through his wrist to his ribcage and uses him like a shield to block the plasma, melting the top of his uniform.

He shifts his arm into a plasma cannon and points it towards Aedar's back; he reaches out as if he's trying to grab something.

Nobody helps him besides me. Ysolith generates an arm from his exoskeleton along his spinal cord; he shakes his hand, then rips my turban smooth off of my forehead.

"You're an Auillan…" He states, smirking. "Never thought one of them would ever be in the Federation."

Iri flies over before launching herself forward, emitting a purplish-pink aura.

Leg turning into pure energy, something you'd see out of a cartoon or a comic book.

Surreal, he tries to nullify Yso's ability, but it doesn't work.

Yso then shapeshifts into him, using her abilities against her, ramming his horn into his chest. Iri exclaims in agony and pain and falls to the ground.

"I'm having a talk right now!" He exclaims.

He then tosses Aedar across the battlefield. He raises his arm and creates platinum prisons for the rest of the crew, narrowing his focus on me.

"Anemir told me you'd be here, Co'ol." He cracks his neck. "Me and him are great friends." He crosses his arms, then he claps.

Several humanoids launch out of the ground; they have five arms and are pitch black.

They're not very durable; there are a few dozen of them, though.

They ignore me and choose to fight the rest of the crew.

"Maybe this fight will help you put that Syreline to good use." Yso's arm shakes, veins pop from it as he expels a ball of fire towards my belly.

I blink for a moment and see him leap into the air; opening my eyes, he hasn't done the action yet. I move out of the way; he seems impressed.

"You're one of those meta-vision-having Auillians, aren't ye?" He stares.

I nod my head.

"Just so you know, anything you can do—I can do better." His skeleton falls apart, his Soldarian form cracks and leaves a sheath. Underneath is the body of a Potenes; the body is me. Except.. Nude.

"They weren't lying when they said you had potential." He raises his right arm and manifests some sort of bright blue construct out of his left arm; he punches me in my dermal.

The under part of my eye is very sensitive since that thing they did to me when I was a toddler. He knew this, and he exclusively aimed for my face.

I managed to duck and weave the first three punches; the fourth hits my chin. He visibly pouts when it doesn't hit my eye.

I hear A'roll yell from a distance, and he's carrying Bo's arm, but it's in the shape of a sword. He slices down at Yso; the blade cuts his arm off.

"Die! Die, slow motherfucker!" A'roll exclaims, slicing at Yso's body.

Ysolith grabs A'roll by the sides of his face; A'roll still uses the blade to slice and cut Yso's skin.

Ysolith begins squeezing his head; A'roll shakes and drops the weapon. Even then, Yso doesn't stop.

"I'm not going to sit here and watch this anymore—" He slaps my silly with a generated arm.

"Shut the hell up before I do you like how I do this, jenti!"

A'roll laughs, then zips his jacket off, kicking off of Yso's body.

The jacket explodes with enough force to destroy a building. A'roll overestimated the amount of energy it'd take to completely annihilate Yso, and he's sent flying and skidding across the asphalt ground, along with me. I'm blasted into a rock formation.

The rest of the crew is discussing some sort of battle plan. A'roll turns to me and says.

"I killed that bastard."

The ground shakes a bit.

An arm comes out of the ground and pulls Aedar into the ground. He yells and pleads for help; everyone's caught off guard, and it's to no avail.

Bo, without her cybernetic arm, really can't do anything. A'roll is now suffering from a sort of brain damage.

Naku crawls out of Oza's pockets as a tiny little blob.

"C'mon, guys! We can just leave! We got Iri. Let's just go!" He says.

The team nods their heads.

Except for A'roll.

"Shit, man, I want to win." He exclaims, stretching, and runs towards Yso.

He's flicked back to our little corner.

"Yeah, he's got it."

Maybe one day we'll find out how to stop him.

Right as we get ready to call in our rescue shuttle, three pods land.

They have a theme song and a camera crew with them. A large, over 4-meter-tall ginger male steps out of his pod. He points to himself.

"The name's Angner, champ. And you've been causing the Federation too much anger for us to let you walk around here unschathed!" He exclaims.

A man zips around him and jabs Ysolith a few hundred times before returning to where he needs to be. He's wearing bright blue spandex with little cyan lines going down the sides. He's spinning like a ballerina, and he begins to talk.

"I'm Ellios, the fastest person in the universe."

And lastly, someone else begins to talk. A blonde, earthling-looking guy who flips a coin.

"I"m their leader, Esmes. And you stop your tyranny now! Tyrant!"

They begin their battle. I'm confident it was great, and amazing, and such.

It was even broadcast on the news.

We have bigger stuff to worry about, though. A'roll was so badly injured that he needed to be sent back to Opranus immediately, and I decided to go back with him.
